This is something, I started like 2 years ago to give a background on Nemesis, and I found that this plot gave me a great opportunity to continue it.

 

Hidden Disturbances(part 3)

 

The Royal chamber was massive and expansive, with a large open window that gave a grand view into the massive Velgan jungle. The Velnus stood peering out at the grand trees and his Monkien subjects going about their business. A knock sounded from a the door behind him, he let out a grunt that gave the knocker permission to enter his chamber. The large door slowly swung open, revealing a shadowed figure slightly smaller than the Velnus himself, though obviously of the same breed.

 

The figure knelt as to considerably larger figures closed the door behind me. “Father, I have completed the task for you, the ore we gained from planet was in great amounts, and the traitors were of course slain in the course as you demanded.” The figure said to the Velnus as he began to rise.

 

“Yes, Nemesis” The Velnus said towards to the figure as he slowly turned around. “I heard of how you decided to slay those heretics, and I am most pleased to have you as my son. You carry the great strength of your predecessors.” The Velnus continued forward towards his son. “I have another task for you, this one shall prove if you shall ever be able to replace myself as Velnus.”

 

Nemesis looked at his father, gazing into his eyes “Whatever you demand, my lord” Nemesis said with no reservation in his face, he knew his duty and his destiny. “I shall take any task you give me, even if it shall spell out my death.”

 

“As you know, our people have an encountered an enemy that provides a great challenge to our superiority.” The Velnus turned his back to his son and moved back to the window. “The humiliating failure of the scouting mission to the Revin planet has brought forth high morale among the Rebels, and now are gathering strength.” The stillness of the Velnus’ grand tail showed an obvious sign of stress that Nemesis was not accustomed to from his father. “Nemesis, you are the Velnar, and my son, to show that I have faith in our victory” He took a long pause “I must send you into the battle”

 

“I accept this mission with great honour and pride my lord” Nemesis knelt again taking a bow in front of his father. (to be continued)
