  1. Well while I was sitting here waiting for Enterprise to come on, I realized that we hadn't done a poll about this yet. So who is your favorite character from Enterprise?
  2. Whoops, someone hit the wrong subject for Randy there. ;) I thought Neelix was pretty good, but Phlox.. I don't know, but he just isn't really for my tastes. I mean he has the most ridiculous smile this side of the Neutral Zone (oh wait, that wasn't there yet), and cuts his toe nails with a buzzer thing and feeds them to his animals. Sorry, I just don't get him.
  3. One word Garnoopy. Well, its not really a word, but none the less here it is - GM :o ::an Ensign who thinks he might not should have said that::
  4. Yeah, true. The one I am talking about is in the Naked Time episode (or was it Naked Now?), where they encountered the same disese thing the Enterprise under Kirk had found. Wesley took over engineering, then came to the rescue by reversing the tractor beam. :-)
  5. Impeachment? For A9? Isn't that just like in the category of impossible? ??? :;):
  6. Well actually, none of those ever really annoyed me. Doctor Phlox is kinda borderline though so I'll vote for him. I'll tell you who really annoyed me was that lady cheif engineer they had on the Enterprise-D before La Forge took over. She was almost like a cross between a Vulcan, Human, and Robot. I don't guess she was in to many episodes, but anyway, she really got on my nerves. ;)
  7. LOL van roy! What about Science officers who use Linux? Unfortunetly I would fall under that category ;). Of course, I'm also a die hard Microsoft fan, so go figure that one out. (That is a Microsoft Tablet PC in my avatar, with the Reaent logo on it.) Sorry for the way off-topic post here...
  8. Well I'm way behind the time like Lightning. So here is a belated Very Happy Birthday Wish to Lo'Ami!
  9. Same thing here. I just make up some low ETA number and sit there trying to keep the ship straight the rest of the sim.
  10. Hey there, It this true? This isn't supposed to be a job? ATRAGON!!!! What can I say...
  11. At the risk of sounding like I'm a complete idiot - I've noticed several people have added titles above their avatar in their posts. I looked through the control panel area and could not find a setting for this anywhere. Am I just missing it?
  12. Webmaster, if you could change mine to "General Tech Geek" that would describe me pretty well. :D
  13. ::stares at his always handy helm console... pulls up the speed formulas... gets confused... decides ETA time to figuring this out is equal to pi... meaning, we will know once we find the end of it:: ::D:
  14. Just my two cents on this topic - I agree that it would be good to have at least one academy sim in the time between the Wednesday one and the Sunday one. Maybe friday since it is right in the middle. Of course, this is only once enough new GM support could be worked in. You guys do a great job with everthing that is outhere already, the last thing I (or I think most anyone) would want is for this to become something that is more like a second job than a fun recreational activity.
  15. Uggh, I was tired. Can't believe I didn't see that in big post it note style on the top of the board. ::hits head:: Thanks guys.
  16. lol, pretty good there doc ::ahem:: I mean Webmaster. I had fun some of the McCoy type lines this summer. I was a web-programming intern at a local university this summer, and when something would stop working, or wasn't working in the first place my boss (His name was Jim) would of course ask me to look at it. Then, everytime he would say - "What's wrong with it?" Why he kept doing this I don't know, but everytime he said that I would look at him and calmly say - "It's dead Jim." >
  17. I am Data sir. ::nods head forward slightly:: ::jumps out of character::Since when was I anything like Dac or Atragon? And since when where they anything alike? ??? Whatever the case, I always have seen myself as a Data type person. (or do I mean android?) :D For those wondering, and for the sake of being as dataish as possible I decided to examine the range of characters that this quiz can come up with. Therefore I selected all "Strongly Agree" choices. The results of that test came out with Constable Odo. No on the other end of the scale is "Strongly Disagree", selecting all of these returned Locust of Borg. This will all be recorded in my official report to Starfleet.
  18. ::Calls sickbay for Dac:: Medical Emergency, he he, Deck, hee hee, 1... ::dies laughing::
  19. Welcome Narendra84! Great to have you here. Like Dac said, I would check out the Help/How-to sim page of this web-site (http://www.stsf.net/howto.php) for the basics of how to sim. I particurally like the Wednesday night academy sim, as long as no one spills anything on Dac's shoes. :;): Another word of advice would be to have fun! Follow the general rules and guidelines, but don't stress yourself out doing it. The main goal of simming is to have fun and be creative! Look forward to seeing you in the holodeck soon!
  20. For me it would have to be Data. Always ready to try and learn more about humanity, with a bit of accidental humor thrown in.
  21. Same thing here Loami. I just saw it while browsing startrek.com one time, decided to find out what STSF was all about. It's been just about 3 1/2 months for me.
  22. I have been unable to get connected to the holodeck chat room for the past couple of days. It loads the page with the java applet just fine, but it never connects to the room. Anyone else have this problem?
  23. Computer, Begin Recording… I’ve continued to try and retrieve information from the recovered Romulan Data disks. Early today the computer finally successfully cracked the Romulan encryption code, and started translating the information. Lt. Sivuk had left me here to go to his bridge station so I contacted him to share the information the computer recovered. It almost appears like the whole reason the sensor marker was there was to monitor the storms very much like the one that trapped the away team. A very disturbing discovery has come out of an analysis of the sensor marker’s data. Technically, this planet is incapable of producing these types of storms naturally! Since this discovery we have been running full sensor scans everywhere on the planet, searching for any artificial object that may have caused these. So far these scans have told us nothing. I’ve also been comparing our data on the most recent storms with the data the sensor marker has recovered over the years. This data is strikingly similar, except for a few details our sensors didn’t register. After completing this work in the science lab, I made my way to the bridge to report my findings and help with the scanning of the surface. As I arrived on the bridge I found that the away team had finally lifted off and was making their way back to the Reaent. Sivuk and Ensign Garnoopy had come up with the theory that whatever “it” is that is causing these storms, it must be hidden under or in some material that our sensors cannot penetrate. Specifically tritoriam, the material I have been studying, was brought up. Seeing that we are dealing with the Romulans, a cloaking device was also brought up as a possibility, but our conclusion was that the power output required would be too great, our sensors would detect something. Shortly after my arrival Sivuk and Garnoopy left for the shuttle bay to help the away team through decontamination. This left Captain Michaels, the new security officer, Ensign Kansas Kenickie, and myself on the bridge. Since I hadn’t yet met the Ensign Kenickie, I walked over and introduced myself. She is to say the least, interesting. However, from the little bit I talked to her, she should make a good and tough addition to the security department. At the moment I am remaining on the bridge to continue scans of the surface. There are still storms brewing down there, hopefully I will be able to modify the sensors to find out more about these unusually, unusual storms. What I’m afraid of though is that down there might not be the only place with storms brewing Computer, End Recording.
  24. I've got to agree with Fred here. The only time I recall laughing more at ST than that Q/Worf line was Scotty talking to the 20th century earth computer mouse on ST IV The Voyage Home. And those two were close.
  25. Well I won't comment on this Male/Female thing, but here is my vote anyway. Riker was good, but just like Picard will never pass Kirk, Riker will never pass Spock in my opinion. :D And like Fred said, Chakotay was always on a vision quest, a little to much for my tastes.
