0311.05: Superheating the hull of the ship kills the microbiotic colonies. However, this region of space is infested with the organisms and the hull is re-infested as soon as it cools. Engineering devises a system for cooking a wake to travel in using the main deflector.

0310.29: Some kind of organism is eating holes in our hull on decks 12-14. So far we have been able to determine that extreme heat slows its growth. Meanwhile, an unknown energy beam of high intensity has penetrated our shields and cloak and read our entire computer core, and then disappeared. There is no residual trace of this energy.
