Comanche Creek will also be running, unless we don't have enough people, then we'll be having our first annual Barbecue

Creek's command staff find BC's kitten pictures...let the requisite ribbing begin

More proof that civilization is coming to an end:Zagat rated 5 Guys Burgers and Fries above In'N'Out. My trust in the human race's judgment has taken a near fatal blow.
Have you actually had a Five Guys burger? I'd have been more concerned if Zagat's rated McDonald's.

Audraya walked into the ship's open mess for a fresh cup of coffee and some kind of carbohydrate to keep her blood sugar up. Reports from all parties on both Major and Minor reported random drive-by paintballings. Let Maya and Chief Nanohana deal with the reports for a while. And when I find BC, I'm gonna have his boys outfit the Goshawks with their own paintball ammo.
As she grabbed a couple of pineapple-filled powdered donuts and fresh coffee from the counter, she spied T'Aral sitting by herself. And apparently the subject of much rubbernecking in the mess hall. The evil eye of the XO scanned the room as she headed towards the ship's surgeon's table, and those crew and officers who caught it, turned back to their meals, and grabbed the focus of their tablemates who hadn't.
"Mind if I join you, Doc," Audraya asked, setting her napkin wrapped, highly sugar'd snack on the table.

What about the twinkie?Well, let's say this Twinkie represents the normal amount of psychokinetic energy in the New York area. Based on this morning's sample, it would be a Twinkie... thirty-five feet long, weighing approximately six hundred pounds. "

<< FYI - I will choose a winner on Saturday and announce at the Red Star Lounge. >>Don't forget to post it here too, Doc.

The internet is the last bastion of truth and honesty in the world.Which is why I only get my global news off the BBC News website. They, unlike certain US media outlets, are fair and partial and discuss even US events that would be otherwise ignored from our media

Ahh, so they aren't as big as dinner plates and scream like the urban legends lead us to believe? :PSilly Hans. You should know better than to believe everything you read on the Internet.

I found a Scorpiad in my house today. I crushed it under my heel.Perhaps the next one I shall keep as a pet and feed it crickets.
... but I doubt it.
We used to keep camel spiders as ops center mascots when I was in Iraq, usually until they got to big for the Twizzler's store sized box we kept them in. They seemed to enjoy feasting on the lizards that ran around the place.

Her quarters darkened, Audraya sat on the couch, staring out the armored viewport at the traffic passing the orbiting destroyer. T'Aral had ordered her to take four hours of “personal” time, but she found it difficult, and instead had a quiet dinner with Tifa. Everything about the previous mission irked her...not so much the crossing into disputed space on a possible rescue mission, but everything else. The damaged, yet intact, communications buoy. The smarmy Klingon captain, retiring after disagreeing with the Imperial High Command's decisions about Nero. Klingon captains don't normally retire, unless it was due to an aggravated disruptor bolt to the head. Nor do they dispute decisions coming from Q'onos. The majority of the crew of the SS Demeter remaining aboard, serving under Korloth, aboard a D-5 medium cruiser turned freighter. Most Klingon warships do not make useful merchantmen.
Add to the fact that Crash was confined to quarters for 48 hours didn't help. At least the crew kept the ship running efficiently in port, even with those down on the planet for liberty. Admiral Coyote, true to her word, advised Audraya of the gist of the meeting she had with the Captain, as well as their new orders. Cattle drive...and some enterprising crewman had changed the muzak to the Blues Brothers cover of “Rawhide” in the lifts. While it would definitely give a new meaning to the term “Milk Run,” it wasn't exactly what they had wanted.
Loosening the sash on her robe, she stood and walked back into the bedroom. T'Aral was nothing but efficient, and was already gearing up Sickbay for veterinary medicine, Engineering was already taking into account the dirty job of handling the additional waste. And Crash was coming off her 48th hour of confinement.
As the Commander crawled back into bed, Audraya closed her eyes, a smile lingering on her face.

I think the most embarrassing thing I've done was cut a rent check and sign it "Destorie N'Dak"And that's why, my dear STSF God of Chaos, is why I pay my rent online.

T'Aral, I know I've asked this before. Perhaps if you post the info. How do we 'listen' to the music?Do a search on youtube for the author and title.
-
I hope people actually -listen- to the songs I post on Red Star Lounge. It's a lot of work thinking of new titles.Oh, and where do all these CGI Avitars come from?
I do.
Both Scooter's and T'Mir's avatars came from SecondLife. Will's, when he pulls it up, was done by Sam Kent.

Once again, cadet logs are considered extra-curricular, and are not mandatory. How one player develops their character may not work for other players.

Manticore will sim. If we have enough folks, the plot continues - if not, we set a nacelle on fire and do s'mores.
Absences will be excused absences.
Oooo...s'mores. At least you have that luxury. We only have one nacelle.
-
Comanche Creek will be simming on Monday, without advancing the plots. Unless we don't get enough to run.
-
Indeed...Happy Canuck Day. :P
Enjoy the back bacon and Molson
