  1. Another thing, wasn't the phase Cloak pretty unstable and at best dangerous? Wouldn't want to go dephase into a asterioid or anything (hmm maybe i can rig a personal one to go and sabotage Dac's shoe closet...muhahaha)... :(
  2. Exactly, thank you and Anderson both for clarifying my original statement. ---from the Physics of Star Trek, Dr. Krauss
  3. HA HA HA HA HA! Like Duke right? Oh wait they got good at the end of the year...You boys just said hello to the Doormat by letting Miami and BC in your conference. (*Notice I left out Va. tech...there is a good reason for that.... they are 6-8 the last two years n the Beast of the East!)
  4. Nothing would kill her more than you wearing her boots with an outfit that doesn;t go with them.
  5. Bah, FSu is only good becuase we gave them Bobby Bowden, Floridia is scared Zookless, and Miami cheats to win...and can have fun in the ACC!
  6. If only cloaking were that easy! Actualy I belive you're wrong on how they cloak or at least from my understanding of cloaking technolonogy, you are. From what I understand it literally 'bends' the space around the ship . Thats why it takes so much energy. I think what you are thinking of is something they invented for the SS Raven (ST: VOY) called Multi-Adaptive Shielding. As for the alliance, actually they shared a lot of technology during that time, they got a cloaking device (I'd say that pretty significant) and we Rihans (Rommies) got ship designs.
  7. Well, today is the Great American Race and I was wondering how many of you watch it. I do. :(
  8. I went with college football the pride and pagentry is just awsome. There is nothing like going to a Notre Dame game or the OSU/Michigan Game or The Backyard Brawl...nothing!
  9. I think the fact they are capable of arrogance proves they are smarter :( I like dogs and cats, but cats make me sneezze and my eye sweel shut, that why i have hypo-allgenic one thats furless ::wonders if he can talk Blu into going furless to help his alergies:: :)
  10. Can I have mine changed to: Evil Incarnate ? If so thanks.
  11. :( Bah Humbug from me too!!! V-Day is the most overrated holiday out there...but i suppose au lovie-dovies like it...so enjoy it. :)
  12. MISSION SUMMARY PART 1 Ne’Arrien Destorie N’Dak CSEC RES Talon Stardate 0402.12 >Begin Summary< Destorie and ‘Andrea’ beamed down to the bleak surface of Skoru III. Destoire looked around a but unsettled by the whole experience. Like wise Andrea was seemed a bit unsettled to him as well. This Andrea had claimed to be the granddaughter of a former Romulan. And despite his better instincts not to trust this human woman, something inside of him made him trust her as one of his own. Destoire looked around again, the two of them had started to walk towards an outcropping off rocks. The Talon should have spotted them by now, Destorie reasoned, but kept walking following Andrea, who by N’Dak best guesses was leading him towards what she said, were life signs. Hopefully Rihans but he couldn’t be sure. They walked a few more meters. That’s when he spotted what ever in elements names those “squiddy” things were. Instantly and almost impulsively he reached for his disruptor—Elements they took that too. “Do you still have a UT,” Andrea said. Luckily they hadn’t taken that. By the time he managed to get his UT out, the two Squiddy things had slithered off there craft and begun gibbering their mindless Squddish. After fooling with their translators for a few minutes they were no closer to understanding what ever those ugly things were trying to say, and it was obvious the squids were becoming agitated. At that point the two decided it was time to make there leave of the squirmy things. As they began to inch away, Andrea spotted what seemed to be an away team from the Talon. “Praise Elements,” Destorie thought to himself. As they got closer he could make faces he recognized… PART 2 Ne'Arrain R'Tor t'Bat'ok' Stardate 0402.12 The planet looked really bare and lacking. At the moment that was what r'Tor was noticing trying to get away from the fact that she was here to hand these Lloann'na'vna back over to their ship. For all that she was concerned, it was them that had broken the treaty and them that wrecked havoc to the Talon that she had to find ways to fix. Giving a glare to the nearest of the Lloann'na'vna she then looked around at the horizon. When they beamed down she thought they were beamed really close to the Lloann'na team on the surface, but by the looks of things, it seems as though they will just have to search them out. Hearing some noise from the nearest Lloann'na'vna she quickly looked to him. "Quiet!" she ordered as she jabbed him with the disrupter. If she recalled right, this one was referred to as John.. er.. something or other, not fully remembering the name not thinking it that important to remember. Looking over to another member of the AT she asked, "Any sign of them?" letting out a sigh she started to scan the horizon again. The officer replied with a hand pointing off in a direction. Looking in the direction the officer pointed r'Tor was going impatient. "Lets move!" giving John a shove to get him moving. Keeping her disrupter on him the entire trek over to the ridge just incase he decided to try to run. Part way there he started to mumble something, not hearing what was mumbled but figured it couldn't have been wanted chatter. Glaring at the back of his head, she jabbed him with the disrupter again. "QUIET!" She demanded of him again. Glancing over to the officer that pointed this way, the officer met her look and nodded pointing the way they were headed verifying they were headed the right way. Shortly after that two humanoids appeared on the horizon coming towards them. Getting closer to them she realized one was wearing a Lloann'na uniform and the other was wearing a romulan uniform. Again jabbing the disrupter into John she informed him, "Na funny stuff!" making it clear to him that she was ready to shoot him if he decided to try something. Reaching the other two she stopped with the team from the Talon, standing in arms reach beside John holding the disrupter at him but in the view of the other two. Not sure if it was a deception or not she kept her gaze flickering between the Lloann'na and Dak. PART 3 The two groups finally closed in on each other, Destoire had warned Andrea not to talk, but she had anyway, which immediately but r’Tor on guard. Destorie assured r’Tor that she could trust them and that they needed to speak to the Ennarien. R’Tor contacted the Talon, to no avail. As they discussed what to do; the squid things reappeared and were making it obvious that they wanted the joint teams to come with them. Unable to contact there ships, and unwilling to anger the tentacled ones, the team decided they must go with the squids. >End Summary<

That and I am going to watch any show with this line in it: "Exscuse me if I didn't recognize you, the last time anyone saw you people, you looked like overgrown toasters!" But seriously I was hoping they would turn the mini-series into a show...YAY! Something new to watch!!!
  17. yes, yes I know the United States isn't a real Empire...i thought it would be interesting to include them. To Clarify (A)= Ancient (2000 BC- 1000 AD) (MA)= Middle Aged (1000 AD-1800 AD) (M)= Modern (1800 AD- Modern Times)
  18. okay I think I am going to have delete this topic...
  19. ::takes temperature again as he finds himself continuing to agree with Grom:: WE ARE THE WORLD SUPERPOWER! oy vey There is no country who can go toe to toe with America and win...face it. Notonly are we the military power of the world, the world economy rises and falls with the US Economy. There is no country in the world that can match us in either field; which classifies you as the SOLE Super Power. ::senses flaring tempers which was not his idea when starting topic::
  20. Yeah I hear Cait...I mean cat is pretty tasty boss... B) Anyway Hope to see you in a sim.
  21. Good grief I am agreeing with fred and Grom...::takes temperature:: I think it is pretty well accepted that America, more or less single handedly, was responsible for ending both world wars and we did defeat communism all on our own.
  22. PERSONAL LOG Ne’Arrien Destorie N’Dak CSEC RES Talon Stardate 0402.08 >Begin Log< Supposedly Federation types weren’t in to torture—Destorie felt other wise. After all they had left him in a drab grey cell with a boring stoic VULCAN! He wouldn’t even so much as move let alone harass Destorie. And at any moment he was waiting for the tright Vulcan to launch into some annoying tirade about Logic! Destorie had decided that soon he would have to consider the possibility of not being rescued; and he would rather die than rot in some Federation Prison. He had just about resigned himself to making use of his boot strings when some impetuous marine came strutting in flanked by more guards—a wise precaution Destorie thought to himself. Destorie wasn’t able to make out what rank the young marine was, but what ever he was he had jerked Destorie out of brig and was taking him to a lift. “Ahh at last I get to match wits with their Ennarien,” Destorie thought to himself. This Marine ‘Holden,’ he had heard the name as he spoke to someone on their Oira, was certainly being easy with Destorie, he hadn’t even bothered to bloody him up. “A sign of weakness. That is the humans’ problem they aren’t willing to get their hands dirty,” Destorie thought. “I pity the poor fools that were taken back to the Talon.” He grinned knowing that, at the moment, t'Aehjae and the rest of his thugs were breaking human bones and spirits. The lift stopped and the Marine pushed him out onto the Starfleet Oira. This Holden was jumpy, pushing him around and almost threatening Destorie, he was young and that much was obvious; and he seemed a little overconfident or perhaps just scared Destorie wasn’t quite sure. The Marine came to a stop outside a door marked ‘Ready Room,’ as Destorie waited he noticed a metal panel nearby with some Human writing on it. ‘USS ARCADIA’ Destorie smirked to himself. Now he knew the ship’s name but he was still going to call it the USS TRASH SHIP. After a few minutes of waiting, he was finally brought in to this ‘Ready Room.’ What in the elements name was a Ready Room anyway? Was this where the Captain got ready and applied, what was the human term, his/her make-up? He knew Humans were sickeningly vain but he didn’t know they were THAT vain. As he was shown inside the room he had full expected to see a full ‘salon’ but instead it was an office much like t’Rexen’s, minus the Cardassian ‘spoons’ on the wall. The first person he saw as he was shown in was what appeared to be a Human female, the ships counselor no doubt. “Elements. He brought his counselor in for the integration, this human are pathetic,” Destorie thought to himself. "First the break you down, then they let you talk about it to a Counselor?!?!" Then Destorie saw the Captain. He looked young to be a Starfleet Captain, and not much taller than Destorie himself. By the look on the Captain’s face, Destorie decided that he wasn’t here to be grilled on Rihan Battle plans. After some mild bantering between Destorie and the Captain, the Captain outright shocked N’Dak, “I am sending you back…” Elements! What kind of negotiating was this giving back the only minute piece of leverage you have? Then Destorie realized, it was negotiations to prevent a war. As the Captain continued to talk N’Dak realized that indeed this human was correct, a war would leave millions dead on both sides, not to mention those filthy Klingons would get involved and the Empire was not ready for such a horrific war on the heals of the bloody Dominion War. The Captain laid out the plan, N’dak and ‘Knollwatcher’ would beam down to this planet they were in orbit of and wait for the Talon to beam them up, then negations could begin. In addition Knollwatcher was to be returned—unharmed. The voice the Captain had used sent a shiver up Destorie’s spine, the same shiver he usually got when he was in the presence of the Khre Riov, and despite N’Dak’s haughty response, he knew the Captain was deadly serious. Shortly there after, the two and some other officer were en route to the transporter room. And before he knew it, he was on this planet called Skoru. As he looked around the planet, he thought to himself, “Elements, what in the world have I done to deserve this?” >End Log<
  23. Whats up with all these new Caitians? We are going to have to get a bigger litter box! B)
  24. Well for my overly proud Patriotic Moment of the Year: IF it wasn't for us 'stupid overbearing Americans' Europe would have been overtaken By the Germans TWICE. We entered WW I not for any real reason (yes yes I know about the Lusitania but meh it did have contraband on it) other than to save Everyone elses rears. And once Again in WW II its was the Americans who changed the Balance of Power. For the record I believe America in deed does classify as one of the three or four GREAT empires in History. I am just not sure where we fall in the upper echelon of greatness. Certainly Millitarly we (comparatively) rival Rome for might, however we are going to have to last the 1000 years or so that 'The Eternal City' did before we can call ourselves the Greatest Empire of All Time.
  25. ::thwaps the Vulcan back to topic:: once again I point out we are overlooking the Chinesse..Taoism and Confuious as well as Sun Tzu!
