Outta Time II

The as-yet-unidentified ship crashing into our forward section played havoc with systems throughout the ship. From my damaged terminal I did what I could to reroute key systems, but there just wasn't that much to work with. The only things still fully functional were navigation, basic thrusters, incoming communications, and remote sensors. Not even the cloak was working. A dangerous situation indeed considering we were probably already visable to the tracking devices of the time.

I did what I could to enhance thrusters and navigation and at least give Messner the ability to maneuver the ship behind Earth's moon to avoid being detected. While Daryus monitored Earth's communications to learn if we had been spoted, and inbetween the figurative and literal fires that needed putting out, our scanners detected a combination of Klingon and Federation energy signitures coming from the surface, specifically latitude 36 North and longitude 115 West. A video enhancement confirmed 2 B'rel class Birds of Prey and 2 Class 9 shuttles in a firefight over what in this time is Las Vegas, Nevada.

While Daryus, Koralev, and a couple other crewmen took a shuttle to investigate, making a rapid decent and then flying low to avoid radar, and while Garnoopy and Nurse Betty were in the MRF caring for a wounded HoD KBear among others, I proceeded to survey the damage. The other ship, which looked to be a one-man flyer, had smashed into our forward hull and was still lodged within our superstructure. This will be difficult to remove without causing further damage to our own ship. The only way I can see to dislodge it is to ring the outside with demolitions and blast it away. For the time being, however, I wanted to identify that ship and see what would posess it to crash into us.

Upon opening the ship I noticed the pilot, a Terran, lay dead. It's computer core was still intact but it used an operating system I am not familiar with. Whatever it was it was considerably more advanced than the standard LCARS interface, causing me to speculate that it might be some kind of time ship. I reported my preliminary findings to the MeH and began downloading what files I could retrieve to my tricorder for analysis. I would gamble this will turn out to be quite an experience. :P
