  1. Nice job! Can't wait for next version
  2. Personal Log Stardate 0404.01 Cdt. William Laiden "Begin recording, I was anxious about my first day at the academy. Reading the guidelines of conduct, I knew that I could succeed and graduate. I entered the Halodeck where training would begin, with great anticipation. I knew that I must succeed, make a great first impression. Our Commander asked what position we would like to begin our careers in, I was split between tactical and ops. I finally chose ops because I wanted to be in the position to get all crucial information to my Captain quickly. Our mission was to go into the nebula; the reason eludes me as I record this. I knew that this was not a good idea as soon as I saw the radiation levels in the ship rise. Our helmsman did his best, but we took a direct hit from an escaping plasma stream that breeched the hull on several decks. I erected force fields to contain those areas, but we lost a man. I felt so bad about my failure. The Commander was in a state of shock, I called sickbay to report to the bridge, I got no response. The comm. system may have been malfunctioning, although I saw no indication on my console. I suggested to turn back and leave the nebula, we had lost too many people, the captain agreed; the helmsman made an about face. Right when I thought that it was going to be OK, that my suggestion was going to save us all, the most horrible tragedy occurred, most likely programmed in though, to test us. A huge plasma stream disabled the shields and collapsed the bulkheads keeping the bridge together, the bridge had breeched. Air started escaping from my lungs as I started to faint. I’m not sure if it was me, or another officer, but the force fields regained enough power to reactivate. I recompressed the bridge, but to my utter horror, I heard no request for a damage report. I looked behind me to see nobody sitting in the command chairs; both the Captain and Commander were sucked out. With simulated fatality reports pouring in from all decks I knew I had to take command, as none of the other cadets knew what to do. I announced the situation, and assigned myself as acting captain. With warp engines down, port thrusters down, no indication or shielding, I thought about abandoning ship, I ran option through my head as we continued out of the nebula. The ship suddenly exploded in a glorious, but disappointing shower of burning failure. I had taken too long to make a decision. I had put my head out to try to salvage the simulation, but failed with my teachers watching. I hope that my next sim tonight will give me the opportunity to shine. End recording."
  3. I voted for Data, he was too funny. I like the episode where he tries to date a girl and then he pretends to get into a "Lover's Quarrel." They kiss and she asks him what he was thinking. Then he lists off about 10 things including "he appropriate amount of pressure to apply to your lips." HA! She thought he had feelings!
  4. Lets open up the Kilngon Blood Wine!
  5. That was a huge run-on sentence Kroells, try useing periods, or possibly commas! ;)
  6. I got the 20,000th post hehehe!
  7. Im in canada and I only will need to be 19. HA!
  8. You know what? Why the hell doesn't she wear a uniform? I think the Bridge officers just like seeing her in that cat suit. I bet Picard liked it! She had no real point in the show. In the episode that Enterprise hits the cosmic string Troi had no clue what to do. And if Riker and Data's head had not fixed the core breech, Troi's descision to not separate the Drive and Saucer section would have been fatal. But if that happened, the series would have ended with all them atomized and then no NEMESIS.
  9. I what episode does 7 try to take off harry's clothes? ;) ;)
  10. Cool, thanks! <EDIT> Whoops, 1 month later!
  11. I hated Dr. Polaski! She was the most un-nice character on TNG. She was such a @$$ to the whole crew! But, Neelix was annoying to the crew instead of the audience, but in a funny way.
  12. What? We didn't do anything! ::snickers 'cat suits' ;) ::
  13. I forgot to set my alarm clock an hour ahead so when I took a look at my watch when my alarm went, I was going to be late for school!
  14. Is that refrenceing to last night's 2nd acadamy sim?
  15. I hope a canadian team will win!! But I think the suspension of Burtuzzi will not hurt the canucks since his replacement, Matt Cooke, is as hot as Nacells at Warp 9.56! GO CANUCKS GO!
  16. Oh, well, hmmm... ;)
  17. I voted for the Xindi because they are whole species that want to destroy human kind.
  18. I can hardly wait!
  19. Happy Birthday!
  20. What motivated you to ask this Ven? BTW, Puppies are fluffy!
  21. Yeah, it was pretty crazy. Probably nothing could have been done to succeed.
  22. Personal Log Cdt. William Laiden Stardate 0404.02 Here goes, “Computer, begin personal log, My brain is tired from two sims in two days. Although I am fatigued, I can not wait for 0404.03. I believe that I am progressing well and will have a chance for graduation this month. I talked to my friend Christopher, he said he is going to join the academy training lessons. I was trilled to see that he has an interest in this, I hope we will be on the bridge crew together or work in engineering. He isn’t as smart as I am though, but we will do our best to get a posts on the same ship. Last night’s sim was a more exciting then the one 2 days ago. Last night we got a chance to abandon ship and survive, instead of having the ship blow up with us in it. We started off heading towards the last known position of a ship that we had lost contact with. I was nervous. I knew that it would not be a simple mission, something would definitely go wrong. When we dropped out of warp and I reported that there were 2 M-class planets in the system, I thought, ‘The commanders better not get killed this time.’ I didn’t have the desire to take command and fail again. The last sim was obviously set up for failure. I started scanning the system and detected a debris field near the second M class planet. We flew over at impulse. We read inconsistent life signs scattered on the surface. And as an away team was about to be assembled, power surges were detected all throughout the ship. Yellow alert was issued. I contacted Engineering for a possible cause. They could not explain it. The Red Alert alarm sounded automatically as I read on my console ‘Warp Core Breech Imminent in 2mins.’ Engineering communicated to the bridge (with klaxons in the background) that War Core Eject systems were off line and we had to abandon ship. I agreed. The Captain announced, ‘All hands abandon ship!’ As the Captain was being beamed off the bridge, the tactical officer and myself headed for the Turbo lift and got in an escape pod. I can not pilot yet, so the Ensign took the controls for an OK landing in a field. We gathered supplies, and repaired our injuries. I attempted to contact the captain, he was not responding. I contacted the Chief Medical Officer and he said that the Captain was unconscious and the Commander didn’t make it off. ‘How convenient,’ I thought. I used my communicator to contact the rest of the crew and informed them that I was taking command… again. The Chief Engineer had a Dune Buggy and offered to pick up the Tactical Officer and myself. He picked us up not more then 5 minutes later and while we were zooming towards the Captain’s crash site, the simulation ended. Maybe that was for the best, I had not failed, and I ended on a high note. I hope we do not continue this plot next week, the teachers will probably make me fail somehow. Computer, end log. ::turns to replicator:: Computer, 1 orange-flavoured ice water beverage.” --------------------------------------------------------------- I know this is a given, but this was the character’s view of last night's academy sim.
  23. That log was a great read. I watched the 10404.01 sim with the squids, it was fun to see.
  24. lol, and I thought THIS was long!
  25. Lol, what post does the dolphin have?
