  1. Congratulations, Ethan! YAY!! :P
  2. Commonwealth of Kentucky. (For those who didn't know, Kentucky isn't considered a state, it is a commonwealth. HA!) Anywho, I only know of one other STSFer who lives in the area, though there have been several through the years from around Louisville. I'm only about an hour away from there. But... I'll be relocating next year when I go off to college. No definite decisions yet, and I believe I'll stay in-state, but who knows.
  3. Happy 16th. I remember being 16. Thankfully, it wasn't so long ago for me...
  4. This is what I get for being gone all weekend... I miss A9's birthday! Hope it was a good one, old man.
  5. ::sigh:: I've looked at Home Depot for one of those light effect things, and I can't find anything. Hey, I really want to do this now. Always have since "Christmas Vacation" (which Daryus mentioned). Now that I find out that I can, I can't find the most important piece. Oh well. Maybe next year... or the year after. Or maybe I'll just save my energy and skip it all together.
  6. Old car
  7. That. is. AWESOME! Oh, I have dreamed of doing some type of "Christmas Vacation" stunt with lights on my house, but alas... only in my dreams. One day, Alice, one day... I will have an even better light show on my house than that one!
  8. Happy birthday, ye with antlers. :D
  9. Happy birthday to both Garnoopy and Vanroy! Last year's post about the same thing.... http://www.stsf.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=3121 But why add to a topic when they're another year older, ah?
  10. Hey Rock... dunno if ya remember me, but I remember seeing you post some a long time ago on some other boards. Awesome of you to stop in and say hi!
  11. He uses Star Trek simming to help study for tests... :P Welcome, Spock. What mighty big ears you have.
  12. If your card is soundblaster (or something similar that you can set what format you are recording from; I think Windows Sound may even do this) then you can set your recording device to Wave. Play the file in Realplayer (or anything EXCEPT iTunes, which blocks this from working) and you can use the .wav recorder of your choice (Sound Recorder works, but it stops running after 60 seconds) to record what is coming through your speakers. This will save it as a .wav. mp3 files are compressed, so you'll have to find a wav->mp3 convertor to get what you're really wanting... but what I have above should work without a problem (though it can take time).
  13. YAY Muon! ::gets in the pouncing position:: You're going down. :P
  14. Make sure you have a copy of your Internet files on Red Hat before you go installing Java on it (whether it be Firefox or Mozilla/Netscape). I have *never* been successful at installing Java on Red Hat, and I've tried multiple times. (Don't take this the wrong way; I also know very little about Linux, other than it hosts my websites great!) I just know I've not had good luck with it... if you do it wrong (which I always have) you can't even open up your browser. :) Which, my solution, is to reinstall the entire blasted OS! B) Like I said, I don't know anything about Linux outside of web server functions... I've tried to learn, but it has been a slow process. hahaha. But the others are correct - Java is available for every OS I can think of. It is just the matter of installing it.
  15. Very nice writing. It was a lovely read!
  16. Happy birthday, Tach! And, for today, Happy birthday Jami!
  17. My first block teacher had this lovely news posted on her door when I walked in this morning. Arrrrgghhh! JOKE: Q. Why are pirates so mean? A. They just Aaarrrrrhhhh.... :(
  18. You can also unclick that "Enable Signature" checkbox when you post a topic if you think you overuse it. :) And, if you as a user doesn't like them, there is an option in the User Control Panel to turn off all signatures from view.
  19. Prices here in central Kentucky have dropped to $2.85, thankfully. It is still costing $40.00 to fill up my Accord. :)
  20. I believe I'm too sarcastic in real life to ever pull off the Vulcan thing. It just isn't me (though I have tried before). Besides that, I always figured I would be bored playing a Vulcan, bacause I usually don't have much to say - I just think about stuff, and try to make some dumb jokes. Vulcan ways and me really wouldn't get along; I'm too emotional. :D For the most part, I've always played Human characters. My first character, Hewitt Demore, was 1/2 Human, 1/2 Betazoid. But he didn't have any telepathic abilities, so it was just like using a human character. Farron is Bajoran, but also doesn't act like it - I cheated on her, and put her on Earth (or Starfleet bases) for half her life. I know how humans act, so that part is easier. ;)
  21. I'm not a Rusty fan because he is a butthead driver. Tony is tons younger, and has passed through his stage of being the annoying little kid... Rusty is still too impatient and too demanding. I am also shouting for Jimmy Johnson. Tony Stewart, dried up??? No, no - didn't you see him at the Brickyard?
  22. Crusty Rusty, Travis? Oy. He only ran two cars off the track this past week... ::sigh:: I'm just not a big fan. Go Tony Stewart!
  23. This is the last time I listen to you and try to watch Kiss from the balcony! Next time, we're getting tickets. I can barely see the face painting booth!
  24. I can't believe somebody just said that. ::waits for the thwap::  Only kidding... Anywho, I would find it very interesting to watch Stewart onstage. It is easy to see he was originally a stage actor, because of the amount of stage emotion he puts into his acting. Spendid!
  25. Oh, I know... I've seen pictures of you. Smoking.
