About Aria L'raunt

  1. Sadly, the local government was forced to put up warning signs to deter travelers from trying to cross bodies of water on horseback. ((ah, on second glance, not a horse. Oh well. xD))
  2. Thank you so much for the link. I was trying to find an example of a player made species for just that reason. As for your suggestion, I do appreciate it, but I don't see any advantage that would come from choosing a pre-accepted species as opposed to constructing my own. Besides, it'll be a great exercise in creativity. ^.^ If my species idea isn't approved, though, it's most likely I'll be playing a canon species anyway. And I'm sure the GM approving me will take into account that I'm new here, and will reflect it in their decision.
  3. That's an interesting technique. I'll have to try it out. As anyone who has roleplayed at length knows, roleplaying with yourself is rather dull, and so is playing an overly-powerful character. I don't think there will be any problems in this regard. I hope so. :) Thanks for the replies everyone. I look forward to seeing you all on the roleplaying field.
  4. Just an old roleplay junkie, deciding to jump in and see what's what. I've got over a decade of roleplaying experience, and I'm looking to try something new. And as I've lately been getting very interested in the Star Trek universe, I've decided it's time to find one and try it out. As for my question. What exactly is the policy on players creating new species for their characters? I've got an idea for my own in mind (rather basic details, really, nothing too articulated) but I don't want to spend too much time on it if there's going to be heavy opposition. Any insight provided is definitely appreciated. Oh, and I did my first academy sim the other day. Very fast paced and a little hard for me to follow, but still very enjoyable. Hopefully in the next one I won't feel as though I'm drowning. ~Caaga
