  1. I'm testing my new image which should appear below or above my name to the left.
  2. Now this avatar I've made I like.
  3. =A= Computer Begin Recording =A= Ensign Garnoopy Personal Log Stardate 50210.23 Well, I’ve looked into some of the computer logs, and I think I’ve found what happened to the shuttle. A Lt. Roget apparently, in an attempt to avoid destruction by an enemy torpedo, flew the shuttle into the bay hoping this would save her life. From what I can tell, the Lt. ended up in sickbay and the shuttle ended up on the shuttle bay floor. I haven’t figured out all the details, but I still can’t seem to figure out who shot the torpedo, or how the Lt. managed to get into such a dangerous situation. My opinion is she wasn’t paying attention, but I have to research some more before I make my full opinion. Anyways, I reevaluated the shuttle damage, and I’ve found the deflector is completely shot; the hull has more damage than I thought, and nearly all systems are offline. I’ve managed to replicate special gene sequences into 12 new bio-neural packs for the shuttle. These gene sequences should help to compensate for small power fluctuations that will occur during repairs. Ah yes, I also talked to the CSEC. I must say, I’m not sure what to think. She’s given me 9 days to repair the shuttle, or she’ll come down and assist me. I don’t know what this means, but I don’t like the sound of it. If only she knew the extensive damage done, she might allow more time, but I’m not sure what to do there, I can only hope I manage to finish on time. I assigned 3 engineers to repair the massive hull damage to the shuttle, and another 2 engineers to reconstruct the deflector dish. With their help, hopefully I’ll get everything finished on time. Anyways, while working on replacing the bio-neural packs, I met the CENG. Of course, all I’ve done is shaken her hand and said a few words to her, but I hope to talk to her some more. From what I can tell she is a nice lady, though she looks Vulcan, which means she may not be a very social person. Of course, I could be completely wrong, but from my experiences with other academy Vulcan students; I’m just not sure. Anyways, in a few minutes of free time, I’ve been working on my Enterprise 1701-D model. I’m currently in the process of painting all the different panels on the saucer section. It is taking a lot of time, but it looks awesome. I’m considering doing a Nebula class after this in celebration to my first assignment in Starfleet. =A= Computer End Recording =A=
  4. ::Seals himself into a shuttle:: Maybe I'll be safe from Roget here...
  5. I must admit, it would be hard to work w/a Klingon. I mean, I'd always be trying to get them to laugh, and that might end up with me getting a broken nose.
  6. I already signed up at Amazon.com, but thanks for the info. Does anyone have an estimate as to when they will put the Voy DVD's out?
  7. :) Carefull...... j/k, you can have your own opinion, but I still want to know when they are coming out.
  8. ---FILE INFO--- Biography on Ensign Garnoopy Last updated: 51002.20 ---BASIC INFORMATION--- Name: Garnoopy Race: Terran (Human) Marital Status: Single Age: 21 Earth Years Height: 190.5 cm Weight: 78 kg Hair: Blonde Eyes: Blue Place of Birth: Earth ---SERVICE INFORMATION--- Rank: Ensign Ship Assignment: USS Manticore, NCC-5852 Post Assignment: Engineer/Transporter & Control Crafts Specialists ---BIOGRAPHY--- Ensign Garnoopy was born in the infamous town of Riverside, Iowa; the birthplace of Captain James T. Kirk. He grew up hearing the tales of Starfleet officers who came to see where the famous Captain had been born. Apparently, Garnoopy loved to hear these tales. He wanted to join Starfleet as soon as he could, and he wanted to be assigned to a ship. Garnoopy worked extremely hard at school and excelled in everything he was given, especially challenges. Garnoopy was never one who liked to accept that he couldn’t understand something. After going through high school, Garnoopy applied to Starfleet academy on Stardate 50902.18, and he was accepted on 50902.20. Garnoopy immediately immersed himself in the Academy, and decided in his second year to major in engineering systems. Engineering was the most complicated area that Garnoopy faced, and the challenges to attempt to learn engineering systems was far more difficult than any other area to Garnoopy. Garnoopy was particularly fascinated by starship circuitry. Bio-neural circuitry was the most complex piece of equipment on a starship, because it could do so much and be so small and intricate, it was fascinating to Garnoopy. In his fourth year, for his final essay in engineering, Garnoopy proposed that by using bio-neural circuitry, and combining it with specially selected genes of alien DNA, you could speed up response time by 10-25%. Garnoopy proceeded to illustrate this theory on the Academy holodeck where he managed to, in one bio-neural pack, increase the response time by 8%. Naturally, this was nothing as complex as a complete starship full of bio-neural packs, but it did earn Garnoopy 2 honors in engineering circuitry systems for outstanding knowledge in the field and opened a whole new theory into bio-neural circuitry in the Federation. Garnoopy graduated from the Academy on Stardate 1002.02 top of his class. Due to his honors and graduating position, it was recommended by the Academy board that Garnoopy be assigned to a high-ranking starship. Ensign Garnoopy was then assigned to the USS Manticore, NCC-5852, on Stardate 1002.08 where he is currently serving. ---STARFLEET SERVICE RECORD--- 50902.20 – Entered Starfleet Academy 51002.02 – Graduated Starfleet Academy 51002.08 – Assigned to USS Manticore, NCC-5852 as Ensign 51002.14 – Reported for duty on USS Manticore, NCC-5852
  9. ::Sniff Sniff:: You didn't mention you got a new crewmember... :) Ensign Garnoopy USS Manticore NCC-5852
  10. Lol :) Ensign Garnoopy USS Manticore NCC-5852
  11. ::Smiles:: Hehehehe, you're still in sickbay, and you don't have anything of mine..... however, I have plenty of your hair and skin on the shuttle where you were banged around.... :)
  12. Lately I've been hearing rumors about a new ship that will be coming to STSF.com. Are these rumors true in any way? Or do you not plan on creating a new ship anytime in the next month or two? Ensign Garnoopy USS Manticore NCC-5852
  13. ::Blinks:: Wait a minute, they cut you out of the shuttle?!?!?! This means even more work to repair that stupid shuttle!!!
  14. Umm...... You do realize if you join a ship that is in a year where the Romulans and Federation aren't happy w/each other, you um, well, kinda can't be a Romulan that happens to be friends with each side. Ensign Garnoopy USS Manticore NCC-5852
  15. Well, since I've been assigned to a starship, I've noticed personal log posting. My question is as follows: What is standard procedure for posting a personal log? I've noticed some people post them as like they are telling a story, not talking to the computer recording a log. Which is favored? Is one way appreciated by GM's more than another? Ok, that was more than one quetsion, but you get the idea. Ensign Garnoopy USS Manticore, NCC-5852
  16. Does this mean that you don't even have to be an Ensign to start your own ship if you've been posting on this forum for a long time? Or you've been simming outside of this forum for a long time? There has to be some sort of set requirements for people to have their own ships. I mean, I've been simming online for over a year! I'm starting out on this web page because I happen to like the way the STSF group sims. Hypothetically, does that mean I can have my own ship? Now, I mean no offence by any of this, but I find it frustrating that there is a chance that someone dosen't even have to be a member of the group, let alone an Ensign, to start their own ship.
  17. I'm confused. If you want your own ship, your saying that you should work w/the GM's to get the ship into the game? Does this mean that you don't even have to go through the ranks of Cadet, Ensign, Lt, LtCmdr, Cmdr, Cpt? I mean, if you have the right personality you can get anyone to agree with a lot of things, no offence to the GM's, but that isn't a fair way to add new ships. Someoen should have to earn their way to Cmdr at least, and then be promoted to Captain and then allowed their own ship. Otherwise for those of us who are going through the Acadamy sims and then starting as Ensign's have no reason to do so.
  18. Hey ya'll, a few nights ago, I'm not sure the exact date, but while I was in the holodeck a person with the name of STSF_, I can't remember the rest, began to interrogate me, asking such questions as "Why are you in the STSF group?" "Do you think you'll make it in the group?". And quite a few other quetsions. The person then claimed to be a STSF person who was checking to see who will get promoted by judging reactions to the questions that were being asked. Naturally, I refused to give responces to any questions she asked becasue I couldn't find her name anywhere on the STSF.net web page, but I wanted to warn you there are people out there impersonating the STSF GM's.
  19. I vote against teh creation of this ship. I believe that even if the ship was created, a STSF member would have to run it, and no one should have the power, except for the STSF leaders to create a ship.
  20. Commondore Atragon- I'm glad to have asked! I just hadn't noticed any personal logs here so I didn't know whether it was something peopel did. Maybe I'll get everyone rolling on them because they'll see mine....
  21. I was wondering about once you join a ship, are you supposed to post a log in the ships log area weekly? It seems logical, but I'm unsure if it is required. I also noticed the USS Arcadia hasn't posted any logs, this is confusing because I want to learn about the ship, but I am unable to read anything.
  22. Meh

::Wonders why he is suspicios as to what is going on:: ???
  23. Try it now, it should show. My first 2 hosting services don't allow images to be remotely accessed. Hopefully this one does. As everyone says, the 3rd time is the charm!
  24. Absolutely! I 100% believe that the Romulans will be a mystery to the ENT crew untill the Suliban are delt w/. Once the Suliban are out of the picture, I predict that the writers will bring a new enemy in for the ENT crew, the Romulans! Makes perfect sence. Every series needs an enemy. TOS had Klingons, TNG had Romulans and Borg, DS9 had the Dominion, and VOY had Kazon, Borg, and 8472. ENT has Suliban so far, but they need a bigger enemy that can tie them into the other series, which the Romulans do perfectly. The quetsion is, with the NX-01 being so inadvanced in comparison w/the other races, how will they ever survive a Romulan attack on them? I mean, I watched the episode w/the Romulan mine field, and the first thing that came to my mind was "transporter". I mean, they didn't even TRY it! At least they could have tried and said "Sorry, the radiation coming from the mine is disrupting the signal. I'm not willing to risk it." But not ONE CREWMEMBER even SUGGESTED the transporter! I mean literlay, the WHOLE episode I was thinking transporter. My concern is if the ENT crew can't use their own technology when its required, then how will they survive?
  25. I wish to apologize, I was so excited that I graduated I forgot that things don't happen instantly! I hope I didn't offend you. I sent a reply.
