Marine HQ

 

First Lieutenant Jacob Duncan stared at the new mound of padds on his desk.

 

"I'm never going to get through this mess."

 

Ever since he had taken on some of the admin duties while the colonel and major were gone, he had spent some very long times at his small desk reading through the most mundane reports. Reports about how many phaser discharges per minute...who has the best phaser target accuracy..etc and so forth. Duncan quietly thought to himself that if he ever was offered a desk job he'd turn it down quickly.

 

Duncan had heard rumblings of some Marine fighters. Basically like 20th century jets but with a lot more firepower.

 

Duncan quietly picked up a padd...filed it into the Marine report system and then cleared it.

 

Duncan started tapping away.

 

"Requistion request: Permission to personally test one of the new Marine fighters that are being developed. I will be available at any time to do so."

 

He quietly punched up the recipients of the request...the Colonel...and Mr. Seiben.

 

Then he quietly tapped send.
