Background:
Much of Captain J'cins history remains unknown, as it spans several centuries. What is known comes from either the captain himself, or those he has interacted with. What is known is this:
Captain J'cin was born in paris towards the end of the 18th century. He joined the King's musketeers (the guardians of the king in that day) and rose to the rank of captain, a distinguished position. He met and married a young courtier, and adopted 2 children. When revolution broke out, his family home was burned to the ground, and his family hung by the people of france. J'cin himself was hung days later, but thanks to an evolutionnary abberration, found only in small numbers of humans, he survived. He trained under a great swordsman (who later came to be known as the late Adm. Matthew Boison, starfleet intelligence) and fought against others of his kind in a battle of survival.
It is here that the records of J'cin break off, only sporatically linked to the ruthless madman called only Saturn. His affiliation with this individual is a closely guarded secret.
Captain J'cin joined the USS Excalibur after a tour in Starfleet academy as an ensign. He served there until his promotion to Lt. Commander, when he was assigned command of the USS Saigon, as a field captain. His command stint hit an abrupt halt, when he was attacked by his first officer. The first officer was killed by the captain in self defense, but the situation resulted in J'cins demotion to Lt(jg) for his inability to find a peaceful solution. No charges of foul play were ever assigned him, as the evidence is clear that he acted in his own defence.
J'cin rose quickly back through the ranks, and became assigned as a commander under the newly appointed Vice admiral Wayne day, commanding officer, USS Excalibur. He then was promoted to captain for meritorious service to the fleet, and made official commanding officer of the Excalibur. Vice Admiral Day remains on the ship, enjoying flagship status, and as such J'cin maintains official XO status, and has not appointed a ship's XO to ensure the crew understand his unquestioned loyalty to Admiral Day.
