  1. Hi. Welcome. Have Fun.
  2. The WB is re-doing Bugs and pals for a new animated series called "Loonatics" set in 2772, starting this Fall. Bugs, Daffy, Taz, Roadrunner, Wile E. Coyote and a female bunny (name?) are now all tricked out with superhero powers. Whatcha all think? Good Bad or Ugly? Is re working these classic characters for this new series going to work? I am on the fence - the characters look borderline evil. I keep getting this mental image of Elmer Fudd as a Terminator. :P
  3. I have ALWAYS watched Bugs. And I'm always up for a good sci fi animated series. Case in point - Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. Has anyone seen this? ROFL - some of the one liners are great, totally in the show for adults, and the storylines and action are GREAT for adults and kids. Quality show. This Bugs Bunny makeover - as I said, they look evil...and I keep getting that mental image of Elmer Fudd as a Terminator.
  4. Curious question again to make this topic even longer then it is - please don't hurt me. LOL :P If Marine Private Warp Smith is serving with the regular Sciences staff, and during an away mission leaves the team to go off on his/her own exploring without clearance from Sciences - would the CO of Sciences deal with this, CO of Marines / Ship XO Col. Harper, or CO of ship Captain Davies?
  5. So Darrik - are you the resident potato because you are a professional Cadet? :P
  6. Or - USS Angi (An-gee) for short? :P EDIT: lol, I know the ship is pronounced "agin", but everytime I go to say it, I end up wanting to say "Angi". The historical background /name of the ship - good stuff. All of these historical parallels with the USS Agincourt, and the treaties, China comparison, well, its cool.
  7. They'll be sent to their rooms. :o
  8. Word #2.
  9. Word. **Thumbs Up** I have enjoyed ENT since the debut, but I wouldn't mind seeing a fresh start.
  10. ::breaks out the good champagne glasses:: ::raises:: to the GM's. :) :)
  11. :) Actually - I would think the ship could still function with one section lost? The other two could remain separated, or possibly the remaining ship parts mite still be able to re-connect w / out that third section. Bottom line - DO NOT underestimate this ship. <CENG> ::scans, noting the missing section:: OMG! The holodecks are gone! Now I'll never know how that holonovel ends! :)
  12. That description of ships defenses and not being what it seems reminds me of a spider featured on a science/animal show. The spider burrows into the dirt, concealing itself. Potential prey has no idea that it's there in the dirt. Then, the target walks by and "Bam!", spider shoots out of the hole grabbing it with very deadly fangs - no more prey. :)
  13. I respect NASCAR as a sport, and I know it is REALLY popular - just never got into it myself (ZOOM....around...and around...and around). I can say from experience - I used to drive a regular model 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo. That car could move! Those NASCAR drivers that deal with the souped up models? I give 'em credit. It is dangerous. Congrats to Gordon and the 2nd and 3rd placers. Oh look - around...and around...and around........ZOOM! :)
  14. Nascar? Oh look - many, many cars going around the track...again...again...and again...and here they zoom by...again. In one... big..constant circle. Unending. :) :)
  15. I just saw Trekkies 2 on cable. I really don't know what to think so I'm throwing a couple of things at y'all. Are all of the many levels of Trek fandom represented in Trekkies 2 (and even 1)? Or does it seem one-sided? The fans profiled in 2 from the former communist countries was great. People formerly oppressed enjoying the postitive messages of Trek. Cool! There was a nice group in rural England who get together to watch Trek every week. And the Borg cat in 2- Loved it!!!! And- Trek cover bands that dress up, folk singers that do Trek, and other assorted peeps who dress up for conventions. And going back to Trekkies 1 - that dentist with the starship themed office? Off the hook! But - this seems to be the only fan profiles, and everytime Trek makes the news - they too profile these fans also. I was hoping for a profile of someone, well, like myself, I guess - I am a dyed in the wool Trek fan, I love to read the books, watch it all, I collect action figures, toy phasers and trics, posters, plaques, autographs, memorabilia, etc. Obviously I'm into Trek computer / console and RPG gaming also (Duh! lol). I get to the cons when time, travel and money permit. I don't dress up (other then a Trek T-shirt) and I can't tell you whats on Deck 14, Section A-B on the original Enterprise. LOL!! I love Trek, and the varied fandom and profiled fandom really shows how great Trek is with all the diversity. But, I'm still looking for that "other" type profile I mentioned above. Did I miss it? Or am I being way to picky? :) - Kansas
  16. Shasta? Oh wait yes, it is a rather ancient drink remembered by only the most ancient. Now RC Cola? I THINK I've had that.......back during a time warp. To the past. :)
  17. I graduated in 6 Academy sims. I like how the sims are set up in order to get you familier with simming. I sim on my advanced sim, and I still participate when I can in the academies. You can always learn in the academy. :)
  18. Hi all :P How did everyone come up with their on-line name? I'll start. I like westerns - my name comes from a 1948 film called "Riders of the Range". One of the characters was named "Kansas Jones" and it just hit me right there - Thats it! Thats my name! The next night I went into a multiplayer game for the first time and popped in with "Kansas Jones". :P - Kansas
  19. I was loving the "Covert Ops" Reed. I'm a fan of "espionage / covert ops" storylines, Reed has always been a favorite character. Put the two together - I am a happy camper. Affliction - Well done episode all around.
  20. Hi. Welcome. Have Fun.
  21. hello. welcome. have fun.
  22. GromVik and Laura, your cover is blown! :o  I kind of like that Marine uniform design that Dumbass posted. Another question ( "aww jeez......there she goes again): The Prometheus design - can it separate into 3 ships that are capable of defending themselves? Or am I thinking of another ship?
  23. LOL I prefer to use the term COR - "Checking Out of Reality" - and boy, is it a fun place to visit. :P I am female. I sim as a female Caitian on the Hood. I did try playing as a male a once in the mid 90's for a pen and paper "Vampire" group. It was interesting - but I won't sim as a male again. Easier to play as a female because I am a female.
  24. Know what I like about Trek and being part of STSF? I've been in gaming clans where the message board flames were unbeleivable, the command staffs let them go on, and its unbeleivable how words can be turned around. It's easy to get caught up - in one post (yes, I was a command staffer) I lost my temper due to an on going thread. I was "red, bold and loud" and it made me realize "losing temper on a gaming message board just isn't worth it" - I apoligized in a later post. STSF is SO NOT like that, at all. Everyone is really great with the threads, even when it gets "hot" :P . Heck, even when things get hot around here, its still calm! lol! Trek is such a BIG universe to play in, that's what makes its possible for all this banter / discussion on things canon or non canon on these boards. These boards are da bomb for the Trek discussions. :D Luck to all who apply to Agincourt.
