  1. Thanks very much for answers to all questions Capt. Davies and Col. Harper - treaty info, marine detachment, the chicken. From your answers to all our Marine/Fleet questions - Your Agincourt is reminding me a lot of the "IKS Gorkon" books by Kieth RA DeCandido. His books center around a Klingon crew. They have all of the regular depts - Medical, Engineering, etc. As well as Warrior Units and also an additional force that from what I gather are basically Klingon Marines / ground forces. The Agincourt sounds as if it will have the departments we all know and love, with the addition of the Marine detachment serving within those departments when not needed for "marine stuff". :P
  2. LOL! Ens. Ewwwww ::skitters across bridge:: ::attenae accesses HELM console:: Captain Vermin, warp drive is enabled. Lt. Blaaaaaach ::nods to Captain, attena swaying back and forth:: All departments have reported to OPS. Captain Vermin ::Chitters, skitters to main bridge chair, straightens the cute little cockroach unform:: Engage, full cockroachwarp ahead.
  3. Hi Capt. Davies, Colonel Harper: Just curious. 1.) With the Starfleet Marines, will that extend to a fighter pilot squadron? 2.) Within the Marine battalion, will they also have marine specialists - Medics, Sciences, Engineers, etc? 3.) Will the other ship depts (Medical, Operations) possibly have Marines and Regular Fleet serving together in same dept? 4.) With the signing of the treaty btw Romulans, Starfleet, and Klingons, will we be seeing all three of these races serving together on the Agincourt? Are other races (Bolian, Vulcan, Caitian, Betazed) playable also? 5.) Will the Delta Quadrant be "opened up" for new adventures? Other Galaxies too perhaps? Thanks. - Kansas Jones
  4. MACO: stands for Military Assault Command Operations. It is possible the Macos are Marines. And I remember Marines in a DS9 episode - Sisko's son Jake met one planetside. I am planning on applying for the Agincort. :P
  5. One word - "Gah!!" As a former History peep, I find all of the Historical "stuff" interesting regarding the USS Agincourt, add to the fact that the floating rumor may or may not include starFleet Marines further adds to my interest. Unfortunately, I JUST recently applied for a second advanced sim, before the big announcement - I don't think I could handle 3 sims rite now. Timing is everything. :P
  6. Yes. That Sargeant had quite the witch hunt going on didn't she? And then she goes and takes on Adama! Dang!
  7. Pretty Nifty idea. A treaty signed btw Klingons, Romulans and I assume Starfleet - what a start to the adventure. Wishing all the best to the USS Agincourt.
  8. Now thats what I call the Twilight Zone meets American Political History. If all those facts are on record as true, then it's pretty hard to deny them. Very tripped out, but I'm sure everyone has heard that history will repeat itself.
  9. Starfleet Marines - That would be really interesting! Also, with a marine sim, possibly fighter pilots could be included? During the Dominion War, I think I read that the ship captains were asking for smaller, more maneuverable fighter craft? Now as for a Borg Sim? That would be unique, going around and assimilating everything in site, but seeing as how most borg think as one, that mite cause a problem for simming purposes, right? Oh and the Borg Pakleds academy? That is too funny. And they wanted to assimilate the kitchen utensils? LOL! Actually, a time traveler sim (like ENT Crew man Daniels) would be different. A temporal investigations crew / ship?
  10. Anyone remember the flying toasters that were so popular during the 80's - 90's for PC's? I'm not so much interested in the screen saver; I'm looking for a picture of a flying toaster. Anyone have any sites, links, anything with a flying toaster pic? ( LOL - talk about a random topic )
  11. Ya I saw that too. Don't want to know........ EDIT: found some pretty good pics on Google Image. thnks.
  12. ROFL!!
  13. "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." :P
  14. And what makes me wonder now? I remember reading an article back in the early 90's that Berman was Gene Rodenberry's hand picked successor - Rodenberry worked with him and then stepped down, etc. I now wonder how much of it was true, if at all. I don't want to bash Berman: I look at Next Gen, DS9, most of the movies done with next Gen. - he did some good stuff. Enterprise was a leap in a new direction, I don't think anyone can deny that. Still wondering though.
  15. Thanks all.
  16. Happy B-Day Cougar
  17. Hello and Welcome to STSF. Have Fun.
  18. Just wanted to give a shoutout: DeForest Kelley's (Dr. McCoy) Bio has finally been released. :D  "From Sawdust to Stardust" by Terry Lee Rioux. If your interested check it out. He is the only original cast member who didn't release a (or write it himself) bio ten years ago when they were all doing one. It is a pretty easy read (reading now), and a great insight into a person who totally rocked! Woo Hoo !!! (ummm.....in case y'all can't tell...I'm a little...HAPPY about this :P )
  19. Thanks for the link Admiral. Didn't realize it had already been done.
  20. I did see that, and now I'm curious. :P We shall see.
  21. Dang. I was hoping for the Birds because the Patriots have won the superbowl before. Always next year. :P
  22. Hello and Welcome. Sieben pretty much has it all covered what u should look into.
  23. Oh man......mental image....make it stop! :P :P
  24. Well, a ship class choice would be up to the GM Commanding Officer / GM Executive Officer - the people starting a sim would have first ship choice. Or a vote among players joining the new sim to pick a ship class. :P
  25. I second thanks. Big Thanks to Web Admin Calvert for administration of site. Big shout out to the Admirals/ GM's who give us this gaming experience here. And to the players who keep it "calm" around here and post the topics- I was in one game clan where the flames on the forums were unbeleivable and just not a good gaming experience. I find STSF to be a refreshing, fun experience. :P
