                 I hope I am not overstepping what little authority I have in saying

this.....But in the interest of the safety of the Republic, and her crew, I feel I must.

                 While I was manning the TAC station I was ordered to fire a quantum

torpedo......which, after locking on to the Ferengi Marauder's coordinates....

I did indeed fire....with disapointing results.....it missed. Which brings me to the point of this message....

                  I know that the torpedo was properly locked on to the Ferengi

ship, and the coordinates were correct, so we must have a malfuncion elsewhere.

A faulty guidance lock, perhaps ? Or maybe the targeting sensors were off ?

                 I don't really know very much in the engineering field, so I could be way off base.......But I do think this needs checked out.
