  1. Yep, from Texas.. and been to NM many many times. Even considered moving there. But right now I am stuck in the budgetstricken, overspent, moreexpensivethananyplaceelse, CA. Which means that I pay twice as much to live here, and get paid half as much to work here.
  2. Calling cows and horses smelly???? SMELLY???? Hmm.... I see an academy revenge coming...
  3. I still like my original Sega Genesis.....
  4. I know that the USS Olie once asked the Maticore for assistance when they were having mechanical problems and all we got was a wicked laugh.........
  5. Well, I am still the nice to cadets GM, but I am over my pout. But at least I know I can be mean to the cadets and they will still like me....
  6. Ok, we are down to the final round of the Captains poll.. I think this string is going to spawn the battle of the ships....
  7. I get the same thing A, plus they have new popups for match.com and all kinds of stupid websites like that.
  8. There is more than one end??? On Manticore?? Oh yes! Well and here I thought the quote was supposed to be: The end justifies the means.
  9. And this is coming from the guy with a horsie avatar. The irony. Thats not just any horsie avatar.. that is a powerful, awesome stallion. And at least mine is of a powerful stallion and not some cheesy lion laying in grass with a lamb. I mean come on.. a real lion would be eating lunch.
  10. There is more than one end???
  11. A Ziggy!! And Arcadia has the one and only :D
  12. But Grommie, Suggesting she be on a sim with you IS suggesting an inferior sim. Now the Arcadia on the other hand... :D ::still has the phasers in line with Grom:::
  13. I'm not getting any popups. :D
  14. Vogon poetry reading.. and hitchikers guides... I wanna be 21 again!
  15. Look Anika..... the fight has begun over who gets you!!!
  16. ROFL!!! So he;s just jealous, eh? Awww, thanks Garn. Its a scheduling thing really. At least for the next year, I am only available on the first half of the week. :D
  17. Quality???? Quality????? I'll show you quality!! ::aims phaser banks and torpedos on Grom, takes into account ducking::: Fire at (not will) GROM!! :D Now, back on topic, see how much fun us advanced players have???
  18. I'm gonna say I like the old site better. It looked more ... more ... Trekkie? I dunno, more like a ship console. The new *silvery* site looks more like the generic websites I see all over the place nowadays. Reminds me alot of a news site. Does NOT catch my attention. Then again, I am the one still whining that AOL upgraded from the best version ever... 1.5
  19. Grommie... that is shameless recruiting. :D Tsk Tsk... Besides, everyone knows that the Arcadia is the best darn ship in the fleet!!!
  20. Once you know what times fit with your schedule, the best advice I have is to watch the sims that fit. If you have a few problems, then talk to members of the crew, especially the CO/XO, and dept head of the dept you want. I never planned on science, but it was the only opening on the Arcadia when I started. So I took it, and although I was only there for a month or two, it has provided a few interesting twists for my character over the years. I am not the science or engineering type, but both times I created Ziggy he played one or the other. I don't advise jumping on more than one ship to start. Give yourself time to create and play one character, at least long enough that you feel comforatable and realize the time committment involved in an advanced sim before jumping in to another.
  21. Moose! My Captain, My Mentor.
  22. I went to this thing called Youth Congress..waaaaaaaaay back in ancient times when I was in HS. Church youth groups from all over the world meeting up in Washington DC. What a scary thing. (It was). We had an electrical box explode in our hotel the morning after we arrived... wo days before we could go back and get clothing, showers, etc. Not the best way to pick up chicks... I met some awesome people from MN, and I am from TX, and we sent mail (yes.. write letters email, in the days before email) for years. I even considered college in MN for a time. So, not all people from MN and TX don't get along. :D And I am here to say that while DFW may not be the busiest airport, it has to be one of the largest. Remember, it is the main hub for AA. We used to do scavenger hunts in teh airport, in HS we used to go out there just to ride around on the tram, and it was a great place to go pick up members of the opposite sex. (We always went as a mixed group.) More fun than the mall!!!
  23. Hate Texas??? Atlanta is no where NEAR Texas. Comments about hating Texas are a sure fire way to incite the wrath of Ziggy.... ::;starts thumbing through that guide Dac gave him::::
  24. I liked the interaction Mary Tamm had... but yeah, I'm a sucker for the blonde. :P
  25. The second, played by Lalla Ward. (Who was once married to Tom Baker)
