  1. I personally have not latched on to Twitter or Facebook, for fear of causing another internet addiction.
  2. Aliana walked down the streets of Betazeds capital. She wore a long dark red skirt, and a cream colored blouse, with flats. Her blond hair was loose, and she walked with Nilla, who was in a pink floral blouse and dark skirt. They stopped in front of the university of Betazed. "'Kay, see you later," said Nilla, with a wave, before starting off again. Aliana walked inside the main building. Groups of people were trickling in for the seminar. She walked up to the table by the door. "Lucindak, Aliana," she said, glancing around. The woman nodded, and handed her a pass. She took it, clipping it on, before wandering towards a corner. She leaned against the wall, watching the other people talk. Most were scientists or doctors, here for the seminar, which would go into many aspects of other species biochemistry, using research from a 100 year long study of differing effects on different species, including Human, Trill, Betazoid, Bajoran, Klingon, Vulcan, and Andorian. Aliana was fiddling with her hair, when someone tapped on her shoulder. She turned around, and her face fell. Erlong Pulosx stood in front of her. "What the frak do you want," she asked, glaring at him. "I told you before, we have nothing to talk about." "Yes we do Aliana, Imnar--" "Don't," she hissed. "Talk about him to me. I loved Imnar. The only reason he is dead, was because of a stupid accident, and one that I should have seen coming. I as good as killed him, and I am not going to talk to you about Imnar." "He was reckless. That was not your fault," he said, frowning. "Why didn't we notice? He was depressed, and was struggling not to fall, and we didn't notice! I will not forgive myself for that." "Your still the same Aliana," he said. "Why do you keep throwing yourself through this? I was closer to my brother, then anyone, if anything, I should have seen it coming." "Maybe..." She stopped glaring at him. The other Betazoids in the room turned to her. "Ma'am," one asked. "Are you alright?" Aliana grimaced. She had been channeling her emotions. "Fine," she said, holding them back. She turned to Erlong. "I can't blame you, but I can myself, and I can't, can't, talk about Imnar." Erlong watched her. "I am sorry, Aliana." "Erlong," she said, looked down at him. "Keep in touch with me... I think, I think knowing that someone understands that is going to make it, going to make less hard to bear." He nodded. "You're still the same Aliana." He walked off, back out of the building. Aliana bit her lip, and took a minute to calm down. People started to enter the auditorium, and she followed, keeping up the rear. 6 hours later Aliana sat on her bed in Nilla's apartment. She had been going over some of the things of Imnars. They had been at her parents house, but she had gotten them. Most of the things were just pins, one of them was his pin from the marines, but there were some pictures. One, showed Aliana, her hair longer, but still blond, grinning and standing next to Imnar. He had dark hair, and darker eyes, and was grinning as well. She bit her lip, and took the pictures and some of the pins out, putting them in her bag. The rest, she kept in the box. She would be heading back to Aegis in a day, but this time, instead of trying to get away from her past, she would try to keep it.
  3. Aliana waited inline to get off the shuttle. She had boarded after her transport landed in Betazed, and was outside the capital. She looked rather tired, her dirty blond hair was limp, and she was wearing BDU's, combat boots, and a brown tank top under a coat, wool and the same color as her BDU's, with the collar upturned. She finally made it out of the landing bay, and out into the open, when she heard someone yell. "Hey! Tall blond woman with the combat boots!" Aliana turned to look for who was calling her, her duffle smacking her in the side, when someone tapped her elbow. She looked down to see a woman, standing at about 4'3". "Aliana," she said, grinning, her dark hair pulled back. Aliana gasped and hugged her. "Essmina! It's good to see you!" She let her go and grinned down at her. "It's been a while." "Yeah a while, 3 years. It's like, you get assigned to a ship, and you never visit! Well, I see you now. By the way, nice hair. You cut it!" Essmina pulled her out. "Nilla is looking for you. She said the seminar time was changed to tomorrow at 1200 hours, so you will have time to sleep in. And it looks like you need it." Essmina peered up at her. "You look horrible." Aliana snorted. "Just a little trouble sleeping. I told you about that sickness I got, right" "Right, the betazoid virus that made you lose your ability to sense emotions and thoughts? What about it?" "Well, it took a while to adjust to having them again. It was almost 2 weeks before they came back." She wrinkled her nose. "No matter really. Where is Nil?" Essmina grinned. "In her rather fancy penthouse. I mean, you become a quadrant famous designer, and suddenly you get the best house. Oh well. Anyways, she really wants to catch up with you, and show you some new stuff you came up with. Oh, and she has some stuff for you, though it may be to small..." They walked down the street, until they reached a tall apartment. After entering, and taking the stairs, they finally got to the penthouse. The lobby to it was white, with marble, but on the walls there were incredibly colorful abstract paintings, and designs for clothing that had been brought out. She walked to the door, but it swung open. "Ah! Al!" A woman with red hair, tinted with blond, threw herself at Aliana. She hugged her and stood back. She was 5 inches shorter then Aliana, with 4 inch heels on, and also wore long black pants and a cream color blouse. She looked at her and her face fell. "Oh no..." "What?" she asked, looking worried. "I think I got your measurements wrong.... oh well... I'll fix them later." Aliana held back the urge to burst into histerical laughter. "Thank goddess. I thought someone died." She walked into the apartment and coughed. "Wow... I guess you really are famous." The apartment was painted a merlot red, and had another set of penciled clothing designs and paintings on the walls. The furniture was white, and on very glossy hardwood floors, and a full wall window looked out onto the capital. Nilla tossed her very soft red hair. "Yes," she said, making a pose with a look of mock superiority on her face. "It was great. I started out in the academy, dropped out, and designed my own fashion line. Not exactly saving the quadrant or something, but still successful in of itself. "Now, Ali, I need to know, everything, that has been going on. Ever since you set off on that station move I haven't gotten a drop of info." Ali sighed and sat down on the couch, dropping the duffle down. "Ok, um, well, I got a life threatening illness." Nilla looked at her. "I hate you sometimes. Why in frak's name didn't you tell me about -that-??" "Um... I don't really know... my apologies. Anyways, apparently, the disease temporarily removed my telepathic and empathic abilities. And for some reason I can't remember what I did for 3 days.... I am going to have to ask someone about that," she said, fiddling with a piece of her hair. Nilla flicked a piece of something off of one of her fingernails and looked at Aliana. "Well, sounds interesting. Move a station, get a disease. This is the reason I left starfleet." Aliana chuckled. "Yeah, not really your thing, I would imagine." Nilla chuckled as well. "Well," she said, clapping her hands together. "Do you want something to eat, drink, wear," she said, eyeing Aliana's clothing. Aliana snorted. "There is no way you can talk me out of wearing these, and something to drink would be fine." Nilla sighed, in mock disappointment. "Well, can't blame a girl for trying. Drink, sure thing." Aliana watched Nilla walk out. "How are your parents," she called. "Oh? There fine. At a conference on earth. Same with your parents." She came back in, carrying something turquoise. "Here," she said, handing her one. Aliana sipped it as Nilla continued to talk. "Oh... someone else is here too... Imn-- Imnar's brother..." Aliana stopped short of sipping the drink. "What is he doing here?" "He came for shoreleave, and found out you were coming. He wants to talk to you." "We, have nothing to talk about. Imnar's dead, thats never going to change." Aliana stood, her face tight. "I am going to go take a shower." Nilla nodded, and picked up the undrunken drink. "Sure. Get some sleep too, you look like you need it." Aliana nodded. "I will."
  4. Happy belated birthday! From the illogical, to you. ~Ali
  5. Aliana was massaging her face while looking in her mirror. She stopped and shook her very choppy hair. "Huh... I think that haircut actually made it more droopy...." She grinned and turned around, exiting her room and then her quarters to head to LeMorte's. The previous hour was interesting to say the very least..the impromptu Red alert drill had found Le Morte in the shower as the klaxxons sounded. The grabbing of a wrap, contacting the Gamma sci team to go to full alert status and the ensuing trip to the main science lab was not enough...No the stares he had gotten when he showed up and on the way back to quarters were very interesting indeed. Aliana had walked up to LeMorte's quarters. She was wearing a knee-length skirt, designed for dancing and that floated, and a tank-top like shirt that practically blended into the skirt, both in deep reds, and straightened them before buzzing his door. Barely having had time to return to quarters resume the shower, and getting dressed for his dinner guest was a bit hurried indeed. The quick assembelage of his part of the dinner was easy...the other part of the food preperation for his guest...was something altogether different...no replication, just simple cooking, the door chimed..! Aliana smoothed the piece of hair that kept swinging in her face as she waited. "Huh. I wonder if he is here," she said, chiming the door again. Taking the last pot off the cooking surface, and assuring the oven dish was well on the way to being cooked, Le Morte turned and calmly headed to the door...pressing the button the door swooshed open, standing there was Aliana...her looks were different in civilian clothing, actually quite becoming for a change,a breath of fresh air if you will."Please come in"..smiling. Aliana grinned. "Hi," she said, walking inside. "Nice quarters... definetly less cluttered then mine," she said jokingly. Looking over the front room..he turned and stated "computer" increase ambient lighting to shade below normal..."Aliana" I apologize for the darkness...it suits my vision better." Grinning he turned and motioned to the main table. "I hope you are hungry" he spoke as he led the way to the table..set replete with his best tableware and candles. "I almost always am," she said, her tone joking. She sat down. "These are really nice candles... what kind are they?" Looking up at the candles..and back to Aliana.."They are just some fragrance candles I picked up on Risa a while back while on leave before being assigned here. I think they are called frakencense...or something akin to that". "Really? Wow," she said looking impressed. "I used to have dozens of these, I used them all though. They were very popular on 21st century earth..." "I see ..well we cannot have that",pointing to a shelf in the corner.."please help yourself to an assortment of the ones I have...please, I bought a large quanity at an auction. I literally have cases of them. While you do that,I'll check on the rest of dinner ..pick some music as well on the disc station if you like. Aliana looked even more impressed. "What area of Risa did you find them on," she asked, examining them, before going over to the music. "Do you have a musical preference?" Turning for a moment.." I found the candles at an auction in the traders district...a lot of good merchandise comes and goes through there...you might try it when you get the oppurtunity,as for the music...you are my guest,up to you. Aliana chuckled. "Well, I mostly listen to rock in roll. Do you have any Dengue Fever?" Working away in the food area..and placing the main meat on the platter, He casually said "There is a full list on the viewer interface..see what I have, you might like the assortment..many classic's including rock-n-roll it used to be referred to. Aliana grinned and began to scroll through. "No Dengue Fever, but plenty of Grace Jones. I admire your taste," she said, putting on Art Groupie. Entering the room with the plattered food, along with a large salad bowl ...and selection of dressings.."I thank you"..it has been a collection of music from over the cen...pausing ,err the years. placing the food down and reaching for the chilled bottle of wine ,opening the bottle with a small "pop" as the corkscrew released the aroma of the wine. Aliana...I took the liberty of choosing a proper wine for the table and dinner if that is ok with you?. "It is quite alright. What type is it?" "A complimenting red wine from the vineyards of Bordeaux France...from a long time ago on Terra,or Earth if you will. Taking a tall long stemmed glass and pouring it for her.." I think you may approve" he offered the glass to her as he finished setting the table. "I think I will at that," she said, taking it and sipping the wine. "mmmm. Very good." Taking a glass and pouring from another bottle he filled his...and joined her in the front room. "To an excellent dinner then, and thank you for being my very first guest, and one so lovely" He simply raised his glass and touched hers. She smiled at him. "Thank you for cooking me dinner. Normally I have replicated, for as I said before, I am not a very talented cook." Smiling he looked at her," I am pleased to do so, it is not often that I have guest for dinner,or any other feeding time for that matter...you know how awkward it can be for others to observe me feeding...again I thank you for your understanding...shall we?" She grinned again, sipping the wine once more and savoring the taste in her mouth. "Thank you," she said, walking back to the table.

  15. ::2 cents:: The idea of a wiki for STSF isn't such a bad idea. For one thing, you can use ideas from each other the different sims separate websites, to fill in information that some people might want, like open positions, information on plot lines, NPC's, ect. ect. so running out of info for it probably isn't a problem. Besides, if all else fails, you can just get the players from the different sims to go on shameless plugs about their games on the wiki ::jk:: ~Ali

  18. Hey all. This is not a log, but I needed to get this out there. My mac shut down last sunday (Nov 2) and I haven't been able to access my email ([email protected]) since then. I am using a pc now, and I am trying to get [email protected] set up on it, but anything that you have sent me since nov 2 has not been opened, so if you needed something urgent, please resend it too [email protected], and please change my email address on your listings to [email protected]. Thanks. ~Ali
  19. This post is in memory of Gene Roddenberry, who died on this day 17 years ago. Rest in Peace. ~Ali
  20. Enjoy your new mac. I hope it will not suddenly stop working in three years and dump all of the novels and plays you have been writing, and you realize you never backed them up, so you end up trying to save up to get the applestore to fix it so you can retreave all your work, like mine did ::bitter::. Well, the good thing is, at least you won't expect the mac to fail, unlike the pc where you know it will eventually happen, that might not be a good thing though... ~Ali
