Secret's and gumbo.

Personal log, Stardate 0410.06:

Gotta thank Madam Marie. The snores coming out of my guestroom please me. I'm so glad Angie is finally getting some real sleep. I finished my gumbo and put it to warm and walked out on the balcony to look out at the city. My mind was troubled. I'm worried about Koralev. He was exonerated by the Klingon's for the murder of the Vort crew, Konath had looked like he would have actually hugged the boy. The Klingon's were Duras, therefore honorless in the eyes of the Empire and especially to Konath's house. But, I knew Starfleet. They would not take the murder of a dozen unarmed Klingon's by a Starfleet officer very well. I walked back into my apartment and called Admiral Wolfe's office. I left a message for him to contact me. I checked on Angie once more, grabbed a combadge and left to have a nice walk along the river to ease my mind. As I was walking down Canal St, my badge chirped. I ducked in a doorway and answered it. Admiral Wolfe sounded angry at my call, he told me Koralev was none of my affair because he outranked me. I reminded Wolfe that at the time of the incident, I was senior officer in security outranking the (at the time) ensign. I told him I would offer testimony if needed. His tone calmed a bit as he told me I would be contacted if needed. He told me to enjoy my shoreleave and closed the connection. The tone of his voice said he was hiding something. I walked along Canal till I reached Starfleet command. I sat at a terminal and tried to access Lt Koralev's file to see what had happened to him after the deposition's. The file had been locked out by who else, Admiral Wolfe. My whiskers bristled and my tail twitched. I'd bet caitnip to credit's something was up. I headed to the turbolift. My mother's office was in the 15th floor of the science wing. I was going to tell her of the situation and my worries and see if she could pull some clout and find out what happened to the young russian. More later.
