Finding Peace in a New Place

Sage sat quietly in meditation in the small transport craft on her way to her new assignment. She had only ever been on a star base a few times in her life, and she didn’t really have a clue of what she was into working on such a big craft. Her anxiousness was rising in her, and she was fighting with herself to keep the cool and calm demeanor of the Vulcan race.

 

As she sat there, she decided to open her eyes to the view screen to see if they were any where near the star base yet. She was awed by the sight she saw. She knew that star bases were big, but this one seems bigger. Maybe it was just her nerves… She shut her eyes again and continued her meditations, knowing that very soon she would be on board.
