About CaptStewart

  1. It began a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away. Ok, maybe it wasn't a far off galaxy but it certainly was a different world. There was this kid, a young teenager, about 14 as I recall. We called him Fred but his real name was Duane. He was a sweet kid in spite of his smart mouth and hard head. But I digress. One day, this sweet litte smart mouth had an idea to begin his own sim. I thought he was nuts but there was nothing new about that. His hard head refused to listen to me and it is a good thing he didn't. He pitched his idea to Tigress (some of you old SFOL'ers might remember her - she was booted from SFOL for some indiscresion - real or imagined - and went on to form her own simming group called the COL.) Tigress liked Fred's idea and told him he could start his own sim in her group. That was in October of 1995. I am not sure where he came up with the name Reaent. But after 15 years and three simming groups later, the Reaent is still going strong. I am at a loss for words! Who would have thought it possible? As I look at the simming schedule in STSF, I see a few names I remember. There are others noticably absent. I will always treasure my years with my beloved Hawking and Valkyrie. Regretably, they are not here. I am glad to see Republic made it (hugs & kisses to Blu & K'Bear) and Hood (bet you still have the best donuts, Huff), Arcadia and even Manticore! (remember those Academies, A9?). So congratulations to you all on the sucess of this forum. Thank you for saving some of the best sims in SFOL But today, my very special congratulations to Fred/Duane and the crew of the USS Reaent.Wish I could be with you tonight but this is the best I can do. Happy Birthday Reaent! And I hope you are still around in another 15 years. Love, Annie
