  5. Back to Betazed Pt. 2 Note, this was set in Aliana's journey to Betazed for the arrival of her new baby sister. It was set between the 8/8/08 sim, and the 8/15/08 sim. Aliana ran outside as she heard a transport arriving. She jumped the fence and ran out to the transport as it opened. Her mother and father climbed out, and her mother was holding what looked like a wrapped up blanket. Aliana stopped for a second before running up to them. Her mother smiled and leaned forward so Aliana could look at what was in the blanket. She stopped short and looked into the face of the most adorable looking baby she had ever seen. She had dark, dark hair and dark eyes. Her pointed ears stuck out of her soft hair and her tiny hands stuck out and grabbed some of Aliana’s hair. Aliana’s mouth fell open slightly and she stood there, motionless as she watched the tiny girl. Her mother offered her to Aliana and she took her, looking down at her as the tiny Vulcan baby became absorbed with her hair. Her mother touched her shoulder and murmured, “Her name is Ilea.” That evening Aliana held the baby and watched her as she begun to fall asleep. Earlier cooing adults had surrounded the small child, but now she was falling asleep and Aliana had volunteered to put her to bed. She smiled as she looked down at her sleeping sister. “I have been looking forward to meeting you Ilea.” Ilea looked at her and then closed her eyes, determined to fall asleep no matter what happened. Aliana sat there thinking about her. It was amazing. She had been around small children all her life, but this was different. She didn’t know why but it was. She smiled softly and stood up quietly, setting her new sister down in her crib before taking on last look at her and tiptoeing out. She felt overwhelmed by the events of that day. She walked into her room and opened her window, and watched the three moons rising in the dark sky. She leaned against her wall as she watched. She saw a nighthwind cross the sky and she stood up as she watched it. She grabbed a candle and match before tucking it into a coat, which she then put on. She tiptoed downstairs and out the door. She ran through the quiet garden and climbed over the gate. She began to run again, this time towards the forest that surrounded most of lake Norala. She entered and soon begun to walk instead. She walked through the forest until she reached a trail with a small shrine by it. She walked up to the shrine and lit the candle. She waved out the match and stuck it in her pocket before sitting cross-legged in front of it. She closed her eyes and let the sounds of the forest fill her as he cleared her head of all thought’s and concentrated on her breathing. Then as she relaxed she brought up one topic that she had been thinking about for weeks, her little sister. She begun to meditate on the topic and think about how it would affect her. She thought how she could visit home and have someone to talk to. She thought how, in that brief moment when she first saw her, she was filled with love for Ilea. She smiled and breathed in and out as she thought of that love. She thought about it for an hour before slowly opening her eyes and watching the candle burn. She licked her fingers and pinched the candle out. The small light was put out and the forest was filled with darkness once more, only to be illuminated by the glow of the stars and three moons that filled the sky. She sat there in the darkness and watched the plants around her. Then she slowly stood and picked the candle up. She carried it back through the forest, walking slowly to see all she could. She wandered through the woodland and soon reached the lake. She looked over it and saw her house in the distance. She walked towards it and soon was climbing over the garden fence again. As she tiptoed into the house and up the stairs she thought of her little sister, and then stopped outside her door. She cracked it open and peeked in to see Ilea sleeping there, so peaceful. Aliana smiled and walked in. She sat down by Ilea and watched her until she drifted off and slept. “It is difficult to go,” Aliana said. “When Ilea, gets older you must visit the station. I would love to see her again.” “Of course we will Aliana.” Ilea looked up at Aliana and touched some of her purple brown hair. She made a small noise and then put her hand down and closed her eyes. Aliana smiled and shifted her bag on her shoulder. Then she turned to her cousin Nuralia. “Alright. Well if you need any info on my bridesmaid dress then contact me on the Aegis. Though I doubt I will grow.” Nuralia smiled, “Not by my wedding at least. I can’t wait to see you again cousin.” Aliana smiled and hugged them all. Then she set off down the road to the town. “I am definitely going to walk,” she murmured, “definitely.”
  6. Back to Betazed Pt. 1 Note, this was set in Aliana's journey to Betazed for the arrival of her new baby sister. It was set between the 8/8/08 sim, and the 8/15/08 sim. Aliana hoisted her bag over her shoulder as she stepped of the transport ship. She looked around for a second and then walked towards the shuttle bay. She stepped inside and gave her ticket to the Woman there. The woman then pointed to the third shuttle in the bay. It read The Cairo on it. Aliana walked over to it and climbed in. She sat down next to a woman with a small child. The woman smiled at her and Aliana greeted her and the child with a grin. She watched out the window as it flew over Betazed and away from Dalaria. Soon it begun to swoop down towards another bay. It landed and Aliana waved goodbye to the woman and child while stepping out. She breathed in and grinned. It was great to be home again. She begun to walk towards the transport center, but then stopped. ‘I should just walk. It would be wonderful.’ Aliana turned and checked out and then walked down the road, turning at the third crossroad and begun to walk towards her destination. She smiled and bounced up and down as she walked. She looked at the trees, flowers, and other fauna as she walked. The shade mixed with sunlight made it pleasant to stroll down the path. She passed a stream and a group of children playing ball. They waved to her as she passed and she waved back. After thirty minutes of walking she stopped. She had just turned a corner and was now faced with a beautiful lake. “Lake Norala,” she murmured under her breath. “It is even more beautiful then I remembered.” She begun to walk again, walking under the covering of trees by the lake. Soon a beautiful house came into view. It was rather large and had very intricate windows and doors. It was surrounded by an enormous garden and many blooming trees surrounded it. She smiled as she looked at it and begun to pick up her pace. Soon she was walking up the path to the house. She opened the gate and walked through the beautiful garden to the front door. She opened the door quietly and closed it with the smallest noise possible. She began to tiptoe through the front area towards the white staircase. She began to climb up the stairs, but suddenly a cry echoed through the area and someone pulled her down from the stairs and into a tight hug. Someone else also began to hug her, and to add to it a cat jumped onto her visible shoulder and began to rub its head on her face. She laughed and hugged them back. She then untangled herself from them and grinned. Her mother and father beamed at her and kissed her on the cheek. “We wondered if we even had a daughter,” said her mother with a smile. “Oh you do, just a very sneaky one,” Aliana said laughing as she said it. She looked at her parents, and saw that they hadn’t changed much. Her mother and father were both still extremely tall and their hair had only a slight tint of grey to it. Her mother’s spots were as light as ever, and her father had that look of laughter to his eyes. Her cat jumped off of her and trotted away. Her cat, Nilla, named after one of her best friends, had beautiful black fur, with white and orange spots. Her tail was held erect as she pranced off and her dark noise looked beautiful with her dark, dark eyes. “Is grandmamma here yet?” “Not yet, but she should be arriving soon, with her husband and your cousins in tow. Your aunts and uncles are also coming and so is your niece.” “It’s times like these that I enjoy our large house,” her father said with a grin. Aliana was climbing the stairs to the 2nd floor, where her room was. She opened the door and looked around. It had been cleaned and the windows were open to air it out. Her bookshelf was empty and her dresser untouched, but she still recognized it all. She grinned and dropped her bag on the window seat. She spun around and stopped. She then walked over to her desk with her communications window. “Open message to Lillian Belar and Leilani Feretti, Sky Harbor Aegis. From Aliana Lucindak. Begin message. “Hi Leilani, Lillian. I have just arrived on Betazed. It only took me one day, so I most likely have 4 days to be here before catching the next transport back. Betazed is blooming and beautiful right now. I wish you could see it. I am thinking of stopping by Madara city. Is there anything either of you want me to pick up? I can’t wait to see my new little sister! I will send you some pictures once I get some. How are things on the Aegis? Well I better get going, I have to unpack and get something to eat. Ta-Ta! End message. Computer send message.” Aliana grinned and looked back around her room. Then she got up, stretched and grabbed her bag. Aliana was tromping downstairs after unpacking when she heard a loud voice. “Aliana! Darling! It is so good to see you again! How is that post on the… Agree is it?” “Hi Grandmamma. It is actually Aegis and it is going well. Well other then the fact that I almost was killed a few weeks ago.” “Killed! My God! That is unacceptable, simply unacceptable! I demand you are reassigned to a safer post.” “But Grandmamma, it is… a safe post as post’s go. I swear I will not get killed.” “Hummff. Well be a dear and take my things upstairs.” “Yes Grandmamma.” Aliana tugged the large bag up the stairs smiling in her amusement. She dropped it off in one of the guest rooms and then went back downstairs. She entered the living room just as her Grandmamma was finished talking about her new cat. “--such a darling. Well, when do you plan on feeding us? I have not made the long journey from Trill just to be starved.” “Well Mother, I was planning on serving dinner when the others get here. Granted Aunt Jerisa won’t be here until tomorrow but--” “Well, they can just join us when we are done!” “Mother this is my house and I do the arrangements.” “Fine. But if I die from starvation it won’t be my fault, now will it?” “Grandmamma, would you like some fruit,” Aliana said, cutting in before her mother got into another argument. “Indeed I would child,” her Grandmamma said. “Now that’s how you do it,” she said to Aliana Mother. Aliana left the room just as her mother began to say a few words to her Grandmamma. ‘Yep. The same as always.’ To be continued….

  21. Sharing the Love "ACHOO!" Aliana sneezed and grabbed another tissue. She was huddled on her bed with the temperature blazing. Earlier that day Aliana had gone for a swim before coming back to her quarters to get ready for the new opening party of the diplomatic wing. When she had arrived she was overcome with nausea and stayed in her bathroom for 5 minutes before coming out. A headache ensued and she cursed as she ran back to her bathroom. She pieced together that she got food poisoning, most likely from some bad cheese she had. So now she was on her bed resting after a quick treatment. "I dan't believe dis," she mumbled. "What dar de oddthes?" She sniffed and shuffled over to her console. "Domputher, pleath dithplay all dew methages." "Please Repeat Command," the computer replied. "Dithplay messtheges." "Please Repeat Command." Aliana grumbled and shuffled away before returning with some hot lemonade and proceeding manually. "No new messages." Aliana sighed and suddenly the console beeped. "On pl—never minthd," she said as she pressed a button and a picture of her cousin came up. "Hi Aliana! How are you?" "Thi Nuralthia." "Oh wow Ali, you sound terrible!" "I dow, I tink I have thood poisoning." "Oh no!" "Thit's ok. I thould feel better sthoon." "Ok. I hope you don't get food poisoning by my wedding." Aliana smiled and replied, "I thon't let mythelf." "Well, maybe I should contact you later." "Oh tho. I thant somethone to thalk tho." "Alright. How are you on your new post?" "Ith's great. I althready made a few friends." "Well, you never had trouble with that." "Tanks. I met thome of them at Red thar lounthe." "Cool." "Yep. Ith's fun." "What else has been happening." "Well, a thew weeks ago, I was on a athay team that wath attacked by 8472 thips." "Oh my god. Are you ok?" "Yep. I remether me anthd two others were attacked by thone in a corridor. Thankfully we kthilled it." "I am glad." "The only thing was one of them was thouched by the 8472 and had tho cut this tharm off," she said, sounding tragically unscientific. "Oh my god. How is he now?" "He got reassigned to another post." "That sounds horrible!" "It thas. At least we didn't die." "That's you Ali, trying to look on the bright side. Always's sharin' the love." "Hehe, tanks Nurathia." Nuralia turned around and wrinkled her nose before turning back to Aliana. "Ali I am sorry but I have to go." "It this fine. Bye." "Bye!" The screen went black and the computer closed it down. Aliana walked back over to her bed and laid down in it. "Heh, that thas nice."
