Trekkie and Trekker. Trekker meaning you like a series other than the Orginal.
Images, I am not even going to ask what your ranting about...
-
Itd be cool to have a series that acknowledges all the past events in STar Trek as relevant events. Even have all five captains meet (Maybe with Kirk's new actor  )

Well, the world is gonna end in ten seconds, but Paris Hilton is going with us!
-
(One was a borg, but he was created from the 29th century mobile emmiterbecause that was how advnced it was. It doesnt mean the Borg still exist then.
What would be great if there is an actual fair competiton between all five captains and their crews, (well, somehow get duplicate Worfs and O'Breins). Not to mention a harmonius blend of all the Star Treks that everyone would like. And hopefully not as sentimental and a little more belivable. How about someone on a Federation crew tempted into deep darkness, a little more death of known characters, emotion filled periods.
All five treks had their great points. Mystery and growing from Voyager and The Next Generation. Science filled plots rom Voyager. Morals from the Orginal series, Voyager and Enerprise with light humor. Reality and complex, belivable characters from Deep Space Nine and Enterprise. With careful attention, the greatest series of them all can be achieved. With five series, five experinces, just like a Trill smbyont, it will work.

No future is certain. I'm sure there was at least one Trek episode that taught us that.Only if Daniel REALLy messed up.
-
Just so everyone knows, the Federation exists to the thirty first century at least, when people learn to build temporal communicators in high school.

Congrats, Lucindax. I think my computer shut down before I could say that.

... would you and what would it the series be like?

Romantic love side plots are something that I really like. I'm glad that in DS9 that there was pair off. It just makes for better characters and more intersting plot, as long its not a new chick every week like Kirk's "true loves." T'Pol/Trip is my favorite one; it was just so untypical and bittersweet.
-
I do not mean romantics as in love and sex. I mean sentimental, kinda like the old war movies, "treat my buddy first, hes hurt worse than me," stories and other movies "oh, wild horse were swept onto a sandy spit, and left there to die, but somehow lives through" "Or dont destroy the gaurdian, it will be a crime against science, even if its killing everyomne in the universe". And dramatic stuff, such as long pauses after stupid lines. "Its not where we are, its when!" Dun, dun stuff. Enterprise and DS9 was still very realistic. Who expected Reed, Trip and Archer to have the worse shore leave ever while HOSHI gets some? I never seen Archer or Sisko have a dramatic pause just staring at the stupid viewscreen.
-
I meant as a permenant crew member, who would you trust the most. ENT crew is the crew I trust the most. At least they dont get caught up in romantics like TNG. No offense.

- That "spit and polish" English gentleman thing, tactical officer, long line of Naval service, not afraid to take risks, appealed to me right away. Yet, like all Trek characters, he had his good points and bad points.- He could kick marine MACO butt, which rocked (although, I seem to recall Mister Reed got a detached retina from that little brawl with Hayes, so he wasn't superman).
- He was also a little too over the edge at times - he tried to commit suicide after being impaled to the outside of the ships hull during that Rihan minefield episode. There's a marked difference btw being noble and jumping the gun, and acting like a typical junior officer, Reed didn't think his action through there.
- He also had the dark past thing going on with ties to Section 31 as a young ensign recruit ... I liked him even more after that little skeleton in the closet.
Reed also has a cute rear end. Did I type that out loud? ::purrs::
Well, Reed tried to comit suicide after the could not disarm the bomb. It was jumping the gun wee bit, but also remember the story about his grandfather, who was aquaphobic, but still locked himself in engineering of the naval ship when it was flooding to save the crew? Not to mention Reed blames himself for not joining the navy because of his aquaphobia. It was much more complex than he just want to be heroric.
And of course he is nt sperman, but he still kicked that MACO Hayes butt back in place. At least he did not stop because of that injury.
*wolf whistle* Sexy Reed, nice bum, nice arms and chest, cute face.... *purrs louder*

I said if every one had identical ships and know how to use them. I did not mean that they all went to the same Academy year.
For all missions, (dipomatic, first contact, battle, supplies, science ect.) it would be Jonathan Archer's crew. Jonathan Archer has that trustworthy air about him that spreads off to people he has barely ment, causing even them to trust him, even slightly. He always remains calm, and collected, well, most of the time. He may not be the itimidating type like Kirk or Sisko, but he knows when to kick some. To save a member of his crew, unless he's down on the primitive planet locked in a cell with them, he will do everything in his power to explore every option before allowing the crewmember to die.
Subcommander T'Pol is basically the female boss, she makes up for the slight lack of indimidation of Archer. Her science skills may seem a bit low, but its only her century. If she ws in Voyager's time, she'll be as good as Seven of Nine. Unlike other Vulcans, she can allow herself to seem emotional as a distraction, and lie. She is also becoming more human by the minute, allowing her to understand the humans shes working with, and perhaps she can find the percise balance.
Malcolm Reed is the best tatical officer in all of Star Trek. He may be a bit stuffy, but thats what makes him good at his job. He does not allow disdvantages get him down. In fact, when T'Pol was captured by a man threatening to blow her brains out if Reed came any closer, Reed stunned T'Pol, in case if he shot the offending man, the muscels would spasm and T'Pol would be dead anyway. Afterwards, he used the moment of surprise of shooting his own to stun the man. Best tatcial stratagey that I've seen the other Tatical Officers not think about. Reed also trusts the element of surprise throughly, and he was the man to first create a stable force field with little outside help (In a hurry too), and created phase cannons to put on the NX-01, again, he designed them without much outside help. He even risked two decks being blown out to maximize the power. And geez, he could beat the snot out of an MACO senior officer! He is also completely willng to die for the ship, even argued against Jonathan Archer for not just deatching the hull plate Reed was pinned to and leaving the minefield. He even released all the air out of his space suit to commit suicide so Jonathan would take the Enterprise out of harms way. Archer still found away to get him off though alive and well, thankfully.
Chief Engineer Charles Trip Tucker is great with not just the ship's systems, but also destroying them in a "controlled fashion" which payed off quite well. He can easily patch any system to anywhere, even the Jefferies tubes and even the warp naccels' catwalks. He can figure out any alien system if given the time, even a complex Soliban ship. He is more full of life, and is sometimes out of line, but still an all around guy.
Communications Officer Hoshi Sato's learning speech center of her brain is still in young stage, or thats what it seems. She can pick up languages in a day, and she enjoys the challege thoroughly.
Phlox, the Denibian doctor, has an extreme bed side manner. He smiles ALL the time. He is always in a good mood, and is very forgiving. He knows what his morals and ethics are, and never trusts propoganda. He has homeopothy options, which includes Regulant bloodworms on infections and scar tissue, which, though disgusting, is very useful. He prefers organic methods to his approch to medicine, which does have its avantages, also he only sleeps 6 days a year. So unless he's hibernating, he's always there. Useful huh?
Thats is why I'd choose Jonatan Archer's crew above all others. Kirk's next, Sisko's third, Janeway's fourth, and Picard, well, after about 17 damage related refits PLEASE NO!!!!
-
If all ships were equal, and all crews equally trained, would it make a difference?Do you really think Kirk and Picard think in the same way? Everyone has a different way of thinking, even if they are only characters. I mean, who invented as first stable force field or good phase cannons with little or without outside help, Reed or Worf? Do you think Tuvok would think in the same way as the Klingon Worf? Or Harry Kim the same way as Data? Don't you think Kirk is faster to pull the trigger than Janeway? Does Miles O'Brien spend his free time reading technical journals like Scotty?

I happen to love Star Wars: Phantom Menance. And yes, the mircroscopic critters only help their host weild the Force. They have a minute similairity to a Trill smymbiont, they both require hosts to live and give their host a bit of personality and power. (symbiont's power being to have the past lives of other host be transferred to the current individual)
The girl who played Padme was really bad, and the Lucas writers were probably a bit desperate.
