And the best thing about having the convention in Las Vegas is ... the Hilton!! Star trek the expeience, Quarks, ST shopping, ST slot machines, room keys with the Enterprise on them, and the list goes on....

I never got to watch B5.. yet I have the feeling I would have been hooked. I have always loved Trek in its many guises. SG:1 was great for about 3seasons, then it went off the deep end. Battlestar Gallactica was a great show for its time, and I loved it then, and I still catch the occassional rerun. What about Buck Rogers? Corny but good. Red Dwarf was great, and I have had the DVDs on my wish list for awhile. But my real fave was DR. Who. Some incarnations were better than others, but they had great villans, fun storylines, and kooky special effects that they never apologized for.

I am so glad to hear that you are recovering well. Sounds like the surgery was a success.. and that you are back home and online is wonderful news!! I hope your recovery continues going well, and that you'll be back to all your normal activities soon! Looking forward to seeing you drop by an academy or two!!

Very good suggestions Jacob. As a GM, its really nice to see cadets interacting in this manner. It lets us know a little more about you, as well as making the sim more interesting. Once you are in advanced sims, the small talk can become very important. If you watch the CO and XO of the academy sim, at the beginning they are usually exchanging small talk, and its almost always about the mission. There may even be something important about the plot, as when Laura and I were talking at the start of the early Sunday acad. This Sunday in the late night academy, Grom and I started jibing each other about our mothers visiting the ship. We made this a running joke throughout the academy, and everyone caught on to it, and added to it. Just remember to keep it related to the plot. Having a love affair, ordering food, making dates, going off to the mess hall for tea, etc are NOT ways to introduce small talk.

I have 12 horses.. I have two arms.. I have a pooper scooper. :D Since its summer, the poop is not much of an issue.. just about everyone is outside so I dont have much poop to scoop. Its the wintertime thats bad, when everyone is inside. Anyone want to buy a horse???

Well, I can only speak for myself, but I work on Fridays. However, many people consider Fridays the weekend, and are busy then. So, I can't host on Fridays.

Moose... I did have them stashed in the galley.. but everyone kept stealing them! I have them tucked away in a special refrigerated box in a special place I am not telling anyone. (Until the BBQ, of course!) I do need to talk to Garn about my mini fridge.. I need it for the fajita fixins... You can get chicken from the galley Jacob! And McHale.. you're a Marine... I am sure you can find my quarters without me having to draw you a map! :)
