  1. CMO> ::Takes this opportunity, since the zapped Klingon is the familiar one:: Uh, may I tend to that?
  2. Right. Shoreleave is about resting. And yes, Moosie, we are talking about the same Vegas. I've been there several times and I say, BORING. It might be exciting the first, maybe the second time, but once you've seen the shows over and over, the "attractions", the casinos, etc, its just like being in Glouster, Ohio. OK, I guess what Im trying to say is that when we meet somewhere is should be somewhere dead center of us all to curtail travel cost, large enough to accommodate us all, and pleasing to the wallet. To me, Vegas doesnt fit that bill. Baltimore was cool because there was also something "Trekkie" going on and it was fun just to hang out. I know. Im no fun. ::Shrug::
  3. Winter (WHOOPEE!!)
  4. The last time I was in Vegas and passed the endless slot machines and pool halls, my next question was "So, when are we going to DO something?" Theres not THAT much to do in Vegas...well, that doesnt require large amounts of cash. When we have shoreleave, we should do it to enjoy each others company, not drain the bank accounts.
  5. Dad (He was an auto mechanic)
  6. Now its a Catagory 5, 165 MPH winds
  7. Im glad you escaped and are in such high spirits. Keep them up. Things can be replaced. You, however, cannot. =0]
  8. Yeah, what Grom said! Happy B-Day, Tach! =0]
  9. ::Sigh:: I guess that means its staying in Vegas? Well, yall have a good time. Send me some pictures. =0]
  10. A Cruise? Well, Ive never been on a cruise ship. That would be neat. Just let me know far enough ahead of time so's I ken save. Are there any "Star Trek" based cruises? heh heh...
  11. This is true. I know its too early, but the weather channel is hoping for the worst...I mean, they keep saying they expect it to hit places they cant even traject yet. ::sigh::
  12. Yes, whats this..this..THING we all have against kids? I mean, I dont have any, but Im sure MOST of YOU all do...heh heh. Chicago is OK, but its...HUGE! Too much traffic and congestion. Florida is OK too, but its...BUGGY and filled with GATORS. Ew. I would say lets have it in Columbus Ohio in August! Theres a convention that meets right around the same time and the Ohio State Fair is up and running in that time too. Also, there are plenty of pools. Theres Wyandote Lake, the Columbus Zoo, and the Convention center with plenty to do on down time. You can also travel on an off day (If you want) to Kings Island or The Beach, which is always a blast, of you like that sort of thing. Ill get more info, if anyone is interested. We also have plenty of inexpensive hotels in the downtown area or in the burbs. Hey, Ohio is neutral. And you CAN gamble...just buy you some scratch offs... ::sees Dac roll her eyes:: WELL!!

  14. Woman: "Yeah, I see what you mean. The Moose are eating her begonias. But that one in the Starfleet uniform either doesnt care or is not paying attention. He almost looks...spaced out..." Man: "Not in the fields, Virginia! Across the courtyard! Into that other apartment! Sheesh."
  15. OK, all I have to say is I KNOW its price gouging. They try to blame it on Katrina, but, like Dumbass has said, this was going on way before the storm hit. What was the excuse then? The war? HA! I call bogus! Scam! Fraud! Fake! And...all those other theft-described words. =0] Im paying 2.98 or there abouts, here in Ohios capital. Im running out of 20's to fill my tank. Im surprised the buses havent jacked up their prices.
  16. CMO> ::notices others are watching her, gets up and steps over towards the familiar Klingon:::

  22. The storm is devistating. And the after math is horrific. Not to be morbid, but consider wading through your back yard and a corpse floats by. Stuff like this is going to happen there soon, if it hasnt already. Water is undrinkable. Bathrooms are non-existant. No showers. No getting a drink from the fridge or frying up an egg or whatever. Where are people sleeping? How well are they eating? Can you imagine getting a kit of blankets, toothpaste, shampoo and whatever from a red cross truck? Well, its reality there now. Lets hope they can bring it back to civilization, another amenity that has been threatened.
  23. So glad I could help. It was unofficial (I made that very clear), but we had a good time. Glad to see you back this week, though. =0]
