  1. Dr Miranda Porter Assistant Medical Officer A Log – The Art of Deduction Miranda had hooked up her tricorder to the computer system. “Just like rewiring a lighting board,” she had said to Aaron. The truth was she was no engineer and had never done anything like this. After a few initial sparks she managed to make a connection. Quickly she started to upload any medical information on the Revins and any similar species. There wasn’t much but it was a start. Whatever this Revin had it was slowly spreading and one by one shutting down him major organs. Aaron had traced the virus and found that it had been present for over six weeks. It was obviously not something that Revin had caught while he was on their ship. A sudden thought hit Miranda, contamination. She and Aaron had been exposed to the alien and if it was an airborne virus everyone in sickbay let alone the ship could be infected including Merri and her newborn son. First things first, set up a quarantine and check out Aaron and herself. Her tricorder started to blink; looking over it she quickly read the data. It was not looking good for their guest. She read on, data popped up on three species with similar physiology. Two of those species were present on board the Arc. Maybe by looking at them as well might shed some light on this mystery.
  2. Dr Desdemona Levy A Log – Time to Say Goodbye To whom it may concern I have checked over Taellel and other than a case of extreme exhaustion he is ready for transport. The interrogation that I witnessed was not by the book so to speak, but then neither was the patient. He withstood great pain before he was even ready to talk. I have tended to his physical injuries (broken nose and leg, fractured ribs and minor cuts and bruises) but they will take time to heal. Also he could use some sleep but depending on your staff that may or may not be possible. Dr Desdemona Levy Chief Medical Officer, USS Agincourt Mona set down the padd and gave Taellel a hypospray. A sedative. Taellel was in a state where he was just able to comply with orders, but no threat to others. “A waking sleep” Mona thought. She always found it interesting how one person could cause such a fuss. So unassuming and yet Kreolls wanted to punch him, Harper was letting him suffer and the Major… well who quiet knew. Major Vaos was an interesting character to say the least. He had contradicted to captain but more than that something boiled under his calm exterior. It might be interesting to learn more about him. She knew one thing for certain; next time they met she would ask him what his definition of “fleeters” was. Coming back to the present and out of her thought she scanned Taellel once more. The looking towards the security officer she smiled. “He’s all yours” As she watched them escort the Romulan out she thought to herself “Goodbye Mr. Taellel, it shall be interesting to see what comes of you visit.”
  3. Well I am in sunny (but cold, it's 60 here) southern California. I know precip and I have talked about LA a handful of times. I recently moved to San Diego tho. So yeah thats me. ::starts to hum "I love LA"::
  4. Well happy birthday Cappy. Hope ya had a great day ::hands Moose a cupcake::
  5. Dr Desdemona Levy Chief Medical Officer A Log – Play Nice in Sickbay Mona entered the small room she had felt the pain come from. Her eyes first landed on Col Harper. Then she turned her attention to Taellel and saw the green blood. She gave Jamie a sharp look as she clenched her fists. It took everything in her not to immediately order him out of her sickbay. “This is not right,” she thought “how is Harper allowing this?” Although she did not know Taellel or what kind of Romulan he was, while he was in sickbay she would care for him. Mona took a deep breath to try and calm herself. “Is this truly what we are? A federation of brutality.” She watched the Romulan and the science officer glare at each other. Jamie was filled with rage and her patient; well he did not wear his emotions so openly. She knew he was hiding something, although it didn’t take a telepath to sense that, but there was more to it than that. She hated to push into people’s minds, but this time she might have to. In the mean time she needed to calm Jamie down so he didn’t injure her patient more. She took another calming breath. “There is a time and place” she thought “and this is neither.”
  6. So when it's filled it won't be open anymore? Sorry Davies just had to throw that in. :D
  7. Oh happy birthday Joe. Are we having a party for you at redstar? You provide the location and we all can bring the party(i.e. fighters and miniskirts). Well happy b-day anyways ::hands Joe a cupcake::
  8. Joint Log - House Call Lt Jamie Kroells and Dr Desdemona Levy Travis sighed, as he sat on his couch, rather immobilized as his brace was recharging. At the same moment in time Mona stood outside his door. She let out a sigh and clutched her med kit a littler tighter. After their confrontation in sickbay she was not looking forward to seeing him again. She took a moment and then rang the chime on the door. Jamie groaned, and for a second the image Kairi flashed before him. He hoping it was her. "Enter." The door made a soft swoosh sound as Mona stepped through them. She forced a smile as she saw Jamie "I don't normally do house calls but this time I made an exception” Jamie nearly groaned, as she walked in. "What am I, your special patient?" Mona crossed the room and knelt down next to him and opened her med kit. "I just thought you might be wanting one of these." She said as she held up a hypospray. Pulling out her tricorder she began to scan his leg, casually she asked him "Why do you have so much hostility towards me?" It was a hard question to answer and Jamie sighed. "It's not just you... I've been having a difficult time readjusting. I'm not...comfortable like this. With people." Mona closed her tricorder "What they don't have crew interaction aboard Romulan Vessels. Cuz I find that hard to believe.” With a bit of hesitation Jamie continued "Things were not as...casual as they are here. I always had to be on my guard. I am still on my guard, doc." She stopped what she was doing and looked at him "Then let your guard down for a bit and see what happens." With shrug she began to adjust his brace slightly. "Does this hurt at all?" she asked as she made another small adjustment "No.." He silently trailed off, not quite knowing what to say. As he watched her work Jamie lost himself in his own thoughts. Mona finished her adjustments and began to pack up her med kit. "Is there something wrong Mr. Kroells?" "Its just.... that..." Again he trailed off, struggling to find the right words. Mona watched him quietly as she still sat on the ground next to him "I- I’m sorry. I'm not very good at saying it...but I am” A smile crossed her face as she stood up. Leaning over him she gave him a hypo for any pain. "It’s alright and I am sorry as well. In the end I think we both have some issues to work out” He looked up at her. "I would suppose so. I'll be back in, say 12 hours?" "If you behave yourself it looks like you will be back on your feet sooner than that. Hobble over to sickbay in lets say 10hrs and I can take that brace off." "Alright, I'll do that...Doctor." There was an awkward silence. After a moment Mona nodded and with a smile she quietly left the room.
  9. Dr Miranda Porter Assistant Medical Officer A Log – The Kid and I Miranda sat in sickbay looking around. Other than herself, Merri and Sam’s daughter Rosie there was no one there. She laughed to herself “I’m finally in charge and the only people here are a little girl and a sleeping pregnant women.” As the ship begun to shake harder she steadied herself and gave a warm smile to the small girl. She tried not to show any fear so as not to upset Rosie. Another “this could be it moment”, the ship seemed to be getting into them a lot. It’s not that bad unless you happen to be clueless as to what was going on. Miranda looked at Rosie and then Merri and thought of her nieces and nephews. Sadness washed over her. “Sometimes I miss those monkeys so much” she thought. There were great times, teaching Finn how to fence or Mona how to play the piano. Josh who was always trying to scare her and Eli who laughed at every joke no matter how bad. They were all so amazing in their own way. She shook her head and thought back to the present. The crew would get out of this, whatever it was. Miranda put he arm gently around Rosie and smiled at her. “I once heard a song about scary times. When I am afraid I sing it. Would you like to hear it?” The little girl nodded. In a clear confident voice Miranda began to sing. “I whistle a happy tune and every single time the happiness in the tune convinces me that I’m not afraid…” As she continued to sing Miranda felt herself relax a bit. She only hoped it was doing the same for Rosie as well.
  10. Name: Desdemona (Mona) Levy Race: Human / Betazoid Gender: Female Hair: Brown Eyes: Black Height: 5'2 Weight: 110 Age: 32 POB: Betazed Marital Status: Single =Service Info= Rank: Lieutenant, Senor Grade Current Assignment: Chief Medical Officer Current Ship: U.S.S Agincourt =Awards= Service Stripes: 2 Bronze Good Conduct Medal: 1 Harper WOTW:2 =Family= Father: Garrett Levy (Architect) Mother Katharine Levy (Botanist) Brothers: Ferdinand, Benedick, Antonio =Background= Personal History Although born on Betazed Desdemona was only partially telepathic and spent part of her childhood on Earth. Being the lone girl among 4 children she was exposed to sports and rough games at an early age. She excelled in everything she tried but soon found that she was more concerned with the injured players on the team. After being sidelined by a serious injury she moved to Betazed to live with her grandmother Minerva. During this period Minerva took it upon herself not only to help Desdemona mentally but also to diversify her education. There she studied languages, psychology and architecture and botony. During this period she spent much of her time in and out of hospitals trying to recover memories of her past. As a result she developed many telepathic abilities she never thought possible. At 18 she decided she wanted to join Starfleet as a doctor and was accepted a year later. There she studied medicine and a handful of other subjects. She graduated four years later at the top of her class and was assigned to shore duty on various planets before being stationed to the medical supply ship the U.S.S Quiroz. She stayed there for five years till she was reassigned to the Agincourt. Hobbies/Interests Desdemona enjoys many kinds of sports. But true to her heritage she also very much enjoys art, music and philosophy. In her spare time she is somewhat of an amateur botanist. She is fluent in 6 languages and also enjoys painting. = Medical = Distinguishing Marks: A small scar along the base of her neck Psi Rating: 10, Full Telepath/Empath due to medical enhancement Addt’l Comments: While trying to recover from a serious injury as a child doctors on Betazed implanted a small chip into her paracortex to enhance her chances of recover. During the initial tests the chip overloaded and proceeded to incorporate itself in her brain. Fearing risk of doing any more damage the doctors decided not to try and remove the chip. As a side affect she went from minimal empathic abilities to full telepath status. Psychological Profile Mona as most people call her sustained a heavy injury as a child that left her not only physically but also emotionally scared. Because of this trauma a rift between her and her brother Benedick occurred. She has not forgiven him for his involvement and as a result the two rarely speak. Although she lost most of her memory after the accident she still retained her caring and motherly attitude towards others. She views the crew she serves with as her family and is willing to help them in anyway possible. - Dr. Melpomene, Starfleet Psychologist
  11. Did a bit of an update on the my bio.
  12. Hobbies, umm lets see. I read so much that I have taken to shopping for books in used bookstore cuz its cheaper (its like cocaine a hard habit to break) and then their is my other love, the theatre. Any chance I get I go to shows, community, professional, elementry schools (although I make fun of those) I'll take it. I just got back from a production of Mamma Mia. Good show, weak cast. I also perform in quite a bit both in singing and acting. I can't stand sports (only baseball) but I love to dance so I think its a good trade off. But yeah thats me a big drama geek.
  13. Yoou never harrass me anymore Kes infact you never did. I am so hurt ::turns her back and stomps away::
  14. Oh gosh, I love halloween. It is the only time of the year where I get to dress up and no one cares. I usually make costumes for myself. I was a pirate one year, Lucy (from the peanuts) and my sister was snoopy...um last year I was a lush (ugly house coat and lots of drinks) and this year I have to choices. I made an awesome yet somehow ugly pink 50's prom queen dress or Velma from scooby doo. I haven't decided yet. But I have convinced my bos to be captain Kirk, I even made him a costume, so that should be fun. Nothing like parties and candy to give me a mad sugar rush that will last for days. ::smiles to herself thinking of candy corn::
  15. Dr Desdemona Levy Chief Medical Officer a Log by Levy - Mona at the bat Mona's shift was over and she now stood in front of the holodeck. "Levy program beta one" "Enter when ready" the computer chimed back. As Mona adjusted the bag on her shoulder, she blew a bubble with her gum and entered the door. As she entered she closed her eyes and let the smell of fresh cut grass stir memories of times long gone. Feeling the sun on her face she gave an inward smile for although it wasn't real it was still a great feeling. Moving over towards a long bench she sat down and quickly began to change her shoes. Tossing her lab coat aside she reached into the bag and pulled out a helmet. She ran her fingers over the small blue letters on the back that said Dezzy and with a slight adjusting of hair put it on. Searching in her bag again she found the last thing she needed. After a quick stretch she walked out to the dirt area and adjusted her stance. Nodding to the holodeck man she signaled she was ready. In one fluid movement he released the ball. As Mona watched the small white object fly at her time seemed to slow. She thought back over the last few days. Injuries, suffering and the loss of life. The reason she had become a doctor was to help people to save lives but many times it felt like an uphill battle. And now they were going off romulan hunting. "Can't we resolve our differences without bloodshed or violence. I thought we were more evolved than that." The thought started to fade away and with a swing of her arms she heard the crack of the ball making contact. She watched as it flew through the air towards right field. It disappeared for a moment in the sun and then became visible again as it hit the blue stadium seats. The man watched the ball as well then turned back to her "nice shot" he said. With a shrug Mona said "its all mathematics, now keep em coming pitcher" He nodded but she was no longer paying attention. Her mind was elsewhere, the feel of her burnt uniform on her back, the next mission, Captain Davies and President Swaggert. Crack! The ball went flying towards center field. Mona smiled and popped the gum in her mouth. "yes" she thought "This is exactly what I needed."
  16. I took my roomate to see it (she's not a scifi person) and she like it. She said it was better than she expected and she enjoyed it more than she thought. A girl at my work said the same thing. As for me....loved it. Yes there were things that I didn't care for (yes A9 like killing wash wtf) but I think for the most part it was really good.
  17. Dr Desdemona Levy Chief Medical Officer A Log by Levy – A Thread of Life Thirty seconds was all it had taken. One moment she was watching the ceremony the next she was on the ground. With the explosion came a sudden burst that not only destroyed part of the building but also sent of flood of emotion that collapsed most of her mental walls. Pain fear and confusion all came pouring into her mind. Mona froze for a moment as she regained her composure. In another instant her Starfleet training kicked in. Staying low to avoid the black cloud of smoke flooding into the hall she made her way to the front. As she moved she heard screams from every direction. To her right she could barely make out the shape of two figures. Moving towards them she realized it was Davies and Prell. They seemed alright but just as confused as she was. A short distance beyond them she saw a figure lying on the floor. Moving quickly she got to him just in time to push him out of the way of some debris. Mona glances at the man’s face and noticed it was President Swaggert. She checked for a pulse, none in the wrist. She moved her hand up to him neck and checked again, this time she found it although faint he was alive. Before she had time to think part of the stage collapsed and flames scattered in every direction. Mona threw her body over Swaggert to protect him. She stifled a cry as the back of her uniform caught fire. Waiting only a moment longer she rolled onto her back to put out the flames. She shifted her body once again to get close to the president. As she did she noticed his eyes flutter. In as calm a voice she could muster and trying to be heard over the screams she started to speak “Mr. President, I am Dr Levy. You need to lie still. I will do what I can but more help will be hear shortly.” She looked around trying to discern anything in the black haze and hoped that she was speaking the truth.
  18. Modern, Cool Nerd 65 % Nerd, 73% Geek, 39% Dork You scored better than half in Nerd and Geek, earning you the title of: Modern, Cool Nerd. Nerds didn't use to be cool, but in the 90's that all changed. It used to be that, if you were a computer expert, you had to wear plaid or a pocket protector or suspenders or something that announced to the world that you couldn't quite fit in. Not anymore. Now, the intelligent and geeky have eked out for themselves a modicum of respect at the very least, and "geek is chic." The Modern, Cool Nerd is intelligent, knowledgable and always the person to call in a crisis (needing computer advice/an arcane bit of trivia knowledge). They are the one you want as your lifeline in Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (or the one up there, winning the million bucks)!
  19. Seiben I love that anime girl. Every time I look at you posts I laugh a bit.
  20. It was fun having so many people there. Can't wait till next year. -Levy
  21. Well since I have a star trek tattoo, I guess anyone wo see it knows. along the same lines, the fact that I have a tattoo that is somewhat noticable means I don't really hide it. I don't shout it from the rooftops, but if someone asks me I don't deny it.
  22. ::has a blank look on her face because she doesn't know anything about Nascar::
  23. Brent Spiner was in the show Sunday in the Park with George. I believe it was before he did ST. Anyway if you can find a tape of it you can watch him. Its kinda hard to find tho. I have seen him in that, but never in person.
  24. I liked thundercats. But right now all I can think of is the theme song to Jem. Someone help me how does the theme to thundercats go? (and all you smarty pants out there don't bag on Jem I liked that show)
  25. Dr Desdemona Levy Chief Medical Officer A Log by Levy - Brotherly Love The short time Mona had spent with the captain had been very enlightening. He had been very nice and accepting, she on the other hand had not. Her conversation with her brother had put her in a bad move and she had accidentally snapped at Davies. It was not the sort of behavior she should have shown and as usual she had spoken without thinking. She shook her head and decided she would do something about it. Her mind slowly started to drift back to the past and the many years earlier the rift with Benedick had started. She was 14 and standing with her brothers Be and Nan. She was scared out of her mind because she knew she was not ready for this race. She was a good rider for her age, but this was far to advance for her. Not only that but the dirt bike she had was a little too big for her. Her brother Be told her not to sweat it and she would handle the bike fine. She smiles a bit but only half-heartedly. “And don’t worry” Be said, “I am in the race with you and I will make sure you are alright” Nan shot his brother a mean look. Mona watched the two and could sense Nan was mad and that Be had somewhat of ulterior motives. She didn’t know what it meant, but she trusted her brothers. When the race started Be was right at her side. It was true the course was very hard, but she handled it as best she could. All of a sudden Benedick sped out in front of her and took the lead. Slowly Mona started to fall behind. She was getting tired and the bike had too much power. “How could they let her do this?” she thought. She tried to stay focused as her eyes clouded with tears, what would the boys do and say to her. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted her brother Be coming up on her right. She smiled inwardly. He smiled back at her and all of a sudden she sensed a flash of something from him. It was superiority, he knew he was better at this than her and was going to prove it to her. “Oh god, what is he gonna do” she thought. He pulled his bike closer to her and cornered her next to a wall. “What is he doing” her mind screamed. As he got closer she realized what it was. He put hit foot out and kicked her ankle making the bike unsteady. Her eyes got wide as he did it again. Then as they say third time is the charm, he kicked her and the bike again and she lost control. They had been going up a slope and before she knew it she was flying thru the air barely holding onto the bike. Next thing she new everything went black. Mona had lost her memory after the accident. When she started to remember slowly that was one of the memories that came to her. She had asked Benedick if it was true and all he said was “Yeah. But hey I won the race and you are starting to remember things so I guess it all worked out fine” Mona’s mouth dropped and she stormed out of the room. She had left the details out when she had had her conversation with the captain about it. It was a hard thing for her to think about and it got her emotional at times. One of the few things that did get under her skin. She brushed it out of her mind and decided to focus on something happier the Agincourt ball.
