Things are looking poor as Cardinal's health continues to deteriorate. Dr. Juno does his best to treat him, but can't make him better. A Klingon doctor is brought in from the surface, and there is not much he can do. It's theorised that he was poisoned by an anti-coagulant agent of which there does not seem to be a cure for. With slightly less than 24 hours to live at most, a decision must be made on what to do next. Meanwhile, the ship sustains more damage when a grenade goes off near sickbay, but injures Commander Ba'alyo and Doug.
