About Me

Insert Title Here

Greetings all. I am very new here, as in fresh-off-the-boat new. I have been gradually getting into Star Trek for the past four or five years, and finally decided that it is an interest I want to pursue. I'm a fan of Voyager, which I am currently in the process of marathoning through, and TOS, which I tracked down episodes of on CBS.com. I don't care much for Enterprise at all, and although I haven't seen enough of DS9 to make any judgments, it does look like a promising series. So far, my favorite of the Treks is The Next Generation, which I am looking forward to completing sometime this month.

Now that I've gone off on a tangent about the live action Star Trek TV series, let me actually get to the part where I talk about me. I am currently a twenty-three year old male human living in 21st century Earth. I am currently unemployed, but am pursuing a pseudo-career as a college student working toward a degree in vocal preformance. I aspire to go on to use this knowledge in an Opera career. My backup plan is to marry rich and be a stay-at-home dad, because money is awesome and I love kids. It has occurred to me that forming a tertiary plan would be a prudent preventative measure, but I've decided against it due to the fact that life's events rarely conform to the plans we lay down for it.

My roleplaying experience is extensive. I have played on another Star Trek SIM site before, on a collection of AIM-based simulations run by Sector001.com. Although I am considering starting up with them again, all of my activities with said group have been expanded for quite some time. Most of my roleplaying experience has been gained outside of Star Trek SIMs, however. I play several different tabletop gaming systems, including Dungeons and Dragons and The World of Darkness. I have also taken several impromptu lessons from online forum-based roleplaying and chat based roleplaying. All in all, my experience with this activity comes out to right about ten years, perhaps a little bit more, as I got started as early as twelve or thirteen years of age (although I forget which one it actually is).

All told, it is a pleasure to be here, and I look forward to making all of your acquaintances. See you on the boards!
