  1. Scientists in Tel Aviv have created a laser that can seal wounds by bonding the skin together rather than using stitches. This new technology, much like the technology seen in Star Trek, is being used on Israeli patients with much success. There is an amazing video at http://dvice.com/archives/2009/02/doctors_demo_st.php demonstrating the procedure. Just another example of how Gene Rodenberry’s fiction is becoming fact.
  2. Hi all. I am absolutely mad about Star Trek (especially TOS) and am very excited to be able to sim and hopefully make friends with other Star Trek fans, as out here in the land of the long white cloud there are very few trekies and I have never met anyone as into Star Trek as I am. I have no experience with RPGs ect (so am very grateful for Starfleet Academy) but when I found this site It seemed so great I had to give it a go as it’s the closest I will probably ever get to the Star Trek world. So Thank you very much for this opportunity.
