  1. Other Highlights: I get the full length version of Travis' "I lost my emotions" speech The ship that blew up was reported entering orbit of a colony and... Captain Fred starts the first annual Reaent cake fight (After the sim of course) In other news: I just can't manage to have a little peace and quiet to drink my rootbeer. First time I get thrown across the room as the Reaent rocks from the explosion of the now blown up ship, Second time Travis... of all things... throws a cigarette in it! ::glares at Travis:: ::o:
  2. :o Lol, This must have been what it was like before the Vulcans took on logic or something.
  3. yeah, rhymes with Toad, that's what I figured. Hmm... True I guess, never really thought about it. Another curious fact, a "goad" is a tool used to help herd oxen. ::shrugs:: :o
  4. I went back to the "Carbon Creek" episode and it is in there (so I recorded it, sue me). For those who don't remember T'Pol tells the story of how her Great-Grandmother crash landed on earth in a survey ship in the 1950s. Anyway, the crew all take jobs, one of them as a plumber. One night they are all talking and talks about the fact that he had to fix one lady's sink a couple times a week. He makes the comment - "It wouldn't be so bad if her son didn't insist on calling me... Moe." The question then comes up "Why does he do that?" Answer - "There is a television character known as a stooge, the child belives I look like him" The other vulcan guy across the room replies back "There is a resemblence." :) So there you have it. Feel free to ignore it, its pretty much useless information anyway. :o
  5. Well, I think my name is fairly easy to pronounce. Well, not my actual SN in the chat rooms (spg, no vowels), but my character's name (as well as my real life name). But non-the-less, here goes my terrible dictionary skills - "Spencer Goad" - name (of a geek) Spen-ser GO-d (no, not god, GO as in Green light GO and then the "d" sound) Something else that I find interesting (but you probably won't even care about) is what each person's name means. Of course with all these made up names, it doesn't apply so much. But for all inquiring minds to benefit from, my name means - "Despenser of the Goods". (Note to GMs: This does not mean you should assign me to the Cargo Bay from now on). ::o:
  6. Actually, they turned 16 last year. :) And before you say something, no I don't pay that close of attention to them. I just happened to see their new game "Sweet 16 - Licensed to Drive" in the store the other day while trying to find "Super Monkey Ball" for my little brother. ::watches all eyes in the room go like this - :o :) ::
  7. Acting Pick-a-little lady, just what I've always wanted! :( Now I'm going to have to decide if I want to be that or Cheif Janitor next sim. Seriously though, great tip Moose. Keep them coming!
  8. At least I can pronounce it... Now take Kroells on the other hand, how on earth do you pronounce that?
  9. lol, wasn't there a reference to that in the Enterprise episode "Carbon Creek"? So you are Moe, Garnoopy is Curly, that leaves Larry for Travis, and I really don't see that happening. :(
  10. Alright Fred, another question - What would you do if a transporter mishap suddenly found you young (20s) again? ::(: What a minute... this guy is my commanding officer! How come I'm trying to insult him here? ???
  11. You know Dac, I think you die laughing more times than you blow up ships in an Academy, quite a feat as many can attest to. :( Back on topic - Great site. LOL! :)
  12. Hmm.. this is a hard decision. I thought about turning the Manticore into a "real" tug boat, but then again what good is a tug boat with a cloaking device. Wait, did I say cloaking? I mean cloning.. yeah we can clone... food, yeah that's it, food. :o
  13. Alright this is a couple days late but... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO... YOU PEOPLE!!!
  14. Hey there, I think I can safely say that this sim idea has no chance on God's green Earth of becoming reality. Of course Fred, I'm not so sure it is Earth he cares about. Seems to me it has more to do with the "space" category. ::o:
  15. At least one person didn't object to me being the head. Gracias Huff. :P Nice to know some one has some sort of confidence in me. Hey, I didn't object to you being the head guy around here... I just highly disliked, disagreed, and generally hated the idea. But like I said, no objections. ::o:
  16. Hmm... site won't work for me. By the name I'm guessing this is some kind of klingon honor ritual Garnoopy? :o
  17. On topic - I agree Vanroy. I think a Marquis sim would be fun to participate in. The problem would come in with those "quick and dirty" solutions, the potential for the sim to get out of hand without as much protocal here would be pretty high. Still, if handled properly it could be a very fun sim, the Marquis are not a faction we really think about to often.
  18. Well, since you already have your HyperDrive built in, you are much easier to assimilate than most. Of course, it also helps that you lack the power of "GM" and therefore cannot use actions to prevent your assimilation. And finally, I just way over analyzed your question. :o
  19. Hey, AENG is important... without them we wouldn't have anything to use to blowup the ships at the Academy. :o Talking about Hickville, here we aren't exactly in hickville... but are in an interesting situtation. We are kinda behind a ridge and out of town a ways, so we can't get Cable or Antenna TV reception, no cell phones work here, but we can get DSL. Figure that combination out. ???
  20. Yeah, I know Dac. Just giving you a hard time. ::o: I think you handled that sim very well considering what happened.
  21. Not my best writing ever here, but non-the-less my log for this week: Spencer was silent as he made his way down the corridor towards Sickbay. He was on his way there to assist Lt(jg). Kroells in interviewing the Cairo’s Assistant Chief Engineer in hopes of gaining some knowledge as to what caused the explosion on the Cairo. Even though Lt(jg). Garnoopy was walking right beside him, Spencer hardly noticed. His mind was thinking over the Cairo explosion and what could have caused it. He quickly snapped back into it as he entered Sickbay, stopping short as he saw all the injured around on the biobeds. Ever since the Reaent was rocked by the Cairo’s explosion, his thoughts had been on one thing… finding out what caused that explosion. Why? Just for the simple reason of performing his duties. Glancing around he noticed Ensign Kenickie laying unconscious on one of the beds, as well as all the unfamiliar faces in tattered Starfleet uniforms. He slowly walked forwards a little ways before spotting Travis and Dr. Matthews just outside the Doctor’s office. Quickly slipped through the crowded sickbay and up beside them. As he waited for them to begin the interview Spencer suddenly had a wave of emotions come over him. Just a few minutes ago he was on the bridge looking over data on what the Cairo was holding in its cargo bays, discussing which one could have cause such an explosion. All the data had made him completely forget the survivors in sickbay who would be able to provide much more information than scans ever could. Seeing all the injured brought him back to the ground level to what really matters… people. Suddenly he felt an even heavier desire to find out what happened, not just for the sake of performing his duty, but to provide some answers so this type of accident can be prevented from happening again… saving the lives of people. ~Ensign Goad
  22. Hey now wait just a minute! I was a AENG in this sim, and yet I get no mention on the roster. What are you trying to pull here Dac? Ok, so I came in 5 minutes late and got added to the roster later, probably the reason why. But still... can't an AENG get any respect around here? :P ::o:
  23. ::sighs:: I'd love to be there too Jorlis, but Friday nights I'm usually either falling into bed early or out late. Maybe one of these nights I can stop in for a while. Hope you guys have fun! :o
  24. Ahh yes, the world of finicky forum code. I know it well. At least webmaster doesn't have you making your text move in QuickBasic (old programming language) Travis, then you'd really be having a time. ::o:
  25. True... maybe I should spread out a bit. You have to remember though that my Reaent character focused on tactical and command the first two years at the academy, then switched to science the next two years. Granted, he has never taken over Tactical, but he has the ability. My Manticore character is just plain Science, unless of course you count his ability to read minds. :o And Webmaster - Thanks for all the time you do spend on this site and message boards, as well as other ship boards (like the Republic).
