  1. I swear those pointy eared, green bloods. Would it kill you all to use english like the rest of us normal people. :) Anyways, welcome to the forum. Hope you have fun, and just listen to the GM's and you should do fine. The GM's rules are law in their sims, that's the one thing you should really know. Trust me. :D
  2. Bill was sitting in his office, he could feel the vain in his forehead pulsating, an obvious sign that he was not happy. He couldn't really concentrate on the protein re-sequencer report that sat in front, since it appear that the problem would more than likely be handled by Engineering, and that was something that really did not fascinate him, as a matter of fact, it was boring to him. But then again, he was not an Engineer, now was he is. What was really baking Bill's noodle was how a Suliban managed to sneak aboard the ship. Granted that the Enterprise reports had mentioned that the Suliban could mostly sneak onto a ship without anyone noticing, due to the technology that they had, but according to the sensors the Suliban had been in Engineering for several hours just creeping around. "Several Hours!?" he repeated to himself "He could have destroyed the ship easily with all the time he had, but he didn't..." He was simply engrossed with the thought that was a flaw in security, and Bill would accept nothing less than the best from his security force. He knew that after the mission to Acamar III that there had to be work done with the security crew. According to the duty logs, thanks to Marks and M'rrisha, security had been in Engineering a good amount of time while the Suliban was there. What Bill wanted to know was what they were doing that would have caused this, what would become, fatal mistake in there patrol. But as Bill said, this problem would obviously have to be rectified after the mission to Acamar III, and it would be dealt with appropriately. For the time he'd have to obviously concentrate on the problem at hand. While the food re-sequencers would more than likely be taken care of by Engineering and/or Science, he would have to deal with the investigation to see if the Suliban had tampered with them as a form of sabotage. Bill tapped his fingers on his desk, he was in deep though. He would have to decide which of his two assistants he could trust with this work. Bill quietly thought to himself, he was considering that he could use this assignment as a test for one of his assistants, something he had been waiting to do, but he didn't knew w which one could handle it, the problem could wait for the time... "What a hell of a way to start a mission" Bill thought to himself for a moment. "We have our work cut out for us, cause it's all downhill from here."
  3. Just for the record, a pilot is what producers create to show to the network heads there idea for a show, and then they hope that one of the networks will pick it up. Sometimes the networks play the pilot as part of a show's first season, and sometimes they don't, it just varies. The first episode of any show's season is commonly referred to as the 'Season Premiere'. Now, since I'm not one to listen to rumors, I will obstain from the vote. The only thing I know, that will probably be true, from the BB twins is that we see the end of the Temporal Cold War, and Brent Spiners appeareance this season. And also Scott Bakula attempt to get Wayne Brady on the show as well. So beyond all that, it's all rumors unless I hear it from the horses mouth. So, yes, as you see, I stick by my decision. :D
  4. <<OOC: I meant to put this out on Sunday, but it got lost in the depths of my computer and I just found it. So here it is and enjoy.>> "The End at Last and New Beginnings." Lieutenant William Gamble Starfleet Weapon Systems Specialist Head of Weapons Development. Challenger Project. September 5, 2154. Here Bill sat, at his desk, in disbelief. He had just signed off on the final report on the torpedo tube's uprated performance. That was the last of it, the phase cannon, the polarized hull, the torpedo tubes, it was all finally done. Bill couldn't help but look at the PADD that lay before him. There was still work to be done on the weapon and defense systems, but Bill knew that this 'Images' guy should be more than capable of handling the weapons testing on Challenger when it left dry dock. Bill was still amazed at how he was capable of sticking to all the work he had to do over the last months. The piles of paperwork, the countless meetings, the almost infinite memos; he still managed through some how. The other thing that probably helped him over the last few tedious months was the assistance of his secretary, a Ms. Julia Roberts. Ms. Roberts worked so hard for Bill. She would always handle all of his memo's, his calender, his calls, and the organization of the constant paper work that would always bombard Bill's office. Bill owed Ms. Roberts so much, he didn't know how he could ever repay her in full for all the hard labor she did for him; He would try his best though. The other thing that amazed him was that he didn't go mad or kill anyone during Challenger's construction. But, after they transfered to project to Mars, everything ran rather smoothly. The vast majority of the construction workers were very cooperative, even though you'd run across a bad apple every now and then. But, as the saying goes "All's well that ends well." His office look almost barren as he had packed up most of his personal belongings for transfer back to Starfleet Headquarters. He couldn't help but look around and take it all in. His thoughts couldn't waiver from the fact that he was finally done. He couldn't help but smile as he stood in the middle of his office. He walked over to the huge window he had in his office and looked out, staring at the ship he just helped to build. Challenger really was a gem, and he felt nothing but pride and joy, he then turned around and walked back over to his desk. He leaned over his desk, pressing a button on the intercom, the only thing that actually remained in the office, to call his assistant. "Julia, can you come in her please." he said. "Sure thing boss." she replied, and with that she popped into the office. "I was just packing my things up boss. Ya need something?" she said. He grabbed the nearby PADD and handed it to Julia. "That's the last report that needs to be filed with Commander Moore, afterwords...I'd like for you to meet me down on the Mars Colony. I'd like to invite you to dinner, a sign to show my eternal thanks for all the hard work you did for me." he told her. Julia couldn't help but blush, "Why, sir...Thank you. Does eight sound good?", she said. "Sounds great to me." he said with a smile. Julia smiled back and turned to exit his office, but paused for a moment. "Oh. Lieutenant?", she said. "Yes Julia?", Bill replied. "Speaking of Commander Moore...There's a message for you from his office. It was marked as Classified, so I couldn't open it.", she told him. "Classified you say? Alright, bring it here." he said. Julia went back to her desk and retrieved the PADD that was marked classified, placing Bill's final piece of paperwork down. She turned around and re-entered his office, handing him the PADD. "Here you are." she said. "Thanks." he replied. He then entered the proper clearance code to access the file and read it over, while Julia stood by, wondering what it was. "Well? What is it??" she asked after the minute of silence. Bill had a look of surprise on his face. "Well. It my new orders...I'm to report for duty to Commander Moore. I've been assigned the Chief of Security on Challenger." he replied. Julia smiled and bounced up and down. "This is great news! Bill, you aren't you excited???" she asked. "Yes...I am...I'm actually speechless...", he replied. "But...", he added, "...it seems as if our work isn't quite done yet, Julia. I need for you to get in touch with Commander Moore's office. Tell them I need a roster, and that I want to run extra background checks on the senior staff, for precaution. So it would probably be a good idea for you to hang around for just a day or two while I put all of this in order." he said, with a smirk. "You know me boss, always willing to help." she said with smile. "Well, let's get started, we have work ahead of us.", he told Julia, with which she responded with a nod. Bill thought that he could finally go on vacation and relax for a little bit, but he assumed too quickly. He was excited about the prospect of joining Challenger, but he knew that he wasn't out of the woods yet, there was still much to do before the celebrating could start.
  5. We'll see about that, boyo. ::Takes out the list of people who are gonna wind up being 'accidently shot', placing Tachyon at the top::

Personal and Family History: Born in the Tokyo, Japan, Bill was the first son of Gloria and Paul Gamble. Gloria and Paul first met at Harvard University. Gloria was attending the Business school, pursuing her MBA, and Paul was attending the Medical school, pursuing his MD in Neurology. Gloria was the daughter of an extremely successful businessman from New York and a Chinese entrepreneur. Paul was the son of a long line of doctors, businessmen, bureaucrats, and politicans from Connecticut state. Paul and Gloria dated during there time at Harvard and once the two of them completed there studies, they moved to Tokyo. The reason being was that Gloria's father had moved his entire real estate business from New York to Tokyo, and shortly before Gloria had received her MBA, he had passed away. With Gloria being the eldest child, it was her charge to take over her father's business. But, before Gloria's return to Tokyo, Paul proposed to her and they were married a few months afterwords in Japan. During Gloria's pregnancy, she continued to work at her recently acquired business, but it was a profession she was particularly excited about. She actually left the business in the hands of a partner simply because real estate was not her forte. What she really wanted was to open a restaurant, that was her true aspiration, and it finally came true a few years later, when she opened the Blue Lotus Teahouse. The Blue Lotus became one of the most successful teahouses in Tokyo under Gloria's management, it was a common place for the elite and powerful of Japaneses society to visit. Paul, during all of this, was working at Musashi Hospital as a resident at the Department of Neurology. He would later become the head of the department, but shortly afterwords, he was offered a job at Starfleet Medical, which he could not turn down. He acquired an apartment in San Francisco, and Paul would commute back in forward from Tokyo to San Francisco when ever he could, just out of love for his wife and children. Even though Bill was a quarter Chinese, he really didn't take much after his mother in distinguishing features, but looked more like his father, which was something his schoolmates teased him about during his youth. Living in Tokyo, and with his constant travel around the Pacific region, Bill became affluent in Japanese, Chinese, and English; he even managed to learn a little Russian and Spanish. During Bill's youth, around the time he was 6, he started practicing several martial arts; including Karate, Jujitsu, and Kendo. Kendo taught him the swordsmanship of the Katana, or Samurai sword as referred to by Westerners. He continues the practice his Karate and Kendo to this day, but the martial art that he trains with mostly is not even a Japanese one, it's a Chinese one; one of the ancient arts of Kung Fu. When Bill was about 17 years old, shortly after he finished his school studies, he left his home to head for province of Szechwan in China and to the mountain of Emei. He was going to a monastery that a grand uncle of his lived at. Bill's uncle, Grandmaster Fong Doe Din, was master of the art of White Tiger Kung Fu, and after living for several years in the monastery, he had decided to take on his nephew as an apprentice; something that he had only done once before in his entire life. Master Din was an old gentlemen, older than he appeared, Master Din had large bushy white eyebrows that almost covered his eyes, and long, thin, white beard. Master Din was wise beyond his years, and had one of the shortest tempers imaginable. He would always ask for constant vigilance, respect, and obedience, and if any of the two were violated, he would pluck Bill's eye out without question. Bill spent five years at the monastery, where he trained almost daily. The training was rigorous, with constant physical and mental training, but when the five years were over, Bill was a new man. He skills and senses were sharpened, he was faster, stronger, more agile, and his skills with the katana were unrivaled by any other living person. Bill was truly a force to reckoned with, he was probably one of the most deadly people that was walking the Earth, but he would never use any of his skills or abilities without provocation or reason. Shortly after he left the monastery, Bill went back home to Tokyo. When he arrived he found that his father had already taken the job at Starfleet. Bill was a little disappointed to find that his father wasn't there and after seeing his mother, Gloria, he took the trip to San Francisco. Upon arrival he went to Starfleet Headquarters in search of his father, he walked the grounds and premises and even managed to catch a glimpse of the Academy. As he walked around, he couldn't help but think of his dreams to one day go out and explore outer space, his dreams when he was a kid. He finally found his father and the two of them caught up about what happened over the last five years. His father told him about his new job and how excited he was to have this opportunity to work in Starfleet, and Bill felt joy and happiness that his father still hadn't changed. Shortly before Bill planned on going back to Tokyo, he inquired about entering the Academy, and after taking the acceptance exam, he got in. He was estatic and couldn't believe that he actually got in, it was a pleasant surprise for Bill, and for his parents as well. Bill thought about becoming a scientist, but he knew with his skills that he'd be better off becoming a security officer. He attended his four years at the Academy and Boot Camp, and graduated at the top of his class. Shortly after graduation he was assigned aboard the Essex as an Ensign. Career History: Bill served aboard the Essex for two years as a security officer. His duties on the ship were rather simplistic and he didn't, in reality, do much except do patrols and weapon checks. During his second year on the Essex, the ship was taken over by a rogue group of Andorians that planned on using the Essex as a way to spark a war between Earth and Andoria, but Bill and his superior, Lieutenant Grissom Young, single handedly took out the rogue group and rescued the senior staff. The rogue group was later turned over to the Andorian Government, who later praised the Essex crew for bringing the rogues to justice. Bill's actions during the crisis earned him a commendation, several awards, and a promotion to Lieutenant (Junior Grade). Since Bill's tour of duty was over shortly after the attempted takeover, Bill decided to put in for a transfer, but he wasn't quite sure what he wanted to do, so he took a few weeks off to decide what he wanted to do. At the time the NX project was nearing completion and was in search of a weapons specialist to assist Lieutenant Malcolm Reed, which Bill applied for and was later accepted. During this time, Bill became very affluent in weapons designs and engineering. Upon completion of the Enterprise, Bill was transfered to Columbia project and given another promotion to the rank of Lieutenant. Columbia was still in it's preliminary phase, so much was done at first except planning and meetings amongst the command staff. Around 2154, Bill was transfered to head up the Weapon's design on the Challenger project at the request of Admiral Maxwell Forrest. Upon Challenger's completion, Bill was then assigned to the position of Chief of Security on the Challenger, a position he graciously accepted. Duty History: 2144: Applied and Accepted into Starfleet Academy. 2148: Graduated at the top of his class. Assigned aboard the Essex, under the command of Captain Rodger C. Johnson and Commander Brandon A. Andrews, as an Ensign. 2150: Promoted to the rank of Lt (jg) by Captain Rodger C. Johnson, for exemplary actions and duties. Awarded the Silver Star, Silver Cluster, and the Bronze Eagle. Later transfered to the NX project, assistant to Lieutenant Malcolm Reed. 2151: Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant after the completion of Enterprise, assigned to the Columbia project, which was still in it's preliminary stages. 2154: Transfered from the Columbia project to the Challenger project to head up Weapons Installation project. Later transfered to the Challenger, as Chief of Security, under the command of Commodore Fitzgerald "Bull" Moose and Commander Elias Moore. END BIOGRAPHY.
