  1. NO STAR WARS DISCUSSION WHITHIN THESE WALLS. This is a public service announcement brought to you by... who knows.
  2. Once answered, followup: Did she authorize me (Whiskers) to ask these questions? It's usually a good idea to ask before posing questions.
  3. Can we have it earlier? Please?
  4. Gene Roddenberry envisioned a dream of space travel. He envisioned we would see new life and new civilizations. Warp drive may not be feasible now, but he envisioned that it could be possible to attain faster-than-light travel. But more importantly, he envisioned that most races and life forms could co-exist. And Startrek was the result.
  5. I think Vanroy deserves this. Squeeze harder Ruca. ;)
  6. Plus, look at Moose's tips. There really good. There even helpful for the experienced simmers.
  7. lol. but seriously guys, let's be less disgusting and actually help Kate? I'm in a bad mood right now. Anyway, Kate, you can find when the Academy's are by clicking on the Schedule page and when the time comes go to the Chat page of startrek.com and then click on the Holodeck link. (I'm not going to get the hyperlink on Holodeck because it's too long) You WILL need a Startrek.com membership to enter. ;)
  8. Okay. Time to drop the thread folks. Please. I'll will even formally request that this be dropped if it will not be dropped right now. So, drop it.
  9. Nope. I'm here just because I want to sim. (mostly) ;)
  10. I put too much old's. There were only supposed to be one and there were three! Sorry folks if I made you look bad.
  11. very true, Zertz.
  12. Sorry guys, I was late getting to the forum but I decided it was too late to enter. Maybe next week.
  13. I usually have salmon at Red Lobster.
  14. HEAR HEAR! Any way, Kate, just telling you that There is no Place like STSF. Period. By the way, I was copying a little from "There is no Place like Nebraska" but who cares?
  15. Okay, folks. Vanroy is clearly trying to say to us (and so is A9, Fred, and Sovak) is that we need to drop this thread and just let them be. ;)
  16. I have another computer, Vanroy, which is as old as 1988! Plus it has no modem, the CD-ROM drive is shot, it only has a 486 (one of the pre-Pentium proccesors), and it only has 8 MB of RAM, which means you can't run most anything on it!
  17. I'm on a different computer today, but when I'm on my main computer, I have an external modem. That means you can actually slam it and not the computer when the Internet is not working. 'Course if it's IE, Netscape (especially 7.1), MSN (best chance of locking up all the time), then I do it to the computer.
  18. Agreed, Fred. Also if there was something wrong with the site, this term applies, "If you can't fix it..." I think you can figure out the rest.
  19. Welcome, Kate. Work hard at the Academy! Trust me.
  20. Always worked for me. When I give advice to people, I say, "If all else fails, get out the sledge hammer or get a strong person to destroy your computer." In other words, "If all else fails, I can't help you."
  21. This is just a suggestion, but, if the board was to be upgraded, if any need arised, could you like, put Startrek.com's logo all over the place? Or STSF's? We can't have too much logos!! ;) I'm just kidding, but I think it should be just left how it is. It's just fine for me. And for most other people, it's just fine for them too. 'Course there are those people ::gives "the look" to those people:: who always want change. Now. People just got to realize that even though technology changes every day, it takes a long while for the real world to catch up. So, people, don't be a changling. Be a stayputer. By the way, the logo suggestion was an example of a person who always want's change.
  22. Or if you have problems with both of them, take a slege hammer and bash the computer to pieces MWHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA! j/k
  23. Well, it just makes the boards look better if we don't have it on the left side. ::can't believe I just said that ;) ::
  24. I've made my FINAL decision on a avatar. This picture is Main Street Plattsmouth from what I'm guessing from the 1980's. Old, old,old but it's the only one I could find. It will be up in a few minutes.
