  10. Yep Reaent hands down, I've only been there for 8 months and with all of the good plots i've managed to write 40 logs!
  11. It's gotta be manticore, the first graduates (me, vanroy, garnoop, loami, and precip) we all know each other and have simmed with each other in some form or an other (including that weekend i got bored went into the holodeck and it ended up me and precip flying around by our selfs with two crews of npc's) but in that since we're like the first five. What all i've just said means: nothing realy im just trying to think of an actual reason to vote for the manticore garnoopy, because i think he was the one we hung out with in the academy and the lougne latter on.
  12. I've always wondered what Fred would look like dressed up as that red telitubby though...
  13. “Over flow”…Kroells’s logs (35th log) Contentment. That’s the only word Travis could use to describe how he felt. Floating here in the dark recess’s of his mind, unconscious due to the actions of a one Brian Smith. He just floated there content not to move, to think, to see the light of the real world any more. Then slowly he heard the voices, of Brian and the rest of sickbay. For a moment Travis was worried that he might wake up, but that proved to be the opposite. It was like here from under water. Travis could make out the words, but they were blurry and seemed distant to him. And then he heard something he definitely didn’t expect. His own voice, “Don’t make me do this Ridire…I don’t want to go…” Travis franticly looked around, for what could be doing this, but it did not help. For before the heard the words he had no connection with the light. Now all he heard was himself babbling about useless information, things he had thought about and pushed below… That was it! What caused it; he had thought these things before. Why Ridire gave him the away mission for starters. And now unconscious like this, in his own dark hide away he couldn’t control his thoughts, and they were betraying him. He couldn’t do any thing, not in this position any way, and besides even if he truly wanted to wake up, he couldn’t. Not with Brian’s sedative running through him. His mind is only true place of privacy, he could think what he wanted, with out the worry of any one questioning his ideas, thoughts, and dreams. But now that was all falling apart, his body, under no control of his own was spouting of every thing he had thought, said in his mind, from sarcastic remarks of orders to what he truly thought of every one on the ship. And eventually it would come upon the one thought that would ruin him… “Your fault Ridire....I hate you....you made me leave…” Travis’s thoughts fell silent. The one thing that had to have been stopped had just been said. Travis didn’t care any more. The damage had been done and eventually they’d find out what he said. Just a matter of time. And so figuring it might be the last time in a long time that he could sit and be free, he let him self be absorbed by the darkness again, no sound, no sight, no thought… (err actually scratch that...after recent digging this log is actually my 40th, but eh it's not that important)
  14. “Contemplations in the dark”…Kroells’s logs Darkness. He was surrounded by it. But he was afraid to move, afraid to hurt again. For the first time in a long time nothing hurt, neither his body nor his mind. Sitting here in this darkness was comforting; he could sit here all his life if he wanted to. “Travis, can you hear me?” Travis closed his mind’s eye, trying to ignore him. He didn’t want to wake up. Maybe just not yet any way. But against his own will the darkness slowly faded away and it hurt again, every thing. “Travis, you owe doctor here a big thank-you. He may have saved your life.” Travis groaned at that. Brian Smith saving his life. And the second whole sentence he hears when he woke was to thank him. He would do not such thing. Smith never even contemplated whether or not he wanted to wake up. Not once. But that’s how most doctors are. They like to take the ‘hard’ emergencies, to save the day and become a hero. There was only one problem with that, for them to be the healers, the heroes of the day people had to hurt, and die. Something entered his mind after deciding not to yell at Brian, the shuttle. That torpedo! It didn’t explode, but why was the question. He couldn’t remember any thing, from the mission, from the events before it. He strained to remember and piece by piece it began to come back. The scans, he took a scan of the torpedo right before gerb ran the shuttle into the Reaent. And that was why he was here. He had gotten up to take the scan. Instead of staying firm in his seat he got up, and before he could return to his seat he was thrown a good ten feet into the front of the shuttle. “The shuttle……didn’t….torpedo…explode.” Every word he tried to speak was slurred and backwards in the order of the sentence. He doubted that the doctors hanging over him would even understand him. Travis hoped they did because right now it hurt to do any thing, to think, to speak. His mind ran over what was in the scans. It didn’t explode because it wasn’t supposed to. A homing beacon…. He had to speak with Fred. Brian debated it for several minutes…Fred was unavailable. Travis raced over who would understand. “The second guy…” Brian turned to him again. Travis couldn’t remember his name…Ridire….Commander Aidan Ridire. “Commander Ridire…” Smith hit his commbadge. He was saying something that much was obvious. But Travis couldn’t string the words together. And before he knew it Smith pressed the hypo to his neck and he fell asleep, into the darkness again. He smiled again. No pain, no sight, no sound only himself and his thoughts. He moved, turned around in his own mind to see all there was to see, it hurt but not as much as it would have in the light. But doing so woke him a little. He couldn’t do any thing that would do that. That would wake him; take him out of this place again. Never again would he wake up. He’d fight it…..
  15. It's my belief that after "Regeneration" Enterprise documented it and all and sent it to star fleet where it was imediatly locked up and never seen again. Now dont take that as some answer to the actions of TNG and VOY but rather why they happened. As stated in Lo'ami's post, D did not know any thing about the borg, and for good reason. If starfleet clasified the event, which they most likely would we also have to believe that is wasnt unlocked later and told to captains and other high up people. If they did and most of the high ups in starfleet knew, then they would have created a defense fleet and such. And as for the hansens, well maybe they got a hold of Enterprises record of "Regeneration", or maybe they had herd of it, per se a secret cover up, that hundereds of years ago earth was atacked by these android like people called the borg. (Remember in "Regeneration" the borg hailed them and said their clasic borg speach") By either reading it them selves or hearing the acounts by a contact etc. they headed out to prove it. Because if it was true, then why wasnt the federation not doing anything to prepare?
  16. even though i actaully did graduate on my third sim. But hey, it must mean they think im good.
  17. “Red Reflection”…Kroells’s logs Travis watched the shuttle move in. Closer and closer to the Reaent’s docking bay. He watched gerb try to take it in, he saw him come in to high, to fast. It came in, the bottom of the nose of the shuttle slammed into the floor of the shuttle bay, and unlike the instant stop the shuttle had made when if crashed, the crew in the shuttle just kept on going. Travis flew forward roughly ten feet into the front of the console, his body turning around so that his right shoulder slammed into the edge of the console; his head whipping back from the force of the strike slammed into the panel itself. And for a second or two the world went black. His eyes opened into a blurry and painful world. His head felt like it had been hit with the broad side of a sledgehammer, which in retrospect probably wasn’t to far from the trauma his head received when he slammed his head into the panel at his station. He sat up slowly, hoping the slow movements wouldn’t cause too much pain, but they did. He turned his head to the panel, expecting to find the lights flashing, ready to receive an other command. But to his surprise the lights were out, the panel itself destroyed, the glass cracked and shattered in several different places. He knew he had to but he didn’t want to. Travis slowly brought his hand to the back of his head, the intense pain that he felt just too slightly touch it. It was unbearable. He gently felt the area, finally coming across something sharp. He winced as he grabbed hold of it, and pulled. A small piece of glass, until several moments ago imbedded into his scalp was pulled out along with several hunks of dirty blonde, now soaked red hair. Travis took the piece in his hand and tossed it away with his right hand, a movement he regretted. For just when he thought he could deal with the pain in his head his shoulder stood up, to out stage his head in the intense pain game. It hurt so much, but he knew his objective, he remembered what had happened just before the shuttle crash, the torpedo that hit the shuttle but didn’t explode. He had to tell the captain. And so with the pain that followed Travis slowly got up and stumbled out of the shuttle and into the shuttle bay. Several crewmen and lower ensigns looked at him, at his war torn face, his head bleeding out, and finally his shoulder. And that’s where they stopped and stared. For unknown to Travis the intensity of his injury was worse then even he could imagine. The back of his uniform now stained with a large dark red stain in the vicinity of his shoulder told the tale. The small area where there was no uniform, it ripped off by the jagged edge that did this. The jagged edge that had caused a three inch cut right along the shoulder blade, it went deep, so deep in fact that a small with line was visible where the cut was. The edge had cut through his muscle and flesh, all the way down to the bone where it even left a little scratch. He unsteadily entered the turbo lift and headed up to the bridge. The door quickly opened a result of the engineer’s excellent work. He stumbled onto the bridge, his shoulder bleeding still; it now had soaked through the uniform and was sliding down his arm. He wearily told the captain of the situation. Ridire said something to him but it was a slur, Travis couldn’t make out what he said so he stumbled something together to reply. He looked around, the bridge staff looking at him oddly. Travis looked down to his arm and saw the first red drop of blood fall of his finger. A red reflection of his lower torso shone as is hit the carpet, staining it a dark red. Travis slowly started to sway, the adrenaline that had gotten him up here had wore off. He couldn’t keep him self up, and so with a painful thud, Travis Kroells hit the ground, unconscious.
  18. Yes heading to a sim and watching it in action is one of the best things to do, when it's taking an additional sim or just starting fresh from the academy. All the sims here play at different speeds, if all of the ships were given the same plot several would finish far ahead of the others. And that in its self is a good thing. It's hard for a person who likes sims that go at an agresive, fast pace and get through plot quickly to play a slower ship that takes more time. I my self prefer the slower sims. While there's nothing wrong with ships that get done with plots faster I realy like being able to actually read and understand a conversation between two people on other sides of the ship. So in retrospect visiting a sim once or twice before you make the choice to join is one of teh most important things you can do. Not only do you begin to familiarize with the crew, you get a feel for how the sim is played every week.
  19. Whats the difference? And if you do know, which one are you? I personaly dont know so i cant vote on my own poll untill some one explains the difference!
  20. Yes I started out at one and several months ago joined one more. I figured it would be fun. But unfortunetly it's harder then it seems. I offten read the chat log at least twice before both of my sims to get my barrings strait. And if thats odd try writing logs. I tell you its hard. And while 3,4 or 5 sims is doable it's deffinetly not enjoyable. And thats what simming is all about. Our common love of trek and our atempt to live out that love in a chat room. If you dont enjoy a sim you need to drop it. Many people think they can ride it out but inturn that stuborness to quit offten destroys them and ruins their simming career. The second you relize you cant remeber something big that happend in a sim (I.e. character leaveing, captain missing) you know you have to much on you plate.
  21. man how can we discuss this with out it geting locked....Oh how much is the difference between a trekkie's special big mac and a trekker's?
  22. I chose the origanal because i love the thought of ramming it with an other ship and watching it explode in a card bordy fire.
  23. Actually in Norwood-young america (where i live) the local mcdonalds charges (Ahem) exactly $4.04 dollars for a Big mac meal. Yes I work there. Yes Im 15. Yes i realize that right now vanroy is laughing his ass off reading this post.
  24. “An undeniable possibility”…Kroells’s logs Travis watched Geovanie weave the shuttle up and down out of the waves. The young Lt. Seemed preoccupied, or rather to much in doubt that this mission would succeed. He was worried and Travis could see it. Maybe because Ridire wasn’t here and because of it Travis was placed in command of the away mission, or maybe just because of the nature of the mission it self. But there wasn’t much he could do; it wasn’t like he could pat him on the back and say, “Hey its ok nothings going to happen.” Well he could but he’d be lying to ensign gerb and Revolone. Travis had already voiced his concern about leaving enough room for the trailing cable as for it not to be caught in the mysterious waves that were too much for the Reaent to handle. Travis sighed as he went over what could happen if the cable it self got caught in a wave while it was being dragged behind. In the best case the shuttle by a miracle of bad modifications on the engineer’s part would just cause the cable to rip out of the mounting placed on the back of the shuttle. He doubted that the engineers didn’t test the structure that held the cable at least 3 or 4 times, no he knew it. Lt. McLean was not one to let something like that happen. And that was what worried Travis. After the unlikely possibility of the cable just “coming out” the structure it just got worse. The next best or worst in some eyes would simply have the modified structure on the back of the shuttle just rip off. Well that’s bad in many a sense the idea that entered right after his last one took the cake. In Travis’s mind just about the worst thing that could happen would be that at the speeds that the shuttle were currently traveling at, and if the cable was caught in a wave and wasn’t ejected from the shuttle, well the whip lash effect would be enough to most likely tare the shuttle in two. It was the departed Garnoopy’s last act on this ship in fact. Both he and Kroells had discussed the possibility of something like that happening. At the touch of a button the cable could be disengaged but of course something like that would take time and well, it would be too slow if used for an unexpected wave. But Travis knew that all of these were undeniable possibilities, but he also knew that if he told the away team what might happen they’d probably lose it. He wasn’t afraid to say they were fresh. But either way he had to work with them. And so the shuttle slowly weaved up and down towards the mysterious moon they had been sent to find.
  25. Enterprise...I cant say its my favorite but it's growing on me fast. I like the way the season's end took a more serious and peril turn. Even if im still confused how archer got so cheesed at tucker on the coigenter episode and on the next one completly forget about it!
