  1. Saek stared in disbelief...the coordinates were confirmed..the clearing would be an ideal place for extraction..except for the fact that there was nothing here. He turned to watch the others emerge from the foliage..each acquiring the look of bewilderment he now wore. It just did na make sense. They had beaten the body of water...although it had been touch and go for awhile. The water had soaked into his pack and it now felt as if it were made of rock. His trio had "captured" what they believed to be tr'Psichore..only to find out it was Angie. And then, comparing all their ISDs to see the extraction point mere meters away. This mission had been more than he had expected. He had gotten to know a crewmate better. He had hoped to get to know Pexil better as well but he just was na talkative. And that was probably what the Khre 'Riov had in mind..to frm relationships within the crew...but...when Saek learned the finish line was that close...something internal kicked in. He had always had this...drive ...to be better...probably thanks to his father...inside of him. In the moment he learned the finish was at hand..all comradere vanished and Saek was bent in winning. NDak's wrath be damned..Saek wanted to WIN. He HAD to win...to prove to NDak, to prove to the Khre Riov, to prove to the rest of the crew....to prove to his father that he was na weak; that he was na only capable but worthy of greatness. And so it would seem that he was the first to the extraction point...but what good was that if there WAS NA extraction point? Unless..they were missing some piece of the puzzle...but how could they find out? His crewmates all looked to him as if to say "now what?" The sad fact was...he had na idea.
  2. Just for fun..shall we attempt to predict the future for this summers box office? Will anyone withstand the media hype for SpiderMan 2? Will the wall crawlers sequel be the summer hit..or will another leave it without any of its eight legs to stand on? Make your predictions, here...
  3. Well kids....I have seen the Village..and have yet to see AVP..but, if the reviews can be believed...AVP is not all that...sad day, eh As for the Village...it was awesome..I loved it. Score another run for M. Night shama-lama-ding-dong.
  4. Two full moons lit the evening sky....shining down on the Rihan trio....Beneath the white glow, Koga slowly paddled the small raft down the river. The silence was broken by a comment from the massive Rihan..."Nice night, eh?" Almost startled, Vosh answered...his trance broken..."Ie, all things considered, this could be fun..if some maniac was na trying to yy'a us, au know." Vosh looked over at Pexil, lying between the two Rihans, on the small raft. Vosh motioned at Pexil "At least he seems to be enjoying himself." Koga nodded "Ie, I guess he is..but it is tiring work treking all over the elements creation for kilometer after kilometer, na to mention watching aus back for some Rihan goon out to get au." Vosh understood since his calf muscles burned like never before..."Indeed...but there are worse perils out tonight than psichore to worry about..." The big Rihan grunted his agreement..."Ie, for now...all we have to worry about is staying afloat and possibly rapids. But do na fear, Ive sailed many rivers like this in my youth, with Destorie, in fact. Vosh laughed out loud, despite himself at the thought of NDak..rollin down the river "Ma 'Lyn...I have trouble imagining him as a youth...was he always so ...intense?" Koga raised a brow "If au mean "uptight" then , ie, he's been that way as long as I have known him..but alot of us "upper-crusts" are that way.." Vosh shot Koga a glance "what, crusty?" When Koga did na respond, he continued.."Ie, I guess thats what my father had in mind for me....I had to disappoint him." Koga, na sure how to respond...said nothing. Vosh continued after awhile "however..there are worse things than Ma 'Lyn on this planet....I encountered some..amoebic blob things back in the jungle..dreadful looking creatures.. they are the reason I went into the mountains and found au guys..." Koga furrowed his brow..na knowing exactly what an amoebic blob was "How most unfortunate...but Destorie is a tough, dedicated Rihan. I would na be surprised if he reached the extraction point before us. Vosh rolled his eyes.."I hope for my sake, he does....au can imagine what I will endure if I best him in a competition... Its rather ironic..I joined the Galae for comradere...and I have found mostly treachory and deception..present company excluded, of course.. Vosh sighed " But I believe this exercise will change some of that.." Koga smirked and worked on tying string to a fishing rod while Vosh spoke. "Hmm, hann'yyo...I appreciate that.." Koga pondered the Khre Riovs reasons behind this training mission. "I hope so...after that incident with the Llo'hann and the Squids, I guess can na blame her. I was na there personally, but I heard about the events in my fathers intel files." Vosh nodded " Ie, as Daise d'heno..I had access to some interesting information...NDak certainly put himself in harms way...he thought I believed him to be a traitor , but au know...actually...I believed him to be a victim of circumstance. I ,too, am glad I was na around for that mess...." Koga seemed to relax for the first time since Vosh had met him..."Ie, that makes two of us. It was hard enough to administer the lashes on the poor bloke." Vosh shuddered at the memory of t'Vixens beating..."it was painful to watch.." He opened his pack..and took stock...with a few strips left...he offered a piece to Koga "Jerky?" Koga accepted the smoked meat "Hann'yyo. Ie, that it was." As Koga finished speaking, a massive tug at his fishing line caught his attention. He fought with the unseen adversary for a few minutes as Vosh looked on. Finally, with io final heave, Koga's patience was rewarded with a 10 kilogram fish. "Nice catch..."said Vosh as he looked around the small raft" but....do we eat it raw?" He waited to see if Koga would catch his sarcasm.. ."We could build a fire." Koga looked confused...he wondered if Vosh had been in the sun too long "On the raft??" Vosh could contain his laughter na longer... "Really Koga..au should lighten up" A strong breeze picked up as the raft neared the mouth of the river..strengthening the currents. Letting the current do the work, Koga guided the raft towards open water..."Ie, perhaps I should...its just this psichore has me on edge." Vosh's laughter subsided.."it has all of us on edge..." Koga sighed "I guess I should be used to it, after my years in the Ke'veshrek ring, but none of my opponents ever wanted to Really yy'a me..intentionally." Vosh nodded.."true enough...." Then a strange thought occured to Vosh "Koga, call me Saek......." Koga nodded back "okay, so thats aus name, eh?" Vosh tilted his head as if pondering something "ie...it occured to me, I joined the Galae to get away from my father...and everyio calls me by my family name, instead of my own... which, if au think about it...defeats the purpose, does it na? "Hmm, I suppose it does "Koga replied..na knowing how anyio could na stay in touch with there family. The water was strangly calm..if this was a lake..it was an enormous io..with na land in sight in front of them Vosh noticed Kogas expression..." its a long story....I will share it when we get back to the Talon..and we can have some Ale...its io of those stories.." "Ahh, I see. I look forward to it. Perhaps we will make it back in io piece..that way I can hear it in the messhall..instead of the Maenek's office" grinned Koga. "See, there au go....that's a Rihan that will live longer..." Vosh chuckled at Kogas untapped humor... Koga smirked "Well, I guess it does help at times" "Ie, that it does...." Vosh fell silent again...paddling along with Koga in the hopes of speeding up their arrival at wherever it was they were heading.... 5. Oh..c'mon.... First of all, the topic...by images admission, was sooo ready for lampooning. Second, global issues are one thing...health concerns are another...it all comes down to when and where to have fun..and this is supposed to be fun... :D
  6. Many of au know my thoughts on DS9 and on B5...could never really get into either of them. I have been a fan of Sci fi as long as I can remember..there were several shows I loved at one point or another..the first being Space 1999 w/ Martin Landow..ie, I am aging myself since most of au have na idea who Martin LAndow is...think the old semi-good guy from X files, the movie. Buck Rogers, the first couple seasons when Wilma was a blonde....(oh Wilma) Battlestar Galactica...Starbuck was the man. TOS re-runs then finally, TNG..even in the first 3 seasons, I loved it. Quantum Leap was really good, especially with the story twists. X-files was my fav..hated to see it go..wanted them to go on 4 ever... BUT... Stargate..with its storyarcs and awesome writing...it is kinda like how I ran the unofficial sims..making fun of itself while having an awesome time...(Sam humming the theme song to the show while in the elevator is classic)SG1 is...how do the kids say...the shiz-nit.. :P :D
  7. cmon, Van Roy...thats where klink, Mustard and O'Neal would hang out :D
  8. ¿?

Chicken Wing of Wang Chung... Jolan tru. Au really should pay na mind to most of the stuff posted here. As a matter of fact, here doesnt really exist...see, its all in aus imagination..its really two hundred years in the future...na io knows who struck first, us or them..but we know it was us that darkened the skies... Wait..Im sorry, I got confused by Tovans math...where was I ...oh yeah... Jolan tru, Night Wing...Welcome to our humble home..we hope au enjoy aus stay...be sure to tell Moose "Nice Rack" when au see him...he loves that... Bedah, Dark Wing...until we meet again...
  9. I agree ..na General sections please.... but how about a Colonel section, eh..now that would be cool... :D
  10. See, Moosie..this is actually a GOOD thing... cause in regards to a few cadets, where au guys would send them might be...errrr Uncomfortably warm....and I aint talkin Florida... :D :P
  11. 11..ie I said 11 Marguaritas........ ::nothing good can come of this::
  12. While I agree SW I and II have both been stinkers, I seem to recall mention of the clone wars back in the late seventies early eighties...maybe in a book series or something...anywho...the CLone plot has been around awhile..its a shame in 20 years Lucas couldnt come up with something better than Manakin Skywalker, and Jar Jar Binks...
  13. Galaxy Quest was an awesome movie..not just an awesome spoof...Sigourneys uniform getting torn was reminiscent of another TOS character. .hmm..who...was..that...guy....I.......cantseem...torecall.....his name :) Oh...a peronal fav'......ANIMANIACS.....when Yakko got to "to boldly go where no one has gone before"...and they all run to the bathroom next to Scottys transporter room, then come out and go Ahhhh  .....HA....I was ROLLIN'
  14. here..lizard, lizard, lizard....
  15. ^ posted after Stsfus... "has a live journal" post ...which when au think about it...is kinda spooky ::mental image of a book with a talking face on the front..like luwaxana's wedding trunk for Troi...shivers::
  16. Stupid, stupid, stupid... Vosh thought while he ran for the entrance to the blatently obvious trap he had entered. "Ugh, protect me elements..." he said to noone in particular as he lept through the doors. As he turned he saw the blobs were making quite good time for things without legs. He kicked at the rock he had wedged in the door to keep from becoming trapped inside..at least he had thought ahead in some manners. The rock broke free and the doors began to slide closed. Not bothering with any farewells, Vosh grabbed his small raft and waded out into the river. He needed to put as much distance between himself and this facility as possible. The hunter could be kilometers or mere meters away. Vosh lept on the raft and rolled over on his back..panting from the impromptu marathon. "Ma' Lyn would na have let me live that down...trapped by germs..." he almost chuckled with relief. He patted his backpack that rested across his chest. "At least I did na lose au, eh" But all sense of relaxation vanished when the jungle around him fell silent. He sat up, looking around him..looking through the foliage more than at it. He remembered the hunts his father had taken him on as a youth. THey were hot and unbearably boring at the time...but..those trips were paying off now in a big way..IF..he could keep from making any further dumb mistakes. Vosh peered into the dense undergrowth but could see nothing. He was almost ready to lie back down when something white caught the corner of his eye. He turned to see na io, but two of the white blobs pursuing his raft..in the water. "Stealthy little targs, are au na..." said Vosh as he tried to gauge the amoebas speed. The creatures were gaining on him, and fast...how would he defeat..a germ..a blob of protoplasm. THe answer was painful, if na obvious..he had na idea. The creatures were almost upon the raft, now. Once they reached it, there was na telling how they would attack...he needed to get off the raft, but the creatures had proven he could na best their speed in the water. Suddenly the answer slapped him in the face, literally,as io of the vines hanging down hit Vosh in the head. He turned to see another rapidly approaching, as the raft had picked up some speed...seemingly attempting to elude the blobs. Vosh drew his kaleh and tried to judge the distance to the riverbank..if he cut it too short, he would hit the water, and the amoebas would be upon him in na time. In io swift move, Vosh yanked the vine down and cut it high, just below his grip and with a primitive yell, he swung away from the raft, which the amoebas were now climbing on, and well beyond the riverbank. Vosh hit the ground running, again opting for na parting words with his latest amoebic stalkers. There was na direction, na reason to his running, he simply wanted away from the persistent pests. He caught a glimpse of a mountain peaking through the foliage and decided high ground would be best. After what seemed like an eternity of running/climbing, Vosh HAD to rest. He activated his ISD to check his position and noted a strange signal in his vicinity. It was definitely something, but was it friend or foe...Na sense getting freaked out now...he would check it out..if it was the hunter, perhaps he could surprise him... Secretly Vosh prayed..."Elements, let it na be the hunter..." Vosh moved silently through the path...disruptor in hand...he heard some noises coming from up the path and saw a small clump of foliage next to a decent sized rock...a perfect size to hide behind. Vosh was almost next to the rock when a figure raised up from behind it..directly in front of the Disruptors muzzel...but who was it?
  17. ^runs away from Pandarians...
  18. Au would be well advised to stay away from the Rihan vessel... WE do NA play well with others.......
  19. ^has WAYYY too much fun being a SGV...
  20. Vosh lay in the tall grass...he needed to rest..if only for a moment..he had been running non-stop for what felt like hours. The good part about being by alone was there was noone to slow him down or mooch his supplies. The bad part...well...come to think of it..there wasnt a bad part. He had the meat and some fruit he had found and plenty of water...what would be the use of a companion. In fact, those who linked up would leave more of a trail for the t'psy-cho to follow. Who needed a travel-mate? The wind blew cool over Vosh...his body drenched with sweat from trying to evade those pesky biting flies. They had stayed up with him for nearly 10 minutes before finally falling back. He stared up at the clouds in the sky...so peaceful....so serene...so...............................................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  21. Great Article... ::remembers Patrick wielding the Sword of Kahless:: hmm wonder what style I was?? :P Tach, really..that was WEEKS ago..au really should try to let go of the past :)
  22. I know several of you are young, single officers ready to take on the world...and as such, I see no problem with forming "Relationships" on your respective tours. However, as a husband and a father, I draw the line at anything beyond obvious friendship in a sim. Truth be told that is probably why I am on a Rihannsu vessel as well as play a Vulcan...although the Vulcan is having some issues of late...anyway... My vote is..in my opinion...........single-yes.........married-no Am I old fashioned...maybe..am I gonna change...no way..) Perhaps I should change my name to "the Future Old Fart.." :D
  23. Night had fallen around Vosh. He sat in the bosom of some type of tree catching 10 minute naps. The day had been eventful. He had procurred enough supplies for the rest of his trip...if he wasn't killed by a wild animal or that blasted psi-cho hunter. The river had turned back on him so he had waited on dinner to come to the water before moving on. While the river looked fresh enough, he knew better than to trust the water without purification. Instead...he had filled his cantine with rainwater from larger bamboo shoots as well as from the prevalent vines around him...though it took him awhile to remember to cut the notch at the top to allow for air flow. As for the disruptor, he planned on saving that for any close encounters with the hunter. The bamboo, however, also provided an excellent staff for a spear. He sharpened two smaller pieces with barbes (for fishing) tied them together with vines and grass and shoved them in one end of the shoot. With that, he actually had a rather menacing spear. He climbed a tree near the water and waited. He knew if nothing came he could try for any aquatic life present. The first two tries failed as his aim with a disruptor proved better than a stick. He ended up with a medium sized fur covered creature. While he wanted to cook the creature and eat it now, he knew he might need to make it last. He gathered kindling for a fire and placed it in a stump several meters away from the river. He fashioned a wooden grid of sorts and placed it over the opening of the stump. He had cut several strips of thin meat and placed them on the grid. The blade of his Kaleh against the butt of the disruptor made enough sparks to start the small fire. However, the fire didnt need to be big..it wasnt meant for heat or light...all Vosh wanted was a little heat and a lot of smoke. He placed four stakes around the stump and covered the stump with his outer jacket. This served to hold in the heat and the smoke and hopefully the smell as well as hide any obvious light source from any psi-cho's lurking about. He would have enough smoked meat to survive for the rest of the trip. The only problem were the insects. AAARGGgg. After taking his long sleeves off he was a buffet for the various biting bugs around him. He finally went to the river bank and covered himself with mud and clay hoping to build a protective barrier between him and the bugs. It helped, slightly..but sleep was difficult, especially since he stayed in a tree to keep an eye on the site as well as avoid any creepy crawlies. He was hungry but he decided to wait til morning before breaking into the hardtack. He would need his strength. He planned on gaining as much ground as possible tomorrow. Unforunately, plans had a way of changing lately.
  24. Hmmph...I resemble that remark... Jolan tru... I hope to run into au(you) at io(one) of the academies... Until then...
  25. Vosh sat quietly. He heard others bantering back and forth. He had nothing to say. Instead, he focused on preparing for the task ahead. If the khre'riov chose this tr'whoever he was, au could bet he would mean trouble for the crew before all was said and done. This exercise would either bring the crew closer together...or utterly destroy it. If only there were na so many variables. He could formulate a strategy if he knew the who what when and where of it all. But, he would have to wait like the rest of them. Well, not exactly like the rest of them. He had memorized the pack with the loose threads on the left harness. That was io of the packs containing water. He still did na know what type of land he would be dealing with...but water seemed a reasonable choice. He wondered if the wide eyed erein had enough sense to do the same. She had na said much in the bay while they were packing them. Na matter, her fate was of na concern at this moment. So, it all came down to this...becoming the hunter and the prey. Perhaps the elements would continue to be kind. He closed his eyes and tried to save all his strength for the challenge on the planet below.
