= /\ = USS MANTICORE BRIEFING #1020, STARDATE 51902.25 = /\ =
Manticore was ordered to sector 821 just within the
Federations deep space territory. Upon arrival they found a
starbase destroyed by a ship gone rogue. Suddenly Manticore
seemingly went "rogue" herself severely damaging the USS
Bauer in the process. Soon the engineering team was able to
regain control of the ship then assessed the Bauer. Damage
done to the ship will require Manticore to tow them back to
base. In addition, sensors discovered an unidentified warp
trail leaving the sector. Then, after retrieving the starbase
black box, science determined there had been a cloaked ship
present during the Sumadi's attack on the starbase.

McFly: To catch everyone up we seems the Bauer and the Station detected a small radiation spike that we can only assume was ignored or not recognized but we now know to be a cloaked ship. She was there before the station blew up. I have science going over our own logs to see if she was still there when we arrived. I going to make an early assumption that she was considering once we returned from our own "incident", Keb detected a small warp trail leaving in the opposite direction.

Gila Orrak: They have devices less advanced than Rihans, and those two are the only two major players in the cloaking game.
Gila Orrak: It's an older model as well, as they have to shift massive amounts of power to go from cloak to propulsion..
McFly: Well... I wouldn't say the only players. ::winks to KK::

McFly: I haven't known Klingons to do anything sneaky so I'm not jumping to conclusions that it was them. But we could be dealing with a stolen klingon ship.

Gila, continue going over the logs cause I want to know if that ship was still there when we were. Erich, Bren, our bigger issue we don't have solved yet. I want you two to work together to find out how our ship was compromised. Because it's now looking more like sabotage. We really need to learn what happened and how they did it.
