  5. Personal Specifications Officer: Commander Erika Rinax, M.D. Race: Human: Japanese | Irish | American (blend) Sex: Female Height: .127 m (5’10”) Weight: 60.8 kg (134 lbs) Eye Color: Green Hair Color: Deep Red to Black, very long to her waist, but rarely wears it down (naturally, though she does fun or funny things to it often) Skin Color: Pale light beige, delicately freckled Language: Kings English Secondary: Japanese fluently; other foreign species mildly communicative. Professional Career History Dr. Erika Rinax spent six years as Professor to, and the Director of the Neuropatal institute for Neuroscience and Human behavior at the University of Hong Kong. She was also a founding member and Fellow of the United Federation Psychiatric Association. She spent much of her time lecturing on interspecies relations, and was the recipient of many awards. Her valued skills that came from such studies were what made her; however, it was her passion to be part of the stars, species, and discoveries taking place far beyond the educational avenues she’d been a part of. Her passion, however, was to return to a starship, directly working with various species from around the galaxies in such a position, that she wouldn’t be ‘assigned’ to some distant starbase to study a single species day, after week, after month, without any interaction of others. To effectively do this, she had to return to Starfleet Academy in California, and work through Command classes, so that she could get a spot on the bridge of a ship and finally get some choices to work with varied species. The academy was interesting at this point in her life, since she’d been in the professional world for quite a season. Already being a doctor with her background was odd, even to the professors there, some who had taken her classes at Univ. of Hong Kong. Since she had a lot of life experience, which was how she was able to pass by many of the required classes, she was assigned to a starship before two years. She didn’t get assigned to an individual federation starship, but was planted by Starfleet Intelligence to many different situations, depending on where her vast skills were needed. Her last assignment, before boarding the USS Challenger, was for SF Intel, where she posed as a Rihanssu Maenek (Romulan Doctor) well over 6 months, though her assignment was only for 2, and infiltrated a group that contained Khre’Riov tr’Kaye, who was reportedly asking for defection, or not.
