  1. A Q TV Series? With that particular brand of wry omnipotent humor that the older members of the race seem to possess (Q, Q2)?

I'd lose patience about halfway through the premier episode and start tossing random solid objects at the television.

That's why I love Q he's annoying to the point of maddness and you can't do **** about it, besides it couldn't be much worse then Enterprise

  2. Now I've been watching Star Trek for a good majority of my life (Mostly TNG) and I can safely say that Q is my favorite character out of all of them. When he shows up it's pretty much a promise that the following episode will be 6 different kinds of awesome. so I had an idea that they should make a Star Trek series (Or at least a mini series) based entirely around our favorite omnipotent being. Think about it, all the intelligence of a regular Star Trek series, but with much more Q adding humor and awesome. So what about you guys?

  3. Rex I could not agree with you more, with something like this, almost any other director would rush it out the door the moment it could even resemble finished and it would be crap. I've super hyped up, hopefully I'll be able to see it while it's in theaters and not miss out like I did with District 9 (I was the only person in my entire family who wanted to see it and it went out of theaters before I turned 17 this year). I'm seeing it and I hope to hell it's good.

  4. I've been aching for Dragon age origins for over a year ever since I saw it in "Game informer" and prayed that the promise that it would on consoles stayed put (I've seen more then enough games go from "All platforms" to "Exclusive but not on your console" so I was actually fearing the release a little). But one thing about it is annoying me a little, everyone says that the PC version is better because of the controls, which include a camera that I'd almost NEVER use, and an action bar which I actually find a bit hard to keep track of, which are the ONLY differences that matter in the slightest.

  5. The strategy really depends on what kind of game you play. Although, I must admit that I don't like playing games that make a science out of everything. When it comes to RTS I want to be able to get resources and build an army. Not a big fan of having to pay attention to every detail of my economy, if I want that I do my taxes. Guess that's why I liked StarCraft. But still, in battle I actually think about strategies and such.

When it comes to games like Diablo (another one I used to play obsessively) I got for the "big weapon and lots of strength" approach as well. I have no patience for becoming a sorcerer.

Yeah that pretty much me (Except without the Diablo part, I was never a PC gamer), although I do sometimes like mages cause you get to lay waste to the entire screen at once.

  6. Well either way I'll try it, but you know what I'd like? a GTA style game (You know going through the streets doing what ever the **** you want no rules, no clear direction, stuff like that), but from a first person perspective, or a GTA style game set in a fantasy setting (And no RPGs like Oblivion do not count), but I seem to be the only person that thinks either of these is a good idea.

  7. And what made it worse, is that he was played by Liam Neeson, one of my all time favorite actors (But then there was Christopher Lee who is ALWAYS awesome so that made up for it a bit). And now that I think of it, for the later two movies, Anikan was in his early 20s not a teenager, you'd think that 10 years with the Jedi would've matured him faster since they seem to have a mild version of Vulcan emotion traning.

  8. IDK, I like to sit back and think out the problem logically. I'm making a 2D Stargate SG-1 computer game that has elements of strategic battle, puzzle solving, and RPG, but it's a way coming.

Ohh that sounds cool, I'm planning on getting into Stargate soon, so I'll try it. Will it be an RTS or something different?

  9. Well I think it's the fact that later on in the series, enterprise just got so crazy with stuff that had never even been hinted at, I mean that whole war with the Xindi, with them blasting a six mile canyon into the earth with a mini Death Star. It just went to far off what had come before, and you'd think that if something like that had happened they would say something about it in the other series. But to my knowledge it never was if you're going to have something that big at least have it something that was referanced before. I actually think it was pretty good early on, and if they had continued in that vain, showing stuff we knew happened (Like first contact with the Bolians or something) it would probably have gone for a few more seasons.

  10. I'm fairly new to the main stream Star Trek Fanbase, so I probably missed something along the way, but it seems that my favorite of the franchise Voyager, is disliked by alot of others. I mean no I haven't seen alot of the original series and I'll probably like that more, but what did I miss during Voyager that made people think so poorly of it?

  11. And, per the special features on Star Trek 11: writers Orci and Kurtzman (who are Trek fans, yes) actually looked to the three original Star Wars films as a sort of corner stone to update/base the new Trek action (such as the firefights) in the movie on -- to satisfy the so called modern movie audience.

You know, hearing the "pew ping pew pew ping" of the phasers on the Narada run and gun fight as opposed to the "stand still and fire the phaser that has a long phaser beam so the special effects can kick in"?

The Original Wars films were considered by the writers...not the three newest prequel films. Personally, I agree with that because the three originals are Star Wars to me, not the three newer films....I don't know what the three new Wars films are supposed to be.

Another thing, speaking of Lucas controlling Wars canon to within an inch of its life - the Wars books are considered canon. I still say Trek fiction books should be considered canon as well.

I also knew that, and I als agree to that, I don't know what it is, but as far as I'm concerned those things are not canon Star Wars. But I guess they did one good thing for me (Depending on what your measure of "Good" is {Also this was after I learned what good movies are}), the moment I heard someone say the prequels were better because they had better effects, I felt my first desire to horribly maim someone.
