  1. Chief Communications Officer’s Personal Log August 18th 2155 BEGIN LOG: When I was at the academy one of my professors told me that the job of a communications officer aboard a ship is to sit at his post, and translate things. When they weren’t doing that they should simply shut up. Now at the time I was training as a security officer so I just laughed at this…but having served in this position for almost four months I have to wonder whether he is actually right. When our new XO allowed me to go on the away team she told me that I didn’t have much off ship experience other than when the crew has been given general leave and she’s was right. Now that I think of it I haven’t gone on a lot of away missions since becoming the communications chief. Of course that does not mean that I don’t to go on away missions, there just never seems to be the opportunity. My father has always told me to take initiative and I think that asking to be on the team was doing just that and I am going to continue to do that from now on. I want to show Captain Moore and Commander Cole that I can be a valuable part of any away mission. I have spent 90 percent of my career as a security officer so I have the training, but now I also need to show that I can use that training combined with my newfound talent for translating. Maybe just maybe this will allow me to get the opportunity to go on more missions. I suppose the reason why I never asked was because I thought that it was out of place for me to do so. I am only a Lt jg and the last thing I want to do is alienate my superiors. But I don’t want to remain a Lt jg for the rest of my career nor do I want to look like your everyday officer on the block. On the other hand I don’t want to come off as someone who wants to do everything or play superman sort of speak. There has to be a happy medium. Something I can do or say that will make me stand out without coming off as condescending or rude at the same time. I plan on speaking to the Captain and voicing my eagerness to go on more missions but I have to choose my words carefully otherwise I will find myself in the kitchen. END LOG
  2. UPDATE: Elliot was promoted to Lt on stardate 0504.22
  3. Complications & Decisions Part II Elliot walked into his quarters to grab his gear for the away mission. His meeting with the Captain hadn’t gone exactly as he had planned. Despite the Captain’s opinion that his dreams had been caused by their previous mission Elliot didn’t want to take any chances. He grabbed the padd on which he had written down his dreams in great detail. He wanted to show it to the team. As he picked up the padd he gazed out the window, clenched his left hand and said, “I won’t let it happen again John, I promise you that.” With that he slung his pack around his shoulder and walked out of his quarters towards a turbolift. He walked slowly and took the longest route he could. The team wasn’t leaving for 10 minutes and for some reason Elliot felt the need to look around. He hadn’t really had the time to explore the Agincourt fully since the launch and Elliot wanted to make sure that he took time to do so just in case he didn’t come back from the mission alive or if his quarters were in shambles when he returned. He just hoped that there would be a ship to return to. Elliot entered the TL, took a deep breath and said, “Transporter Room 1”
  4. Complications & Decisions Part I Elliot walked over to his replicator “Computer Earl Grey Tea Hot” He watched as the tea materialized and then took it off the replicator. He walked over to his desk and slumped into his chair with a heavy sigh. It had been a very long and frustrating day and there was someone he needed to talk to. He opened his computer “Computer open a secure channel to Lt Jg Lauren Kennedy of the USS Strikefire” After a few seconds the Strikefire’s logo appeared on the screen. It was quickly replaced by the face of beautiful young brunette. He smiled at Lauren “Hi sweetie” Lauren smiled at him also looking tired “Hi, long day for you too?” Elliot chuckled “Now I know the reason why I married you, you read me better than anyone.” “It’s a woman’s touch” She said “So what is going on?” “Things have gotten worse here,” he said with a grimace,” We have embarked on yet another dangerous mission and since we have started on it well…I have had dreams about the ship getting blown up and everyone dying…just like the ones I had right before…well you know, you were there that day” “Have you spoken to someone,” Lauren said looking concerned. “I talked with our CMO and I was going to go to the Captain soon. This whole situation has been causing complications. I haven’t gotten a good night sleep in 4 days. The dreams have stopped but I can’t stop thinking about them.” “Maybe I should talk to Captain Davies,” she said “I am not sure that will help. I will have to get up the courage to talk with him” “If this is like the incident at the academy you should tell him right away. You shouldn’t have to deal with this.” She told him with a small grimace. “You’re right, as usual,” Elliot replied, “Don’t let this upset you, it’ll work out. Besides, I have big plans for us during our next shore leave. How does the real Paris sound? “Wonderful,” said Lauren, “I can’t wait.” She glanced at the chronometer on her computer. “Well I have to get back on duty. Give me a call anytime after 1900 and let me know how everything went.” “I will…I love you,” Elliot said. “And I love you.” Lauren responded as she pressed a button and ended the comm. Elliot turned off his computer, got up from his chair and walked to his door. “I have put this off for far to long,” he said. With that he exited his quarters to go and see the Captain.
  5. “The Big Day” A Log by Ensign Bell-Krasner Elliot paced back and forth in the mess hall of the Agincourt. He was nervous, more nervous than he had ever been in his life. The “Big Day” had finally arrived, and he was not sure that he was ready for it. Suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned around and there was Ron, with a big smile on his face. “Calm down,” Ron said, “You don’t want to have to go to sickbay on your wedding day.” Elliot chuckled, “I know, that will have to wait till the honeymoon.” The two laughed as Elliot continued “It’s just that…well; my bachelor days are going to be over and…” “You’re having second thoughts,” Ron said. “Yeah, second and thirds,” Elliot said. His eyes lit up as Lauren entered the room accompanied by her father. As the band began to play “Here comes the bride,” Elliot and Ron walked to the side of the alter. Ron took his place to the left of Elliot and Lauren’s father took his place to the right, as the couple to be met in the middle and gazed into each other’s eyes. Captain Davies stood between them as he began the marriage ceremony. Finally he asked the couple to read their vows. Elliot went first. “Lauren, ever since we met I knew we were perfect for each other, and every day we have been together has been incredible. I hope that our journey together will be long and prosperous.” Elliot took the ring from Ron and placed it on Lauren’s finger “May this ring be the symbol of our eternal love.” Lauren smiled at him and then recited her vows, “Elliot, I never thought I would find anyone who was right for me. It was always so discomforting to think that I might never get married. But now that discomfort has been replaced by overwhelming joy and I look forward to the days we have ahead of us.” She placed the ring on his middle finger and the Captain continued the ceremony “By the power vested in me by the United Federation of Planets, I now pronounce you husband and wife.” He turned to Elliot, “You may kiss the bride” Elliot had been waiting so long to hear those words. The two embraced and then in marital tradition grabbed Lauren hand and the two ran out of the room as they were being showered with rice. The “Big Day” had finally ended, but Elliot & Lauren’s life together had just begun.
  6. Begin Log: If I’ve been told once, I have been told 1000 times. Never ever question the Captain’s decisions no matter who you are, what rank you hold or how close you are with his daughter. I have spent my life trying to follow that rule however this mission we are on gives me cause to question it and perhaps to question the Captain. It has only been a few weeks since we have launched and we have already gotten into a conflict and now we have a potential threat from the Romulan’s who apparently care more about their own interests then the Treaty they signed with us. I am afraid that we will soon have massive casualties and I cannot stand idly by while the Captain continues to put the ship at risk. One Starfleet vessel no matter how well armed is no match against 2 or 3 Romulan Warbirds. I know that being serving on a Starfleet ship and commanding one for that matter means taking serious risks. One cannot go their whole career trying to avoid a battle or a ship wide problem or something of that nature. It comes with the territory. However in this case there is no reason why we have to taking this risk alone. We should be calling for assistance, reinforcements something. The Captain has put me in charge of the bridge 6 times already and although I am happy that he has that much trust in me I am dismayed that during 2 of those times we were attacked. My mother thinks he is crazy. Confounding all of this are my frequent headaches and my nightmares. I don’t know what they mean or why they are so intense but I am hoping a trip to sickbay will help otherwise I will be in no position to man my post let alone the bridge. I have a duty as a Starfleet officer and as a member of this crew to voice my objections to the continuance of this mission without the aid of any other Starfleet ship or ally. I do not want to have to take matters into my own hands and call for help myself but it may very well come to that and if that ends my Starfleet career so be it. Just so long as the crew isn’t put into needless danger End Log

From an early age Elliot had an interest in becoming a Starfleet officer. His father Robert was a Krasner was a fine Starfleet officer who was killed in the Dominion war when Elliot was just a year old. His mother did all she could to raise him alone and Elliot spent the first 14 years of his life aboard the USS Blackwell. Being around Starfleet officers gave him the unique opportunity to observe first hand what it meant to be one and by age seven he was learning about Bridge operations. His upbringing gave him skills that continue to follow him to this day and after many years of hard work he was accepted to the academy in 2391. While at the academy Elliot kept mostly to himself. He focused on his studies and unlike many cadets did not socialize very much. However, that changed in 2393 when he met Ron Jackson. Ron was ambitious just like Elliot and the two became fast friends. Because of their hard work they were both given the chance to spend the first semester of their senior year aboard the USS Vermont. While on a scouting mission the ship was hit by a level 7 ion storm. The Captain, Tactical Officer & Operations officers were all knocked unconscious and the Executive Officer, Commander Mandel assigned Elliot to Ops and Ron to Tactical. Together they managed to create a torpedo blast using the deflector dish which allowed the ship to break free of the storm. Cmdr Mandel did not forget their heroism and when they graduated later that year he made sure they were assigned to the Vermont. Elliot’s first year as assistant operations officer was uneventful for the most part. But then Elliot met the woman of his dreams, Ensign Lauren Kennedy was everything Elliot could want in a woman. She was smart, funny, beautiful and hard working. They quickly began lovers and started dating. After almost a year onboard Elliot longed for more adventure. So at the end of 2396 he transferred to the USS Firestorm one of the Federations older exploration vessels as an assistant operations officer. Lauren went with him and became an assistant science officer. Ron remained on the Vermont but continued to keep in contact with Elliot. Life on the Firestorm was much different then what Elliot expected it to be. Instead of exploring, the Strikefire spent most of its time meeting with known alien species. However, his relationship with Lauren just got stronger and he made plans to ask for her hand in marriage. While on Shore Leave Elliot learned of a brand new ship that would be launching called the Agincourt. Elliot requested a transfer and lobbying hard on his own behalf Elliot he was accepted onto the Agincourt as their Chief Operations Officer. Just two months after coming onboard Elliot asked Lauren to marry her. She accepted and on a touching ceremony aboard the Agincourt they were married.
  9. UPDATE: Elliot was promoted to Lt Jg
  10. NAME: Elliot Benjamin Bell-Krasner TERRAN AGE: 24 HEIGHT: 5"7 WEIGHT: 180 EYES: Hazel HAIR: Brown SPECIES: Human PLACE OF BIRTH: North American Continent, Earth DATE OF BIRTH: August 30 2130 PARENTS: Dr. Jay Krasner 2106- CMO U.S.S Armagedon Lt. Commander Sharon Bell 2109 – CSCI U.S.S Armagedon SIBLINGS: None WIFE: Commander Julie Goldman 21131- XO, U.S.S Resilant EDUCATION: 2148-2152 Starfleet Academy LANGUAGES: Vulcan SERVICE RECORD: 2152-2153 Ensign, Assistant Security Officer Starbase 11 2153-2154 Ensign, Assistant Security Officer U.S.S Resilant 2154-Current Ensign. Assistant Security Officer U.S.S Challenger BACKGROUND: Life before the Academy Elliot Was Born on August 30, 2130 in Boston. Since the age of 5 Elliot was pressured by both his father and mother to go to the new Starfleet Academy. This made for a very difficult childhood. Instead of playing with his friends Elliot spent most his days studying to be in command of a warp 5 vessel. His father took him on many of his missions and even allowed Elliot to assist him in his work. However, all of this helped Elliot to develop a very unique talent for getting the job done. Whenever his father asked him to do a task Elliot would do it not just quickly but effectively as well. Many of Dr. Krasner’s own colleagues were amazed at how quickly Elliot could write a paper or read a book. Elliot’s mother often said she would see Elliot reading 4 or 5 books at once. The advice his father often gave was “words are cheap, actions are what really matter.” Elliot spent his entire childhood trying to follow that and decided that the best way for him to do so was to someday become chief of security aboard a starship. During his teen years Elliot trained extremely hard for the academy which often caused him to be anti social. He would often reject offers from his friends to go out to dinner or have some fun on the holodeck. However, all of that changed when Elliot met his first love Lauren Koenig. Lauren was just like Elliot. A hard worker with ambitions even higher than Elliot’s. Elliot and Lauren started dating and for the first time in his life Elliot felt like he had someone who understood his personality. Lauren helped Elliot realize that there was more to life then work and because of her Elliot made more friends and developed quite a sense of humor which remains to this day. Finally, after his hard work Elliot was accepted to the academy in 2148 At The Academy During his first year at the Academy Elliot saved two cadets during a training simulation by using his phase pistol to take out two opponents who were about to shoot at his companions. Elliot received high praise both from his professors and the commandant of the academy who would later say that Elliot was “A very brave young man who has quite a work ethic.” 3 months later he saved a Vulcan ambassador who was on a tour of the academy from a plasma explosion. Elliot encountered some hardships during his second year at the academy. During a training simulation in early 2149 Elliot knocked out weapons, shields and warp drive by blowing out 17 plasma conduits while trying to fix an engineering malfunction. He was extremely upset at himself. Then Elliot suffered his worst blow. His girlfriend Lauren, the one person who had brought him true happiness during his teen years was killed in a shuttle accident. Elliot was completely devastated and even thought about quitting the academy. He did not leave his dorm room for almost two weeks which caused all of his professors and even the commandant to worry about him. To help him cope with his loss Elliot spent many intense sessions with the academies counselor Meghan Jenzo. Jenzo helped Elliot to find himself again and after nearly two months Elliot returned to his academy training. All of his fellow cadets were very supportive but although loosing Lauren had affected Elliot emotionally it did not affect his performance. During his third year at the academy while doing another holodeck training simulation he managed to disable a bomb and then get to his post at tactical to disable several enemy vessels. Elliot graduated the academy at the top of his class in 2152 and gave the commencement address. Elliot told his peers that they should not allow work to consume them because it would distract them from what was truly important. Then in a very emotional part of the speech Elliot made a reference to Lauren, and told his classmates that if it hadn’t have been for her he would have never become the person that he was. Starfleet. After Elliot graduated the academy he was placed on Starbase 11. He found it boring at best and wanted to be on a starship and continue his dream of one day becoming a starship captain. He felt severely under challenged and began to think that his father would be disappointed in him if he didn’t do something to continue with his dream. But Elliot made the most of his year on the starbase keeping it safe for all its visitors. His only real accomplishment while on the starbase was helping the chief of security develop a new system which would allow the starbase to detect cloaked vessels from 500 meters out. In 2153 he requested and was granted a post on the U.S.S Resilant as an assistant security officer. In 2154 Elliot once again met a woman who would change his life. While walking to his office one day Elliot accidentally bumped into Lt. Julie Goldman and knocked her down along with a bottle of an 20th century wine from the turn of the new millennium. Elliot managed to grab the bottle just as it was about to smash to the floor and loosing his balance fell on top of Lt. Goldman. It seemed strange but just a week later Elliot and Julie were sharing the wine in her quarters. They began dating and in a personal log written just weeks after they had met Elliot said “This woman, she re minds me so much of Lauren and eases my pain.” After a year on the Resilant, Elliot decided that he wanted to join one of the new deep space missions so he transferred to the U.S.S Challenger where he currently serves as one of is assistant security officers. Personality Profile Elliot is known to be very friendly and a hard worker. He can do any task that he is assigned quickly and effectively and his heroism, valor and courage has never been doubted by anyone. Elliot has only two noticeable weaknesses which do not seem to affect his performance. One weakness is that Elliot can be “too” helpful. He has often been seen trying to assist crewmembers in every department rather than just sticking to his own. Although in most cases this is an admirable trait it can get annoying. His other weakness is his incessant fear of death. It can sometimes that can affect him especially when he is in battle. Though he can maintain his focus and do what he is told his fears will sometimes cause a sudden lapse in concentration. One notable time was in 2153 when one of Elliot’s consoles exploded right in front of him. Elliot was not physically injured but he did not come out of his quarters for two days. Again, this has never really affected his performance on the Resilant and Elliot is taking steps to try and conquer his fear. Despite his fear of death Elliot does seem to be at his best while in battle. He is able to get the attention of the officers in his charge or those who he works under and come up with plans to remedy a situation on a spot. During non battle situations Elliot goes about his work like any other officer and does enjoy a good time playing Baseball.
  11. BEGIN LOG: Sometimes people do things on this ship, which make me wonder if I actually belong. My father always told me to do what I thought was right, especially in a situation such as this one. No doubt he has gone through situations where he was forced to make the unpopular decision or even one which was against orders. In fact one of those decisions ended up saving the life of Captain Rachel Garrett. Now I find myself in one of those situations. I have come up with several plans of how to get us closer to getting our ship back and yet everytime I try something it is rejected. However, as a doctor it is my job to ensure the health and welfare of every single member of the crew. Since Dr. Mele's plan was unsuccessful I believe it is my duty to come up with something and bring it to my superiors. However, so far, when I try to do so, they simply tell me to go away or to "wait." Dr. Farron even tried to have me thrown in a makeshift brig because I was talking to saar which was a violation or her direct orders. How in the hell can I wait when the lives of our crew hang in the balance. Every day more and more people become discontent at our situation. I have noticed that Admiral Atragon himself has also become somewhat discontent. Which is why I find it so hard to understand why I am being scoled. We are stranded on a planet with no conceiable way to get our ship back and people are quoting regulations to me, and telling to me to stop talking to our ONLY messenger to the outside World. Saar may be evil however, he may be our only way out, if we can convince him or "trick" him into getting us what we want. I know I am duty bound to follow orders, but I will not stand idly by while our crew and perhaps our Admiral go insane because of the situation at hand. As many a starfleet officer has said "Let the regulations be dammed!" I may be forced to try something drastic and if I am punished for it, so be it. Just as long as it gets us back on our ship! END LOG
  12. Its not that I am unhappy, I am just curious if that ever does happen
  13. Well, I was looking for a response from one of the GM's, they write the rules after all, but if that is the case, then maybe I will try it
  14. A few weeks ago I was doing a sim in SFOL and one of our major crewmembers "died." However, he was back the very next sim, and when I asked him how it would be possible, he said he simply changed his character, meaning that he as a person was still in the sim, but that he was playing as a new character. I was just wondering if this sort of think is allowed in STSF. Can you kill off your character, or be killed and come back the next sim as a new character, or do you have to go through the academy all over again. Thank you very much, Doctor Bell-Krasner AMO, U.S.S Manticore
  15. I had an important topic about being thrown out of the lounge removed, what is the policy on that?
