Trichon

Starfleet Bio Ens Trichon Light

Starfleet Personnel File: Light, Trichon

Full Name: Trichon Rem Light

Rank: Lt.

Serial Number: SC 587-215

Current Assignment: Assistant engineer USS Arcadia NCC-1742-E

Age: 23

Birthplace: Tycho City Lunar Colony

Race: Half Human/Half El-Aurian

Personal History: Trichon was born in Tycho city to parents Gary Light, and Eleanor Light. Both were farmers and Trichon learned basic farming at a young age. As he grew his parents noticed that he was a quick learner and enrolled him in an advanced placement school. When he was 12 a friend at school introduced him to ancient Earth antiquities called "Automobiles". Trichon was fascinated with cars from then on out, they became a passion for him. Trichon's friends also introduced him to Shuttlecrafts. He learned to pilot a shuttle by the time he was 14. The faster the shuttle the better. He always asociated a shuttle with a really fast car. From then on out he decided he was going to Starfleet Academy and learn all he could about making things go faster. When he asked his father if he could attend his father strictly forbid him from going. He was going to be a farmer like the rest of them. That was the last time he spoke to his father. Trichon ran-away from Tycho and headed for the academy.

Family History: Gary Light was actually a half El-Aurian. Him and his first wife, another El-Aurian, were on the refuge ships transporting them to earth. They were on one of the 2 ships caught up during the first Nexus event. Gary Light was one of the 47 survivors rescued from the Lacul by the crew of the Enterprise-B. His wife was not so fortunate. Gary blamed Starfleet for the death of his wife. He said if they could rescue him and some of the others why not her. Upon reaching Earth Garry took up residence in the New Tycho lunar colony. He lived there for several years before meeting the woman who was to become his second wife, Eleanor. Gary decided to keep his El-Aurian heritage secret from her. They married and lived happily for several years before there first and only son Trichon was born. When his son decided he wanted to join Starfleet if stirred up old memories that Gary had buried almost 80 years before. His refusal to let his son join was a result of that encounter years earlier. Because of his refusal to let his son join his son ran away(see above entry). 3 years later Eleanor died of old age. It has recently been discovered that Gary Light had dealings with the Loami symbiote sometime in the past. It seems as though Gary decided to hide on the Trill home world as he was on the run from someone or something. It was only on Gary's death bed that he decided to let his son know of his El-Aurian decent. The only item that Trichon has to remember his father by are his logs and a small triangular necklace with one small blue stone set in it.

Academy Years: Trichon excelled in all of his engineering classes at the academy. Warp core theory was a particular favorite of his. Another was Shuttle maintenance, and piloting. In one of his progress reports he was said to be "Mr. Lights skills in a shuttle are only excelled by his ability to maintain and repair one." Orginally he intended to be a starship designer instead of a ships engineer. A professor at the academy changed his mind and started to steer him towards becoming a ships engineer. During his time at the academy he had a reputation of being a ladies man as well. His friend once told him that he was almost as smooth with women as he was at piloting a shuttle. He graduated with honors and a 3.8 gpa. Only days after his graduation he received a posting to the USS Arcadia. A few days later he was on a cargo ship to Starbase 36 to take his post.

Service Record: So far Trichon has been beamed into empty space, swam around in the sewers of the Lodi Colony, and almost killed a crew mate on Arcady Prime. Through it all though he has kept a positive attitude. He has quickly become adapted to life aboard a starship and has come to call Arcadia home. Upon his first promotion Lt. Commander Jaruq has appointed Trichon as head of Auxilary craft. One of his first projects had been a modified shuttle craft(see Light Flyer entry below) that he had been working on the design for. He has also begun a relationship with Dr Ruca Netani.

Specs for "Light Flyer": Type: Medium long-range warp shuttle.

Accommodation: Two flight crew

Power Plant: One 400 cochrane warp engine, two 800 millicochrane impulse engines, six RCS thrusters.

Dimensions: Length, 8.5 m; beam, 4.61 m; height 2.67 m.

Mass: 2.61 metric tones.

Performance: Warp 6.

Armament: Two Type-IV phaser emitters, jamming devices.

After Arcadias training mission to Granada II there was the matter of a shuttle that had been used for the training excercises. Trichon looked at this as his opportunity to put his personal shuttle design to use. His intention was to create a high speed, highly maneuverable, short range recon vessel. The Type 9 shuttle that was used for the Granada mission was a perfect fit for the new upgrades. The shuttles systems have been modified allowing the computer to increase reaction time by almost 35 seconds. Also several jamming and sensor arrays have been added taking up some of the original passenger space. The shuttle can be piloted by a crew of one but for recon missions it should be manned by a crew of 2 for maximum affect. The drawback to the shuttle is its light aramanet as it only sports two type IV phaser emitters.
