  1. Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 17 September 2021 11 August 2388 - Stardate 2388.224 TBS is 0, the time is 13:00 (1:00 pm) Aegis Local Science and Engineering are watching an unusual phenomenon that could interfere with the creation of a stable warp field. A blue bubble surrounding the station is unevenly distributed and might cut us off from outside contact except subspace communication. The Aegean and its crew has gone to investigate and confirm information from the Dike Slayton. The area has remained stable. Aegean comes close to the Deke Sayton and holds them 0.5 AU from the estimated epicenter. A decision is made to send a torpedo toward the bubble and disrupt the phenomenon. The torpedo is sent toward the bubble’s center. A delayed but massive explosion sends a shock wave that rocks Aegean and sets off alarms. Oops…

  6. Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 3 September 2021 11 August 2388 - Stardate 2388.224 TBS is 24 hours the time is o700 hours (7.00 am) Aegis Local The Ferengi Ambassador Drankum has come to examine the new station. Science and Engineering are watching an unusual phenomenon that is interfering with the creation of a stable warp field. So far a blue bubble that surrounds the station is unevenly distributed. However, it might encroach on the immediate volume around Aegis, cut us off from any outside contact other than subspace communication, and disrupt equipment that relies on sustained subspace fields. If the bubble is only a few AU in radius, ships can still approach and depart. Subspace comms should be unaffected. However, if the bubble approaches a light-year or more in radius, ships would have no way of reaching Aegis. At this moment, Aegis is not in any immediate danger. We will keep Starfleet Command informed.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 27 August 2021 10 August 2388 - Stardate 2388.223 TBS is 5 hours the time is 1600 hours (4:00 pm) Aegis Local A phenomenon is interfering with the creation of stable warp fields near Aegis. The science ship Deke Slayton has arrived to assist with a more detailed investigation. The phenomenon could disrupt equipment that relies on sustained subspace fields. Moving Aegis into subspace might have been a disruptive event. It’s possible that triggered changes within subspace around us. Engineering, science, and the Deke Slayton are working together.
  8. Between Worlds Captain Chirakis Captain d’Ka Captain Je’rit d’Ka, the commanding officer of USS Missouri, is not often seen on Aegis except in Command and Control. He is Sindarin, one of the very few of his species allowed outside Sindar territory. He is also the only one attached to Starfleet Command, and the one who commands the USS Missouri, the USS Iowa, the USS Calgary, and the USS Toronto. Occasionally he appeared with Captain Chirakis, his bond mate, in a private room at Chez Antonio. Sometimes they discussed information in Kirel’s office. Today it was Chez Antonio for a long talk and more than one drink of Romulan ale. “You are extremely focused, Kh’éile*,” Kirel implied as she set her drink aside and leaned on the table. For some reason, Je’rit was completely focused in a way she had never seen. To her, he was obviously thinking, and, as a Sindarin, the color of his pupils changed from lavender, to blue, then to a deep hazel hue as he concentrated. “Extremely focused Kh’éile?” d’Ka asked without turning. “I would say intensely is a more appropriate word. Or perhaps curious, wondering how you went into… then came out of subspace.” He waited for her answer, and when she did not answer he turned to face her. “I have no idea, Je’rit. Have you an answer to the question?” “I do not.” He leaned back with a sigh. “Very well. We do not have an answer, but we do have a theory.” That stopped him cold. “A theory?” “Yes, a theory, but it is not mine.” ________________________ Kh’éile* - The formal word for bond-mate

Science vessels are en route for a more detailed investigation. We do not know if the warp field is caused naturally or artificially. Depending on the intensity of the phenomenon, it could disrupt equipment that relies on sustained subspace fields. If the bubble is only a few AU in radius, it is an inconvenience. Ships can still approach and depart on impulse. The science ship Deke Slayton has arrived and could provide additional readings. Lts Jim Pine and Hank Slym, high level recon security operatives, have been released from medical and will rest in their quarters for a few more days. The four tall, hefty men, tattooed from head to toe and tied up beards had almost killed Pine and Slym, but were now incarcerated and would be there for a very long time… unless Kakra, their leader, tried to release them, and that would never happen.

Their aim is to form a cordon around the Joint Allied Powers, take over Aegis, and use it as a staging ground to conquer the Federation and the Joint Allied Powers. 14. Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 13 August 2021 9 August 2388 - Stardate 2388.222 TBS is 6 hours, the time is 0400 (04:00) Aegis Local From Commander Scott Coleridge, Executive Officer, Sky Harbor Aegis To Captain Chirakis, SI-5, Commanding Officer, Sky Harbor Aegis To Starfleet Command via Subspace Portal We have been experiencing an unusual new phenomenon that is interfering with the creation of a stable warp field in the vicinity of Aegis. So far a blue bubble that surrounds the station is not evenly distributed. Some vessels can get through easily, but the phenomenon might encroach on the immediate volume around Aegis. If that grows too large it would effectively cut us off from any outside contact other than subspace communication. Depending on the intensity of the phenomenon, it could disrupt equipment that relies on sustained subspace fields like the FTL processors in the computer systems. Subspace comms should be unaffected because long-range communications happen through a different effect. If the bubble is only a few AU in radius, it is an inconvenience. Ships can still approach and depart on impulse. If the bubble approaches a light-year or more in radius, ships would have no way of reaching Aegis. Their warp field would collapse as they approach, but they would be too far away to reach us on impulse in any practical period of time. Some of this is speculation, since we don't have a full comprehension of what the effect is doing. At this moment, Aegis is not in any immediate danger. We would have plenty of time to evacuate. We will keep you informed. Commander Scott Coleridge Executive Officer, Sky Harbor Aegis
