If I am understanding what you are talking about, this is already a feature of the message boards. Do you mean something like: <center></center> This is at the bottom left hand side of the posts that have multiple pages on them. If there are not multiple pages, there are no links down there for them. You can even click on the Pages: link to actually jump to an exact page number. So if there are 50 pages, you can jump straight to page 47 or whatever.

I have increased the number of topics and the number of posts per page. Now no more complaining or ya'll walk the plank. Arrrr matey...

Around a year ago, I had the board set to display more topics per page, but there were complaints that the pages all took too long to display on a dialup connection. It was asked that we cut the number of topics down per page. So I had made that change. If increasing it is something everyone is interested in, I'm sure it can be arranged. I just want to get more than two opinions on it first before making the change.

Locking a topic after XX days is something that will not be possible until the next upgrade to the message board. I've already had that on my under consideration list.

The 0 New Messages part at the top of the screen? I recieve SEVERAL PMs from folks here on the boards. Ranging from requests to questions about the site/boards to propositions to marrage. (Yes, I had one person PM me asking if I wanted to get married. lol) Private Messages here on the boards are a feature that are not as utilized as they COULD be... but they're used. I do not directly read any PMs sent (as they would not be private anymore would they?)... but I do have reports on usage. So far there has been over 5,000 PMs sent though this board since it was first online. But they're a great way of communicating with folks in the forums other than e-mail. And if a moderator pulls a post, or needs to warn someone for something that happens on the board, that information will be passed onto them via a private message.

Wait till I start playing around with the warn/ban buttons. ;) THEN we can talk about a conspiracy. :ph34r:

The dots are more for board moderators and administrators. Generally when editing is done in the thread, it's marked with a dot so we know there are edited sections inside. The most common reason for the dot is for when a moderator merges a topic with another topic. There are many times it's more practical to just combine two topics into the same.

Folks... I've been combining several topics relating to this one into this thread. Please keep all discussion regarding non-santioned events to this thread. Originally discussion of non-santioned events were not even permitted on these boards, but we're trying to be a little more accomodating. So please try to keep general discussion of it in this thread and any reports you wish to post about it in the other thread remaining open on it. Thank you for your cooperation. :ph34r:

It's based off of your last visit. Say a post has 200 replies to it.... that would qualify as a hot topic. But if there has not been any posts to that thread in the past 2 weeks, there is no new posts in it.
