Budged Distractions

Personal Log April 28, 2155

Lt.jg. Dave Grey

-------------------------------------

This has the unexpected effect of decreasing the net amount of motor control . . .” Grey’s eyes drooped as he continued reading. The material was fascinating, not boring, but he could not help it. He was just continually too distracted to read it, which was unfortunate because the doctors on Earth were unable to provide any news other than bad news (budget cuts).

He sighed and put the treatise aside. Perhaps later, yes, perhaps after a refreshing shower and some sleep. Grey’s stomach chose to interject at that moment with an indecisive rumble. It sounded as if the pecan pie was not agreeing with him after all, and he debated whether or not he should stop by sickbay. Eventually he decided not to, and instead just dimmed the lights and sat quietly on his bed, slipping into a meditative state.
