  1. Hey.. I voted against the guy, signed the petition to get him out of office.. and I totally agree with you. Unfortunately I am just a peon and my union can only do so much...
  2. No.. we rescued them after. Read my syntax...its perfectly clear. :)
  3. I need a title... I am no longer a Marine, so that doesn't fit. I still swill tequila, but perhaps that isnt the best title for a GM... Come up with something!
  4. DO you know that they actually teach Klingon at Harvard? Something like 30 universities teach Klingon as a foreign language for credit now. (Probably more but that used to be the number) And now Harvard Business School has classes on the Ferengi Laws of Aquisition. All of it has to pay more than the State of CA... who will be paying state employees minimum wage starting July 1 if the budget doesn't pass. Except elected officials who will of course continue with their overpaid salary.... Go figure....
  5. My fave version of AOL was 1.5. Since then they keep adding useless crap, but you can't run older versions without endless unstoppable *new features!* downloads. Back to the original subject... When I first started simming (and I won't tell you when since some of you were still in diapers) I played medical and counselor a lot, because I felt comfortable there. And I created characters around those roles. Later I branched out and played helm, tactical, security and even dabbled in science and engineering. I still try and stay away from engineering, mostly cause I end up with ensigns who know far more about why stuff works than I do. And strangely enough, I rarely play medical anymore. Prolly cause I do enough of that in RL that I don't need it for fun. The one I did learn is that creating a character to play a specific post is the wrong way to do it. Create a versatile character and then as you grow you can move around. Ziggy has played tac, helm, security, a marine and a science officer on the Arcadia. And the great thing is, he has the flexibility written into his character to do that. Just my five bucks.
  6. Well, okay - I only have one thing to say about Manticore... last week, we blew up a planet. We didn't destroy a building or a city or poisoned an atmosphere - we BLEW UP A PLANET. Thank you, that is all. Wow.. I am so... sorry for the poor people of the planet. What happened? Did you let Dac take control of your sim? On the Arcadia we have been aspiring to more noble endeavours, such as rescuing Federation citizens who had been captured/kidnapped/etc and made to be slaves. We have such a noble leader you know.. I think it has something to do with the antlers.
