  1. Louise entered her room at the academy and collapsed onto the bed. Another simulation on the Holodeck was over. It had been the second instalment of a mission on the USS Tango. One that dealt with the serious issues of murder and mortal peril. She'd enjoyed them both, tiring as they were and yet could still not equate holodeck peril as real peril in her mind. She swung her legs onto the bed and kicked off her shoes. Stretching her toes she felt the tension leave her body. It was a whole week until the next academy. There'd be more lessons, more of the field research she'd signed up for and perhaps a cheeky drink at the Redstar before then. And somewhere in between she'd have to call home. It had been a while. Still, all that could wait until tomorrow. 'Lights.' she said. The already subdued lighting in her room darkened and she closed her eyes. Her mind began to drift...
