::beep, beep:: Anika had been sleeping soundly when the first beep started, and in a half mumbled voice said, "Computer, turn off the alarm." The computer responded with, "acknowledged." ::beep, beep:: Anika was now a little more awake and a little more frustrated, "Computer, I thought I told you to turn off the alarm!" The computer spoken its typical unpassionet voice stating, "The alarm has already been turn off." Anika sighed. ::beep, beep:: Anika was ready to tear the computer apart. "Computer...," she had shouted, but before she could say anything else Anika was now wide awake and realized that the beeping was not her alarm, but instead to inform her that she had messages. Computer: waiting for your command... Anika grumbled, "nevermind." How silly of her. Anika had been ready to tear the computer apart for not turning off the alarm. Normally it would have been easy to tell the types of beeps apart and before she heard one more beep she got out of bed and to her message padd. Anika pressed a button that informed the computer she was aware she had messages and was suprised to see that she had 3 waiting for her. She must of been sleeping more soundly than she thought. Dr. Pierce decided she would get dressed and come back to the messages after she was feeling more refreshed. The sleep did her a world of good; however, she was still feeling lightheaded and slightly nauseated. Anika was now ready for her messages and sat down at her desk. The first message was from Commander Dacotah. It was a memo describing their current mission. Anika laughed. Matriarchal society...all men owned by women...blonde hair, blue eyes rare! This could be fun. She leaned back in her chair and looked up. She already see the number of men running to the salon to become blondes with blue eye coloring. And those already having those qualities...well she could see them boasting like male peacocks. She continued reading...Please update yourselves and make the necessary changes to your appearance and attire prior to departure. A briefing will take place Wednesday at 2300 hours. Anika got up from her desk and looked at her chronometer. It was Sunday, 1330. That meant she didn't have much time to get ready. She went to the mirror and was reminded of her dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. She was thankful that was the norm for this culture; she was never able to picture herself as a blonde. This meant the only thing left for her to do was to set up an appointment an the tailor's. Anika looked back at computer and was reminded of the other message. This one was from Luietenant Garnoopy. The only difference in this memo was that it had a little less information than the commander's dossier. It was time to get up, and as Anika got up from her desk, the room started spinning around. She made a desicion then and there that she would go to sickbay for this. She was recovering fine, but there was no way she would be "under the weather" when all this comotion was taking place. Her first stop would be sickbay and then the tailor's to set up an appointment. And out the door she walked...

Dr. Pierce had a great time at the beach party...perhaps too great of a time. As soon as she returned to the ship, she new something was wrong. There was still a full shift before she had to be in sickbay, so she decided it woud be best to lie down. By the time her shift had come, she was feeling worse and ran some scans. As she had recalled, she had eaten the most shellfish. It seemed that the fish carried a certain microrganism that in a great enough concentration would have the same effects as food poisoning. It would leave her system eventually, and no long term damage would be expected. Dr. Pierce called to sickbay and Dr. Telano had answered. He had informed her that they were not busy and the ship was pretty quiet. Dr. Pierce then took a sickday. She hated medicine, but had learned to realize that at times it was necessary. This independecy gave Anika the advanatage of of having a strong immune system and she rarely got sick. Unfortunately, it was times like these that reminded her she was human and could get sick. And right now...she needed some sleep to get through this, especially since she was so lightheaded right now. Thank God for sickdays.

I missed the episode Wed, and here in Nebraska, it airs twice a week, the second time being Saturday. I'll let you know what I think when I finish watching it ;)

I though this was funny since over the summer we had the Pandarians. I don't know if they are still "visiting" the academies. I don't normally hvae time throughout the week. But fir me it is when I get this chance. This week for example I have had more frre time so I have been on more often. ;)

oh my god, you GOT knocked out by a ROCK??how did that happen? I threw a Grenade and I was hit by debris because I couldn't make it to the Talon sim so they needed an excuse for me not talking :) I think thats funny...ppl on my ship carry cardboard ppl ;) Great ship by the way :D

When I was told in analytical chemistry that we would hvae to be able to know the difference in presicion and accuracy in everyday life, not in a million years did I think it included simming. :wink: And if you real want to get more technical. The Earth is just one massive fractal. :D

Tuesday night are definately the nights for academies. They are a lot of fun. And the cool thing about graduating is you can always go back and have fun in the academies. I haven't been there in a while, but I do agree Jami and Jorlis are tons of fun! ::waves to Jami and Jorlis:: hope to see you guys agian soon. And maybe get some more of that tea Jorlis. :D

LOL - Is anyone else reminded of that scene in Monty Python's The Holy Grail when near the end of the movie all those knights, squires, footmen, etc. just came out of *nowhere* as if they had been there all along? I tell ya ppl...I get no respect... :wink:

I thought the episode was interesting, but one thing I am not liking so far is that the creators seem to be creating the Vulcans as superhumans. Granted, I understand the vulcans are resilient, but not to everything. And if T'Pol had the antivirus in her system, why was she partially mutated and then unmutated by her own antibodies? If the antibodies couldn't help her that quickly, then how did it reverse the human mutations so quickly. The antibody works on viruses, not humans. Just a thought. As for whta I would think would be cool is that later in the season we find out that starfleet has made a ton of ships, but has not made them operational yet, due to test for the prototype. Governments are good at hiding things. And then half way through the season we find 20 of the ships :D when the Xindi just realize hey we can kick the enterprise's butt...there's only one of them... :DNow that would be cool
