  1. Dionysius couldn't move. He started at the table...not sure what to do. He had never lost a patient before...not even during simulations at the academy. He looked at his hands, and saw in his mind blood covering them, and was horrified at himself. He wanted to cry. He wanted to yell. He wanted to die in the mans place. He fell to his kees, despair corsing through him like lightning as he mourned the man he never knew. Death was no stranger to Dionysius...but it had never been while he was treating the person. He wanted to run and hide...to pray to whatever gods would listen to just end it all...but he didn't. There was work to be done. The Venom was in both bodies. Dionysius was hell bent to find out who it was that made the Venom, and why. He was hell bent at redeeming the loss of another life at his hands.
  2. midshipman's log, stardate 0605.04 I have more or less adapted to my life on the Sky Harbor Aegis. While I have interacted purely with the medical staff, I feel a sort of...acceptance...from them. Doctor Jones has asked us all to put in our speciality, and though I would like to help as a Counselor, Victor Images seems more adept for the job. For this reason, I will admit to my abilities as a crime scene invesitgator, and offer my services as coroner. The irony is not unseen, choosing between helping the living and examining the dead. My peers always did tell me I was weird. The Aegis itself is a fascnating specimen, and life is never boring on board. I plan on exploring the ship and hope to interact with other departments. I must contact Muon Quark if I am accepted as coroner. Note to self...find out what recreational facilites are available on board. (folks, There are some addresses that I cannot write to. I get mail from them, but I cannot send anything to them. Here's the list of those people. [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] sorry people-on-that-list, but I can't send anything to you!)
  3. I succeeded in arriving aboard the Aegis, finally, just in time to find that there was a dead body on board. And that I was expected to examine it. My stomach clenched as Dr. Images cheerfully drew back the bag, but I ordered myself not to get sick. The body took very little time for the prelim scan, but then there was a lot of guess work. Dr. Images, Dr. Pavillon, and I managed to put together some infermation. The person who did it was a professional. The poison did not kill the victim, the knife wound did. And I'm already considering putting in a transfer. As I'm recording this, I am just now unpacking my things. They had me chuck my baggage into Dr. Jones' office and sent me straight to work. Not that I minded. I just found it...different. All in all, I think the Aegis willl be an...interesting place to work. I have observed that there are several new arrivals coming aboard. Sickbay will be busy.
  4. Dionysius, or Dio as people called him for some reason, was not amused. or content or even Civil. He stared at the Old Father with utter contempt. "What the hell do you want?" Dio demanded, "I'm late for a rendezvous." A twinkle appeared in the Old Father's one eye. "Yes, I know. Aboard a mortal station. Taking orders from Mortals." "First off, I AM mortal, thanks to your favorite daughter. And second, one of them is El Aurian. Not quite as mortal as people think." Woden, Zeus, and Santa Clause all rolled into Old Father looked sternly at me. "You know you can return to us at any time, my son." Dio laughed. "Not worth it, Father, I know the price you ask from me, and I will not pay it. Not even to return to my...er...loving...family." The power from Old Father started to permeate, and Dionysius, once god, began to tremble. "I could destroy you with a thought!" He bellowed as lightning started to flash in the black void which they occupied. "But will you?" Asked Dio, just as quiet as Old Father was loud. Old Father sighed, and the storm lifted. "Of course not." He said. "But, my son..." "I am not your son anymore." Said Dionysius defiantly. "You let Artemis to this to me. And even after she died you would not take back the requirements she had put for my return." Two ravens flew from the nothingness and landed on Old Father's shoulders, and began speaking into his ears. He seemed put off, perterbed, and Dionysius distinctly heard him say "Arese, why the Cardassians?" Before looking at Dio. "I must leave." He said. "One of your siblings is causing trouble. I believe it will affect your mortal friends." Dio laughed. "Friends? Just because I have respect for these...mortals doesn't mean I want their friendship. Or, more specifically, trust their friendship. Too many wanted power from me. How they knew they could get it from me I don't know, I'm not ominscient any more, I don't know which of my brothers leaked the secret of My Name." Old Father turned to leave. He turned his head while he walked. "All you have to do is say your true name, Dionysius, and you can return to us." "Never." Called Dio. Not in anger, not in defiance, but as simple fact. "The cost is too high, Father. Take away the Requirements, and I will join again." The black void disapeared, and Dionysius found himself in the shuttle that he had got for himself to fly after the last time he relied on someone else. Quickly checking the Chrono, he cursed. His Father had kept him late. Again!
  5. (sorry I missed the first sim, folks. But I was in a small car collision. Tiny Insignificant. Two broken ribs and a shoulder that clicks when rotated. Anyway, I'll be at the next sim. I promise!) Stardate 0406.13 I stood seething in the cockpit of the tiny shuttle. I knew I shouldn't have used a private shipping company to get to the Aegis. "What do you mean it's broken?" I demanded of the captain, a strapping but suprisingly polite Andorian. "The engines kicked out." He said. "WE'll be moving again as soon as our Engineer gets us up and running. The engineer happens to be a Paklid. I sighed and sent a message to the Aegis informing them of when I would arrive, with my deepest apologies.
  6. Midshipman's log stardate 0406.06 I was recently contacted from Starfleet Headquarters (after waiting three months from my graduation) That I had been accepted to the Sky Harbor Aegis. I am currently enrout to the station and should arrive in less than a week. I have ye to meet my department head, a Dr. Sheepy Jones. From his file I can see that he is part Betazoid. This should be interesting. I've never had a boss who could read minds. Well, almost never. I am looking forward to this assignment. The Aegis crew is beginning to be renown all over the universe, and there are some rumors I either want to prove or disprove...personal note, it was recommended that I make contact with a resident known as Drankum, or something to that affect. I was told he could be very useful. I look forward to meeting the crew of the Aegis, and will perform to the best of my abilities. end log.
