  1. Oh come on guys we debate this stuff in school...i dont need to deal with it out side of those god forsaken halls. :)
  2. Van roy I say this for the good of the milky way galaxy...no wait all of the multiverse when i say 'NO ONE WANTS TO SEE YOU IN THE SHOWER YOUR JUST HAVING TO MANY FANTASIES WITH A CERTIN KLINGON IN A COUNSELERS UNIFORM!!!'
  3. In the nick of time part 2...Kroells’s logs Travis walked into his dorm room where O’Connor and several buddies were going a padd containing some sort of schematic. To day was his and Kayla’s 6 month anniversary and he had planed it all out to the dime. First he would take her out to a nice restaurant, then the two would head over to the party that Conn had planed, and cap it all off with a little illegal action Connor said would be just perfect. Travis headed to his room to change out of his uniform and into more casual clothes. Connor quickly got up and headed over to him while he was pulling out several shirts examining each to determine which one looked better on him. “So what are you getting Kayla tonight?” Connor asked as he approached. “Oh come on now where’s the fun in that…why should tell you her gift if you wont tell me the secret project for this party you’ve been working on for the last month and a half.” Travis replied trying to give Connor a good reason as to why he hadn’t even found a good present yet. Travis began to take the upper portions of his uniform off as Connor just stared into space. “Hey you done Conn??? I got stuff to do so let me get changed.” Connor quickly snapped out of his trance as he looked to the padd, looked to Travis, snickered and then left. Travis continued to change as he looked out to see Connor return to his dorkey engineering buddies as they once again returned to the padd that he had held on to since Travis had last seen him. “I swear to god I will never understand engineers. It’s like their married to the ship. If you ask me they all have a few too many screws lose.” Travis was still walking through the streets of San Francisco looking for a gift for Kayla. This was rather difficult as to the fact that he had to avoid all the local shopping areas where his friends hung out, if Kayla found out that he was hunting for a gift just now he’d have to open a hole into the ground and have the depths of hell be his sanctuary from her wrath. Travis blinked and shuck his head trying to get rid of the bad thoughts. Several other customers began to give him weird looks as he quickly left the store. Travis slowly entered the restaurant where he was to meet Kayla. He slowly looked around for her and then walked farther into the restaurant looking for her. He slowly turned his head finally laying eyes on her and quickly pulled out the seat. He half heartedly listened to her as he stuck his hand into his pocket and felt the little gray box that he had bought. He slowly opened it to feel the circular object with the little stone on top. He closed his eyes as he mustered up the courage to take that final leap into the unknown…
  4. In the nick of time part 1...Kroells’s logs Travis stood in the upper level of the engineering section going over several consoles seeing if any of them hadn’t been burnt beyond recognition. He headed towards the main console, the one that would go directly above the warp core. Travis stepped up to it just a few feet away from the core. He slowly looked down towards the console to see if any thing of use was left. I was badly burned but he figured that I couldn’t hurt to touch the panel and see what happened. As he brought his finger to the consol it instantly begin to collapse inward as if try to avoid his touch. He had finally given up once the entire panel had collapsed and he headed towards another one. After about four consoles latter and now four piles of burnt equipment Travis had given up. He didn’t really feel like going down yet. He slowly approached the wall and examined it. It could still hold his wait so he put his back to it and sat down using it as a back rest. His thoughts once again drew to that woman that had been alive when the team had entered engineering. “Why couldn’t Mills just transport her to sick bay right away instead of gawking around?” Travis couldn’t help but mutter. He quickly began to go over the possibilities as to why he hadn’t transported her. Finding none he began to wonder why he hadn’t just given the order. By ranking wise he was technically second in command of the away team over here. He just couldn’t figure it out…he just didn’t know why he had choked…choked like he had in the academy. Travis thought to him self that he could never figure out how that accident had happened. Actually he knew why and how it had happened he just didn’t know why he didn’t do any thing to help. Travis stood on the main campus grounds at Starfleet academy in San Francisco. He had recently finished an other science mission simulation and was currently resting on one of the many benches on the walkways to the other buildings. He wished he could just head back to his dorm and hang out with O’Connor and his buddies but in just a few hours he would be taking his basic firearms test to prove that he could at least fire a phaser on an away mission. He had always had a passion for being in security but now the more he looked at it the more he was most likely to be a scientist. He could picture it now… he’d be placed on a sovereign class ship, plenty of work but plenty of rewards, and he’d always be in a new place with new mysteries and excitement. Travis was awakened from his day dream by the sound of a female voice. “Umm…excuse me is this seat taken?” Travis quickly opened his eyes and looked to the woman. He then quickly looked to the open area of the bench that wasn’t being used. “Umm…no…umm…yea you can use it.” Travis said rather awkwardly, he didn’t know if it was he was just snapped out of his little dream world and he was still plenty groggy, or if it was because she was quite attractive and couldn’t stop taking his eyes off of her. She quickly sat down and stuck her hand out. “I’m Kayla…and what would your name happen to be?” Travis fumbled to get his hand to the same level as hers. “Err….I’m…umm…Kroells…yea…Travis Kroells.” He stupidly replied as he shook her hand. “Kroells…Kroells…where have I heard that name before…” Kayla trailed off as Travis began thinking strait once again. “Err…yea my dads Admiral Barry Kroells.” “Wow that’s got to be fun…that is you have a big shadow to step out of.” Kayla said as she began to her stuff away. “So…what are you doing tonight any ways?” Travis quickly went through is mind searching for any important things tonight that he couldn’t miss. “Umm…I’ve got a firearms training class in like an hour but after that I’m free I should be done in like an hour.” “Good. I’ll pick you up around 7 and then we’ll see what happens from there.” Kayla said as she walked away. Travis also got up and headed towards his next class. “Did she just ask me out?” “Yes you dimwit…your losing your touch.” His mind replied back. “Yea well you know what I don’t care. I have a date with a hot chick tonight and if you were out here I bet you wouldn’t care how you got her either.” “Your sad Travis…very sad.” “Shut up or I’ll stab you with a que-tip.” Travis heard no other responses from his little voice as he headed towards the building where his test was to take place. He had a feeling that tonight was gona be a night to remember…
  5. Exploding Drinks (not quite in that order)…Kroells’s logs Travis stood in the turbo lift heading to the bridge. He stood in the center of it absently listening to the Klingon opera that Lt. Garnoopy had put in and that Travis had failed to adjust while he was given command of the bridge. The brunt of his attention was focused on the events that had just happened in his quarters. He didn’t know if Kansas was interested in him or not but he did know that he had finally taken a right step in forming any kind of a relationship on this ship. He was slightly disappointed in the fact that his department head Lt. Sivuk had called him to the bridge to prepare for the ship leaving space dock. But he relised that if he put his duties aside in order to make friends on the ship he was just proving that image of himself right. The turbo lift doors whooshed open as he saw the bridge once again. Unlike the empty sight he had seen when he was given command; instead the bridge actually appeared to have a little life in it. He headed to his usual science station. From what he knew barley any one else used it. He would have loved to put a little jingle in it for when he activated it but now was hardly the time. He activated the console and looked to Sivuk who appeared preoccupied at the time. Not long after Lt. Garnoopy appeared on the bridge heading over to tactical. The ship slowly began to come back under its own power as the umbilical cords from the station were removed. He once again felt the slight hum and vibration of the ships engines, a familiarity he had missed during this shore leave. Ensign Clueless slowly brought the ship out into open space and plotted a course for the next mission. At the time Travis didn’t really know or care where they were going just about any were was fine. Travis absent mindedly started to look over his consol and at the sensor scans of the space up ahead. Nothing much the outer marker and the USS Cairo the Intrepid class starship he had seen in space dock when the Reaent had originally arrived. Travis Turned away for several seconds to inquire to Sivuk about something he thought he saw him do. When he turned back to the readings on his console he couldn’t help but gasp. What was once the USS Cairo, an impressive ship indeed was now what appeared to be a hunk of metal floating in space. The next thing he saw once again made him gasp. He would have announced the incoming shockwave speeding towards the Reaent if someone else hadn’t already done that. But he knew what was coming he knew it would be a punch in the gut to the unprepared crew members. Travis grasped as well as he could to the edge of his consol and waited for it. The incoming shockwave was enough to make a behemoth of a ship like the Reaent to move to say the least. Travis lost hold of the consol and was sent into the air several feet. Before he knew it, it was all over. He was on the ground several feet from his previous position with his hands and knees supporting him from completely falling to the ground. He slowly got up, his knees burning with pain. He was sure he injured them in some way, or at the very least will have them rather sore for the next few days. He returned to his console and began reading off the damages on the Cairo to Lt. Sivuk who in turn was informing the captain of the situation. Travis looked around at the chaos on the bridge. He sighed knowing that with this new predicament he once again wouldn’t be getting the sleep he so surely deserves
  6. The waking nightmare part 2...Kroells’s logs “Wake up.” Travis was once again on the bridge where this had all started. Every time this same exact thing happened. Travis had enough. “What is this place?” “Who’s doing this!?! Help me!” The world instantly went blank and then shown to Travis again. He was in a pure white…so white in fact that if there were any walls and doors he wouldn’t have been able to find them. He slowly turned in a large circle to familiarize himself with his new surroundings. He had almost turned full circle when he saw the mysterious figure in the captain’s uniform. Travis ran towards him but he never appeared to get any closer to him. “Who are you?! What are you doing here?! Answer me!!!” The laws of nature seemed to respond to his demand as the mysterious figure appeared right in front of him making Travis use all of his balance to keep from tumbling over. The figure slowly raised his head so that Travis could see his face. He looked exactly like him! His face had shown the signs of age but it was as clear as day that this man could easily pass for his twin. “You know your so stubborn Travis. Just like I used to be.” “Who are you and what are you doing here?” Travis demanded for the second time. “Well I can’t answer your first question but as to your second one it’s quite obvious.” Travis’s face changed from one of extreme frustration to one of extreme confusion. “I’m you. In a manner of speaking. Think of me more of a possible you.” “What do you mean possible me?” “Well I’m the you who would have obeyed Commander Ridire’s order back on Heratio V.” “So that’s the only thing that sets us apart. The fact that I ignored Ridire’s order? That’s what sets us apart?” “Oh no Travis this is only the tip of the iceberg. I’m the you that you want to be. The person who always follows orders, always has the right plan, always has a clean record, and most importantly the one who has the friends.” “You think we’re so different I’ve had plans before I’ve made some right choices.” “Ha you say that now but wait another ten years or so. Like I said Travis this is only the beginning for you. Let me ask you this question. When was the last time you didn’t resort to alcohol to get rid of your trouble? When was the last time you actually relised something that happened in this universe wasn’t your fault? That’s your problem Travis…you think the entire universe revolves around you. When something goes good you were the cause of it…and when something goes wrong its all your fault.” “So what take a look at what happened on our last mission it was my fault!” “One mire incident.” “When was the last time you didn’t take credit for something that happened on the ship?” “Were all a team every one helps out on something!” “Don’t be an idiot you know what I mean.” Travis began to walk away in a fury of anger and rage. “I don’t have to take this!” The older version of him self once again appeared in front of him. “But you do. Why else would you be here? To hear a pep talk from an older you?” Travis tried once again to walk away until the older one grabbed him by the shoulders and held him steady. “Why do you have to be so stubborn? Don’t you realize how many people out want to help you want to be your friend? Why can’t you just open your miserable heart once in your life and experience friendship!?” “Because! Because every time I do something happens, something always goes wrong, some one always gets hurt!” “You moron that’s what being a human is! Your cant always have the perfect friendships or relationships something will go wrong its human nature to make mistakes!” Travis was thrown to the ground by the older self. The room began to fade out of existence and he saw himself disappear. The older Kroells’s voice now echoed through out his mind. “I finally know what makes us two so different. You’re afraid to be human.” Travis opened his eyes to find himself once again on the bridge but this time back in Fred’s chair where this had all started. He briefly glanced around to see ensign clueless sitting at the ops station going through what appeared to be status reports. Travis turned to face and address him as the ensign heard Travis stir and turned his chair to face him. “Where have you been ensign?” “Excuse me sir? I’ve been on the bridge the entire time since you were given command of the bridge.” “So you didn’t leave to get some report?” “No sir I would have needed your permission and you fell asleep a few minutes after ensign Goad left the bridge.” Travis sat for a few minutes pondering what he had just been through. After he relised the ensign was still waiting for a reply he cleared his throat. “Ah yes thank you ensign you may return to your previous work.” “Aye sir.” Travis leaned back into the chair again going over what had just happened. Was that version of himself really right? Was he truly just afraid of being hurt? No that couldn’t be…he had to prove himself wrong. This was a new beginning. One Travis knew he couldn’t possibly fail at.
  7. I just have one question...are you the vulcan on the ship who doesnt repress his emotions cause if you arent spock would be ashamed! j/k ;)
  8. I dont see how this relates to star trek at all....unless we're talking about Vanroy's singing in the shower? Im all shook up! ;)
  9. The waking nightmare…Kroells’s logs Travis sat on the bridge in Fred’s chair. It had been over a half an hour since Spencer left and another fifteen since ensign Clueless had went to get a report from his quarters and never returned…Travis absently stared out into space via the main view screen. He knew now wasn’t the time to fall asleep but his current loneliness on the bridge sleep was not deniable… “Red alert!” Fred yelled as Travis found himself on the bridge once again but this time at his usual science station. He looked around to find the bridge hell on earth. The entire engineering station had been blown out as evidence as to why there were no engineers on the bridge. Travis could here over the explosions and the fires people screaming. “I want to know what kind of a torpedo that was! And how it penetrated our shields!” Fred yelled above the chaos. “Lieutenant are you just going to stand there looking at the view screen or are you going to do something!” Fred yelled from his chair over to Travis. He turned around and attempted to get his bearings strait. An other massive shock went through out the ship as he could see the science station next to him explode sending Spencer flying across the bridge. “Sir!” Lieutenant Garnoopy yelled across the bridge while viewing Spencer lying on the ground. “All attempts to remodulate the shields have failed!” Fred nodded and turned to Travis. “Lieutenant I want a way to defend against those torpedoes! Now!” Travis felt the sting of the last order deeper then he thought he would. He quickly ran several scans coming to the conclusion that they were being attacked by some unknown ship…using an unknown warhead. “Sir the ship has leveled up to the main engineering room…Their firing another barrage directly at the core!” “Lieutenant shields now!” Fred yelled at the top of his voice. Travis moved to hit the panels but his arms instantly began to fill with lead. His legs refused to support him any more as he began to fall to the ground only saving him self by grasping the edge of the station. “They have fired…Ten seconds to impact!” Garnoopy yelled. Fred instantly appeared over Travis as he struggled to raise an arm. “Your pathetic lieutenant. I can’t see how you made it past basic training.” Travis mustered all his strength as he slowly began to lift the arm. Spencer got up and walked over to him…he couldn’t believe it he thought a blast like that would have killed him. And he was right the way Spencer looked he shouldn’t be alive. “Look at me…This is your fault.” The entire bridge staff began to chant the same hideous saying “We have to pay your you mistakes. Your fault yet we pay. Your fault yet we die.” Travis lost what ever strength he had as he fell to the ground. “Your fault yet we die.” A man in a command uniform walked over to him…Travis strained to see the pips signaling he held the rank of a captain. He could feel the massive shake as the ship began to come apart. Stations exploded, people flew and died. The unknown captain grabbed him by the collar and lifted him to his height. As the rest of the bridge began to come apart he muttered but two words. “Wake up.” End part 1...
  10. USS Kick the baby! USS Theres been so many ships named after it why not just put USS alphabet USS Im not fat im bigboned USS Milenium Falcon USS Pips USS Garnoopy clone ship USS Shemp USS A9 retirement ship USS There sure are a lot of ugly people in you neighborhood...oh look at that one! USS Always ten minutes late USS Always fifteen minutes late USS Never ten minutes early USS USS thats all i got for now folks my brains wasted....i need....::to wasted to think:: ;)
  11. sorry ensign while a hosptial ship sim sounds interesting im a scientist at heart. Ask garnoopy i've told him that like 15 times
  12. hmm....that reminds me of...nothing... ;)
  13. ::sits confused:: god i hope this makes more since during the sim ??? ;)
  14. ahh hell i just say we make some planet to throw them all on....we could make a theme park...the thousand and one garnoopys ;)
  15. And take it from me...dont drink a can of mountain dew while at your station...well i did that after I graduated but still....umm just dont do it :;):
  16. I dont know if this is right but i thought i remember ::Man i sound like a9:: reading an article that the TOS warp scale was expontial in powers of ten ie: warp 1= speed of light warp 2= 10 times the speed of light. Now I dont know if this is right but it would make sence if that a ship like voyager could beat out a large ship...take Reaent (bad example take another ambasador) by like a warp difference of .01 because once your up into the warp 9.9 area a .01 increase is like hundreds of times faster then the one before it. (always remember im a freshman in high school)
  17. I dont know why you guys would do that....maybe its my personality...maybe its because im not observant but i cant find any fault with any ST characters. ::Gets into stance prepared for sticks, stones, and various types of fruits::
  18. I wonder what it would be like to fly into a supernova...Fred set a course for a supernova maximum warp!
  19. Stand tall with me brother I can find no fault in star trek. (Except when i heard some idiot say beem me down scotty)
  20. Hmm Kirk...the scariest thing is im not suprised ;)
  21. I'd like the title: I only speak my mind...Thats why I don't talk much
  22. Oh this is just geting worse and worse as i read it... ;)
  23. Day 2... (The pips)...Kroells’s logs. We have finally departed from the god forsaken planet a few hours ago. I personally have no idea where we are heading next but any where would be better even sailing down the river stixs into Hades depths. This is one of the most confusing times of my life. At the end of my shift the captain pulled me away and promoted me to the rank of lieutenant junior grade. I returned to my quarters as I am still confined it appears. Either way it was most likely where I would have returned any ways. For some reason the second I got inside I had to take the pip off. For some reason I just can’t wear it yet, it’s probably because I don’t believe I disserve it yet. I sat on the couch that I had got on our last shore leave looking out my window at the stars flying by. Something is so unsettling about that pip. Maybe it’s because if I’m right the only thing my department head LtJg Sivuk out ranks me by is the time he’s been on the ship. Maybe it’s because now I outrank out rank most of the friends I’ve made on this ship Garnoopy, Spencer, and Kansas. If the need arise I could order them to do something and that doesn’t sit right with me. I don’t want to order my friends around. It makes me wonder how Fred does it… I finally relised how hungry I was. I went towards the replicator and ordered something I hadn’t had since I got on this ship, a nice order of baby back ribs with a side of corn and a biscuit. When I sat down and started eating I realized why I hadn’t eaten it for so long. It was what I ate when I was accepted into the academy, I ate it when I graduated, and I ate it when I was promoted to ensign and was assigned to this ship. Suddenly I couldn’t eat it. I picked off the best parts of it and threw it into O’Connor’s bowl. He ate it like it was his last supper. I couldn’t help but laugh. At least some one is getting something good out of this promotion. I picked up the little gold pip from my desk were I had finally managed to finish my backed up work during this confinement. How could so much torment come from something so little? I opened my desk drour and stuffed the pip in there and slammed the door. No…no I reopened the drour and put the rest of my pips and my comm. badge in there and reslammed it. I screamed at the top of my lungs as I tried to my collar and upper uniform. I gave up after a while and collapsed against the wall. I contemplated on what to do…I quickly got up and walked over to the minifridge that I had in the academy I opened it up and found what I wanted. I pulled out the flask of whiskey that my dad had given me the day I graduated. “Now remember boy that aint no synthohol crap that’s the real good stuff…you only drink it when you have a good reason.” Now was as good as a time as ever. I opened it up and tipped back. The potent alcohol hit my lips as I let it flow down my throat. Disgusted I pulled it away from my lips and looked at it. I drank again and again. It finally came to me why those pips disturbed me so. Eh lieutenant junior grade Travis Kroells maybe if I can drink away the memories of Ensign Travis Kroells. I pulled the flask to my lips again and allowed my self to slip into drunken bliss…Salute…
  24. I've been couped up within my quarters for several hours now and I just recived the news that our ops/helm officer mr. Van Roy is leaving our ship. He was a good friend…it seems more and more that things are stacking up against me. Vanroy was my only true friend on this ship and the way things our going for me I could realy use one right about now. I cant help but wonder if they are going to split up helm and ops now that our crew shorted is finaly over. I could remember the time we didn’t have a working engineering staff. (don’t tell starfleet comand im sure we broke many a protocal by that) But of all the people to leave I thought of vanroy the least. Times are getting tuff for me and the prospectes of runing away from my problems is getting more and more hard to resist. But if there was one thing I learned from vanroys pranks and insults was that sometimes you just have to rough out the hard times untill the good ones show up again. I have a feeling that those hard times will be here for a while for me but I musnt give up. Good by Mike Vanroy I know I speak for all of the crew when I say you will missed.
  25. Day 1…Kroells’s personal logs Well…where do I begin? There is no real good place to start after getting back from an away mission that went to hell in record speed (On the official stance I’m sure it didn’t take the new record….ask spock I’m sure Kirk did something worse faster then me.) I’ve taken my first assimant on a ship and shot it to hell…but on with the details…I had woken up in sick bay some time soon after we arrived back at the Reagent. I don’t quite know how I passed out but I know that gelatinous creature had something to do with it. I now realize why I didn’t take my scientific knowledge and join the medical department. Frankly because there slower then my grandmother in the morning. Either way I had been spending the time I would have been using preparing my will trying to fix me up from what ever I caught on the surface. Time passed and I was sure that we had passed into the 25th century. At least I managed to meet the new doctors’ mills and smith. I also met the new ensign in security nicknamed Kansas. She was intriguing to say the least but none the less I tried to work a little charm and got her to go on a jello date with me. But then the moment I had feared the most had come…Fred showed up in sickbay ready to put me in the body bag right there and then. At first I thought he was gona drag me off to the brig and interrogate me there but he headed with Debbie to her office and discussed something there. I waited almost getting anxious to get it out of the way… I figured this might be my last day on this ship and I was hoping to try to make it through partially intact. Either way Fred had finish and had brought me into Debbie’s office. I had no doubt that smith and possibly even Debbie was getting as close as possible without being caught. What I thought were day’s go by until Fred finally asked me why I did it. I had attempted to tell him about my difficulty acknowledging any thing else other then my scientific work. But when he finally acknowledged what I had said and I could see he took it the bad, bad way well then I knew that the **** had just hit the fan. I didn’t think that Fred had it in him to explode like that…but man the only other man I know to have an affect like that on me was my father and that usually took physical discipline too…It was over before I knew it. Confined to quarters except when on duty. I entered my quarters disgusted with my self. He was right I could have killed every one on this ship, and what if someone gets hurt on the new mission. Not only will I have to deal with those conciqentions but I’ll also have to deal with the proverbial blood on my hands. All I could do when I got to my room was send Kansas a message informing her on my inability to make it to our diner date. Now I just lay on my bed watching my Starfleet career crash and burn before my very eyes. End log… (Well what do you think?)
