  1. ok...I'll start with production aspects as opposed to character development... I am ::sigh:: an old school Battlestar Galactica fan..really one of the reasons I fell in love with Sci-Fi (along with Space 1999...if you have to ask..you are too young) However, I love the "feel" and "look"of the show...the action is very John Woo..blurred transitions with erratic and sudden zooms..very gritty... I am glad they are digging a little deeper and leaving the whole wagon train theme in the past...and I hope that Boxey and Muffit(?) (cant remember) stay in the past as well..they always got everyone into trouble anyway.... One thing that is in stark contrast is the level of Estrogen on the set. If you recall the original series there were two females...one brain..one...well.....Im sure she had a brain....(think 7 of 9...) Now...over half the leads are female....(put away your blasters ladies..Im just making an observation) of course, I guess if you are planning on rebuilding the human race..that is a good thing... Starbuck as a female...just not right....Boomer as a female, no problem...Boomer as a Cylon..just not right.... Overall, a good series potentially..lets see where they take it....and I close with the words I sooo longed to hear all those years ago... "There are those who believe... that life here... began out there. Far across the universe. With tribes of humans... who may have been the forefathers of the Egyptians... or the Toltecs... or the Mayans... that they may have been the architects of the Great Pyramids... or the lost civilizations of Lemuria... or Atlantis... Some believe that there may yet be brothers of man... who even now fight to survive... far, far away amongst the stars..."
  2. Tauxik shook his head to clear away the effects of the temporal shift. It was this point in every mission he was most uncomfortable..the disorientation being quite unsettling. The pod appeared to be fine..so with a deep sigh and the beginnings of a plan regarding the hows and whys, he lowered the rear hatch. He made nearly three steps before all hell broke loose. It seemed as if Suliban came from everywhere..each one doing its best to remove his head or any other available extremity. Even with Tauxiks considerable enhancements, several blows connected. And so, even before he could ask what in creation was going on...his sidearm and consciousness left him. ::all fuzzy:: running through a field with...his mate.......children laughing..........then ....screams of agony....................::consciousness returns:: With a start, Tauxik sat up to find himself sitting on an interrogation bench. The side of his head felt as if it would fall off at any time. Partly from the andorians rifle butt but mostly, he believed, due to the @$$ whippin he had obviously taken upon returning. The door opened to reveal only a siloquette to the one eye that was not swollen shut. Tauxik did not need his vision..his enhanced hearing knew the gait of this individual all too well. Besides..he was expecting him. "Commander..." said Tauxik..."you'll forgive me for not standing...since you have me...chained to the FLOOR.." his voice dripping with agitation. The Commander, however, was in no mood for games apparently...."Shut your mouth, Tauxik..or so help me I will killl you where you stand!" He continued after composing himself.."Listen carefully to what I am about to say because your answer will determine not only the length but the quality of life remaining for you.." The situation seemed to have the officer ready to leap out of his skin.." You disobeyed a direct order and took a temporal pod...you made contact with the Terran vessel..and..since I do not see Kexxil anywhere...you have come BACK..alone....Explain your actions...NOW...and this better be good..." Tauxik could see what appeared to be a bit of froth beginning to form in the corner of the Commanders mouth...he had seen him this way only twice before..and both times..the end result was a dead operative..not reassuring by any stretch but he had to say something....the time for planning had come..and gone. Tauxik began..with an insult, of course...." You fool...you send Kexxil on a level 5 mission and you want to blame ME for its failure?? If I had not jumped, he would probably be sitting with the Terran captain..drinking Ale and discussing the military capabilities of the Cabal." The Commander frowned.."what are you talking about?" Tauxik continued..."When I arrived, Kexxil was cooperating with the Terrans..he had promised them the one responsible for the initial attack...me..I didnt understand at first either...then I learned from Kexxil that he had a data file containing all the results from every known sporting event for the next 150 yrs. He planned on placing bets and retiring early after betraying the Cabal and sending me back with the Terrans..." The commanders look seemed to change..ever so slightly.." And how then did you manage to kill Kexxil..you did kill him, did you not? Tauxik had him..and he knew it.." I simply waited for them to feed me..then phased and moved to Kexxils location...we fought...I won...he died....I had arrived too late to kill the crew and ditch the vessel..however, I was able to disable it leaving it in Andorian space. But apparently the Terran CO had some type of relationship with the Andorian in charge..we were held then sent back to Challenger..in the transfer..I overpowered a guard and escaped back to the pod...and to that wonderful reception of yours...." The commander chuckled and took a seat at a small table..." I take it you didnt enjoy it? Perhaps this will be more to your liking.." and he motioned for two guards to enter...."continue the interview...." Tauxik looked to the Commander..surprised by his response..."Dont you belive me??? Im telling the truth....." The Commander smiled that eerie smile of his as he answered.. "Oh I do believe you Tauxik...I just enjoy watching a good beating....and I LOVE watching YOU suffer....." he looked to the brutes..."proceed.." Tauxik had just enough time to tell the Commander where to go before the two goons began beating THAT same destination out of him.... The last thought Tauxik had before passing out yet again.."Great plan, Captain.."
  3. Well...an ancient Chinese proverb says... Man who starts on top rung of ladder..has very long legs.... No..wait...thats not it.... Bahh..I cant remember now...the point is....we all start out not having a clue, then hopefully..we learn some and contribute and stuff and get killed by Blu... Get in the game, sasbas...If you mess up....so what.... Welcome home...
  4. My name is REALLY hard to say...... ;) Tauxik (TOXIC)... ;) But people love me..they do..they really do... ;)
  5. Introspective........ Tauxik sat perched on an outcropping of rock. He had long since given up trying to cover his tracks..it was much too tedious. Instead, he used his superior speed to reach the rocks in half the time. He then backtracked and found his current hiding place. He was sheltered as such from the snow so his position would not be given away. He didn't have to worry about the Challenger crews primitive sensors with the minerals causing massive interference as well as atmospheric ionization. No...his major problem now was how to proceed. If he tried to explain to the crew he was here to help them...that he had actually killed another agent sent on a suicide mission..they would never believe him. If he simply killed any he came in contact with..that would prove ironic...since he had just saved them He could assist the Andorians..covertly..of course..they would NEVER trust him. So here he sat...on a desolate piece of rock..waiting, for once, not knowing what the future held.
  6. or the aptly named... --Sir Not appearing in this Sim-- :P
  7. :P Enjoy it while you can.....Mr Moose....... For your days are numbered.....::rubs hands together evilly:: muahahahah....Muahahahah....MUAHAHAHAH.::.cough..cough..hack.....:: :P
  8. Tauxik strolled into the Cabals main hall...the officer at the front desk motioning for him to go on in. However, Tauxik was not looking forward to this debriefing...he had grown quite fond of his new abilities and did not relish the thought of losing them. As he entered the room, the first thing he noticed was the cold smile on the commanders face. It was a chilling smile..looking dreadfully out of place. Tauxik decided to face the music..." Commander, I have failed..the Earth Vessel was not destroyed...I await your..." "Silence..." the Commanders voice seemed to fill the entire hall. The Suliban eyed Tauxik a moment before proceeding..." What...precisely...makes you believe your mission was a failure?" Tauxik was taken aback momentarily.."Well, Commander...the ship wasnt destroyed...I was unable to prevent the humans from discovering the device..." The Commander shifted slightly..."Tauxik..you are a capable officer...devoted to the Cabal...but...tell me your mission objectives....." Tauxiks eyes narrowed as he thought...." I was to board the vessel and plant the device...." The Commander seemed to be amused by the recognition on Tauxiks face..."yesss.." Tauxik fought to control himself...." what was the point..what was the purpose..." The commanders amusement vanished as he stood... "You do NOT question me... You were to plant the device on the reactor....AND....the other item...." Tauxik swallowed hard as he imagined removing the Commanders eyes...." It was placed as per your instructions..but I do not understand... The Commander returned to his seat...." nor do you need to......really Tauxik....you were a decoy..a distraction..and you succeeded in your task..so....be happy...." the Commanders plaster smile returning..."Everything is as it should be..there are forces at work here you do not understand..." It was Tauxiks turn for a plaster smile..."I see....sir...well then..is there anything else, then?" The Commander looked at his notes.." You used your phase capability?" Tauxiks nodded..."Yes sir..thats how I escaped the vessel." The Commander sat back in his chair..seemingly pleased..."Good then..I will approve that upgrade for general distribution.." Tauxik looked puzzled momentarily..then the light went off in his head" Ah....so not only was I a decoy...I was a test subject..." The Commander pseudo-laughed "so it would seem...but..as I said...you succeeded in your mission and your service to the Cabal is duly noted.....dismissed.." Tauxik didnt bother asking for another enhancement since the Commander already had turned his back and was doing something on the monitor. As he left the Briefing Area, he had imagined killing the Commander in several messy but effective ways...and when he recieved the next enhancement..he just might live out those fantasies. But he couldnt help but wonder..what the point was in leaving the other "item" aboard the Challenger...only time would tell..and there seemed to be plenty of that available. Tauxik thought back to the Officer he had seen...Moore...he seemed to be of importance to future history...and that other one...Gamble...he would pay for that shot. Tauxik grinned an evil grin as he left the Main Hall..."I will see you again, Challenger...only next time....I wont be so...nice...."
