About Whickfield

  1. You are indeed correct, Aurora is currently working in STO. From what I hear from my friends still in the fleet they've been doing quite well. And in case I gave the wrong impression, my character is set in the prime universe, I was just converted by the '09 movie. I liked all the ships in the "prime line" better anyway ;) . Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
  2. Hello everyone, my name is John Whickfield. Current holder of the title of "Most interesting last name in the world", as well as the newest Cadet in the fleet. I am a Star Trek fan as of the 2009 Abrams flik, and previous to coming here I was a member of the Star trek online roleplaying fleet, Aurora Fleet, for 6 months in which I managed to blow up 50 marine fighters, dent 6 of the fleet ships, and getting soot on the fleet admirals ship, and all within my first week on the chat server. (Thankfully anything that happens in there was non-canon and so it was all in good fun ;) ). I left the fleet in January as I wouldn't be able to play STO when it came out and felt that I wouldn't be able to contribute to it anymore, but since then I've felt a wanting to do some RP again. So I decide "Ah, what the hey, lets take a look around" and I soon found this fleet. From what I've seen here so far everyone seems to be very kind and welcoming so I thought I try and join up. Admittedly I've never actually done a "sim" before (Aurora always had its members as CO of their own ship) but look forward to learning how to. Also, I always try to add a flare of comedy to my writing but however I can be serious when the mood calls for it. And, as you may already be able to tell, I tend to blabber on for paragraphs at a time when I write, though moreso in forum postings than in chat :P . I am very much looking forward to getting to know all of you and participating in my first fleet academy sim. Warm regards, Whickfield
