0409.28: As the family hunts, Messner begins to suspect Ktort is not as honorable as he pretends to be, and baits him with questions. Ktort answers (badly) and goes ahead with his plan. He pretends to clean his disruptor and fires at Jay and Val. Mnstral knocks him off balance, and he only singes Jay’s hair. Ktort and Mnstral then fight and his true dishonor is unveiled for all to see. As Messner prepares to kill him, Mnstral reveals that he holds the antidote to a poison he has given her. We knock him unconscious instead and ponder what to do while Mnstral staples Messner’s wound. Meanwhile, someone unseen has launched a bomb at the entire group…

 

Kwalus walks her property checking it out after being gone so long.

 

0409.21: Ktort has set a two-part poison for the sons of Bch, the first part in their bedding, the other in their food. Fortunately for them, the boys got themselves sick on under-ripe grapes and can’t eat lunch. The family prepares to hunt, and Ktort sees this as his next opportunity.

 

Kwalus continues to await word from her brother-in-law and continues going through the memories of times long ago.

 

Daryus and Angie pursue a relationship. Angie is investigating being human again with Daryus' help. They are heading to New Orleans to attend Mardi Gras.

 

0409.16: While Bch and family tour the vineyards, Ktort stays behind in the house with some lame excuse.

Kwalus examines memories of T'Mar, Rhoz, and her son. She contacts KMat, her Brother-In-law, currently caring for her son.

 

0409.07: Councilman Konath’s messenger arrives at the House of Bch to warn about Qunjalth and deliver two mekleths for the sons of Bch. Councilman Qunjalth also arrives to requests to talk to Messner in private at his hunting lodge. The Federation crew arrives at Earth and after a general meeting is released for a reception. Full debriefing takes a week after which all are released for an indefinite leave.

 

Kwalus makes her way to her old home to find it mostly empty. She looks to the old holopics of her son wishing he would join her once the QoB Is placed back into commission.

 

0409.01: The celebration banquet ends as morning dawns. An available Federation starship has pulled in during the night, and in the morning the Federation crew boards and departs. Bch and Messner go “home” and meet Mnstral and husband Ktort. Kwalus talks with council member Konath who offers some kind of a deal.
