I only managed to catch the second half of the episode, but wow...How intense. I can't wait to catch the rerun on Sunday just so that I can see the whole episode. They just had me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait to see the finale next week. I feel very confident that Enterprise will go out with a bang this season! ;)

So, Comments??

It was great except the way Hayes died didn't like that too much... The Aquatic's ship be destroyed was sweet. Also when the insectiod ship crashed into the weapon that was sweet too ;)

Hey there,

No, didn't miss it. ;)

Did enjoy the episode. I am interested to see what eventually happens in the season finale. I also agree that I don't like the entire Hayes death sequence. I don't know...I would have been more shocked if they'd had him live.

I dont like the idea of marines on the Enterprise anyway...so I would have been satisfied if they'd just killed all of them off ::shrug::.

I can't wait for the season finale, particularly the new season. I hope we end the Xindi plot next week...and at the start of season 4 the Xindi are never, never, ever spoken about again.

I thought it was pretty good myself. I also didn't particularly like the Major Hayes death scene myself, but I still can't wait for the Season finale next week, should be quite good I hope. ;)

I just hope they find a space dock somewhere and put the NX-01 back together...It looks like they are flying around space in a block of metallic swiss cheese ;)

I guess Paramount figures a bunch of Star Trek fans have nothing better to do on Friday nights.

I would love to prove them wrong... but they're probably right. ;)

Major Hayes was all right but he was a real #$%^%$#@. But the episode was really intense.

Hey there,

Just realized something...keep in mind that Countdown is not the final episode of the third season. ;)

As for the MACOs, I'm up in the air about them. Apparently, the concept remained active within Starfleet...as we did see their 24th Century counterparts on Deep Space Nine during the Dominion War.

As for the NX-01 falling apart, I actually like that aspect of it. They are holding solid to continuity! That's something I was terrified they wouldn't do this season. One of the reasons the story lines have been so engaging is that they make sense and are consistent....unlike the fourth incarnation of Star Trek.

You must mean DS9.

1) Star Trek

2) Star Trek: The Animated Series

3) Star Trek: The Next Generation

4) Star Trek: Deep Space 9

I think Fred meant the 4 incarnation that actaully mattered Van Roy ;)

(Yes I know. I'm knocking the animated series. :D )

Yeah, Im all for continuity Fred, but at the same time...If you ever paused one of the latest episodes and acutally took a long hard look at the hull, you'd be suprised that one freakin torpedo wouldn't blow them out of the water...

Just how the **** is a polorized hull gonna protect you from a barage of torps anyway?

((You'd think the Vulcans would give us a bone and give us shields but eh...))

I think it was nice. I have no idea how polerized hull would protect you. YES! HAYES IS DEAD! Hoshi gets a Brain Teaser. Insectoids gets a knock on the head. AND whoa! Look at all those swiming pools on that Aquatic ship.

Great Episode.

OK, I didn't see the episode, but maybe not. The water that is exposed to the cold of space would freeze, but you have to remember that not all the water is exposed. The ice that is formed would act as a hull reinforcement (albeit a very weak one) and form a seal that would trap most of the remaining water inside.

yeah, when theres heat the water would vaporize and the ship just crumbles. It hurted me when i saw the water spewing out. Poor Aquatics.... ;)
